A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
There is no EverydayMeds shop to visit: we are an online pharmacy, and Mounjaro 10mg is dispensed and delivered by tracked courier.
-
The 10mg pen costs £290.99 per month at the standard price. A new customer's first order is £40 less with code FIRST40.
-
Mounjaro is prescription-only, so any genuine seller, online or on the high street, needs a consultation reviewed by a prescriber.
-
Most people reach 10mg by stepping up from 2.5mg, so check with your prescriber that it is the right dose before you buy.
-
Check any seller on the GPhC register before you buy. Fake pens have been seized in the UK.

01 · Where to buy
Where can I buy Mounjaro 10mg near me?
The most reliable way to buy Mounjaro 10mg is from a GPhC-registered pharmacy that dispenses against a prescription. For most people that means ordering online. We deliver the Mounjaro pen to your home, so "near me" in practice means your front door. If you want a wider view of where else people look, see the Mounjaro stockist guide.
We supply through official LillyDirect channels, which means genuine KwikPens sourced from Eli Lilly's UK distribution. All six doses from 2.5mg to 15mg are in stock. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, and delivery is free, next-day, tracked and sent in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.
Other pharmacies, including high-street chains and online providers, manage stock differently, and it changes daily. Ring or check a seller directly before relying on a listing. Our guides to pharmacies that list Mounjaro and who has Mounjaro near you explain how to check.
02 · Price
How much does Mounjaro 10mg cost?
One 10mg pen, which holds four weekly doses, costs £290.99 at our standard price. That works out at £72.75 per week. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, and every later order has an automatic £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). The consultation is free, and the price shown is the price paid with no hidden fees.
For context, across the UK pharmacies we track (checked 10 October 2026), Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 depending on dose and provider. For the same dose, the gap between providers runs from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro dose prices range from £179.00 to £339.00. Use these figures to compare like for like, and always compare the same strength. If price is your main question, our pages on comparing 10mg prices and lower-cost 10mg options go deeper.
Eli Lilly raised the UK list price of Mounjaro in September 2025.
| Stage | Pens | What it costs (standard price) |
|---|---|---|
| Staying on 10mg, per month | 1 pen | £290.99 |
| First year if you stay on 5mg after one 2.5mg starting pen | 13 pens | £2,711.88 |
| First year if you step up through every dose to 15mg | 13 pens | £3,599.88 |
These totals are at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less. Klarna and pay-monthly options are available, and there are no subscriptions.
03 · How ordering works
How do I order Mounjaro 10mg online?
Ordering takes four steps, and if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, your order is refunded automatically in full.
- Free online consultation. Complete a short health questionnaire. It is free, with no obligation. Start your free consultation.
- Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
- Dispensing and dispatch. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen. Orders by 3pm go out the same day.
- Delivery. Free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order.
Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing ships automatically. Ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments are handled by the prescribing team.
04 · Is 10mg right for me?
Is Mounjaro 10mg the right dose for me?
For most people, 10mg is a step on the way up rather than a starting point. Everyone starts on 2.5mg once a week, and this starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself. After at least 4 weeks the dose increases to 5mg. It can then step up by 2.5mg at a minimum of 4-week intervals (7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg) to a maximum of 15mg weekly, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.1
Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg. Higher is not automatically better, and your prescriber will guide the right pace.1 The new-customer discount applies to your first order at any dose, including 10mg. If you have never taken Mounjaro, expect to begin on 2.5mg and not 10mg.
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2 At 72 weeks, 89% of participants on 10mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight, and half of participants on 10mg lost at least 20%.2
As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 19.5% is about 19.5 kg. That is straight arithmetic on a trial average, and it does not predict your own result.
05 · Who can buy it
Who can buy Mounjaro in the UK?
Adults who meet the licensed criteria and are judged suitable by a prescriber can buy Mounjaro privately. It is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1 A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable.11
Mounjaro is also licensed for type 2 diabetes.1 If you have diabetes, ask your GP or diabetes team about your options, and tell our prescriber about every medicine you take.
On the NHS, Mounjaro is available but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. Ask your GP where you sit in the rollout.
The legal route to any prescription drug in the UK is the same everywhere: a consultation with a prescriber, then a prescription dispensed by a registered pharmacy. Wegovy, the semaglutide injection, follows the same rule, so you cannot lawfully buy semaglutide pens without a prescription. NHS access to Wegovy runs through specialist weight-management services; ask your GP.
06 · Spotting fake pens
How do I avoid fake Mounjaro pens?
Buy only from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide. Never buy from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.7 Anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is not operating legally.
You can check our registration yourself: we are GPhC-registered under number 9012878, and the GPhC register entry is public.12
Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.1 A genuine pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If anything seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.13
07 · Using your pen
How do I inject Mounjaro?
Mounjaro is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Licensed sites are the stomach area (at least 5cm from the belly button), the front of the thigh, or the back of the upper arm if someone else gives the injection. Rotate the site with each dose. Each KwikPen contains four weekly doses.1
Follow the instructions that come with your pen.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours) of the scheduled time. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next one on your normal day. Never take two doses within 3 days of each other. You can change your injection day as long as at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since your last dose.1
There is no best time of day. Mounjaro works the same morning or evening. What matters is the same day each week, and many people choose a weekend morning so early side effects fall on days off.1
08 · Storage and travel
How should I store and travel with my pen?
Keep Mounjaro pens in a fridge at 2–8°C and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, which is useful for short trips, after which it should be discarded. Keep the cap on to protect it from light, and never use a pen that has been frozen.1
You can fly with Mounjaro. Carry pens in hand luggage, because hold luggage can fall below freezing, ideally in a cool bag with the prescription label or a copy of your prescription. Most holidays need no special arrangements, and for hot climates use an insulated pouch. Check destination rules for travelling with prescription injectables before you fly.1
Unopened pens should stay in the fridge and keep until the expiry date printed on the box. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, check with the pharmacy and the patient information leaflet before using it, rather than relying on a day limit you remember. Figures circulating online often come from other countries' labels.13
09 · Realistic results
What results should I expect?
Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest. Most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Trials measured results at 72 weeks, so think in months, not days, and judge progress by trend rather than individual weigh-ins.1
Some people notice appetite change and early loss in week one, and others feel little until a higher dose. Both are normal. Early loss includes water weight. Mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection are the commonest early effects and usually settle.1
Your prescriber reviews your response. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, they will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.1 For an idea of the early weeks, see our guide to the first month on Mounjaro.
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Individual results vary. This page is information, not a substitute for medical advice.
How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
