Welcome to EveryDayMeds. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our website or services.

These Terms include both our general terms (sections 1–14) and our Weight Loss Treatment Terms (section 15). The Weight Loss Treatment Terms apply in addition to, and form part of, these Terms whenever you use our weight loss services. Where there is any conflict between the general terms and the Weight Loss Treatment Terms in relation to a weight loss service, the Weight Loss Treatment Terms will take precedence.

15. Weight Loss Treatment Terms

This section sets out the additional terms that apply when you use our weight loss treatment service, including (but not limited to) prescription-only GLP-1 receptor agonist medicines such as Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) and Wegovy® (semaglutide). These terms are in addition to, and form part of, the rest of these Terms. By starting a weight loss consultation, placing an order or otherwise using our weight loss service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to this section.

15.1 About Our Weight Loss Service

Our weight loss service provides access to prescription-only medicines (POMs) where clinically appropriate, following an online consultation with one of our regulated prescribers. The service is intended for adults living in the United Kingdom who meet defined clinical eligibility criteria.

Weight loss medicines are not suitable for everyone. They are prescribed only as part of an overall plan that includes a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and are not a substitute for lifestyle change.

15.2 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for treatment, you must:

Be aged 18 years or over and resident in the United Kingdom.

Meet the clinical eligibility criteria for the medicine requested, including BMI thresholds and (where applicable) the presence of weight-related health conditions, in line with the medicine’s licensed indication and applicable NICE guidance.

Not be pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Not have any contraindications or clinically significant conditions that would make treatment unsafe, as assessed by our prescriber.

Provide complete, accurate and truthful information during your consultation, including full medical history, current medication, allergies, and lifestyle information.

Our prescriber may decline to issue a prescription at their sole clinical discretion. A purchase or completed consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.

15.3 Identity (ID) and BMI Verification

In line with our regulatory obligations under the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Guidance for Pharmacy Owners providing pharmacy services at a distance, including on the internet, and to support the safe supply of high-risk medicines, all weight loss patients are required to complete the following verification checks before any medicine is dispensed:

Identity (ID) verification: You must complete a digital identity check, which includes a liveness/face-match check against an accepted form of government-issued photographic ID (such as a UK passport, UK driving licence, or other accepted document). This is provided through our verified third-party identity provider.

BMI verification: You must provide verifiable evidence of your current weight and height so that we can confirm your Body Mass Index (BMI). Where required, this includes the submission of recent full-body photographs that meet our verification standards (clear, well-lit, taken within a defined recent timeframe, showing your full body and confirming that the image is a genuine live capture and not an AI-generated, edited or pre-existing image). We use technical and clinical checks to confirm the authenticity of submitted images.

Additional information: Our prescriber may, at their clinical discretion, request additional information or evidence (for example, blood test results, blood pressure readings, or further photographs) before issuing or continuing a prescription.

Where verification is incomplete or unsuccessful, your order cannot proceed.

14-day automatic cancellation: If we do not receive all required verification documents and successfully complete ID and BMI verification within 14 calendar days of your order being placed, your order will be cancelled automatically by our system. Where you have paid for the order, any refund will be processed in accordance with section 15.10 (Cancellations and Refunds) below. You may place a new order at any time once you are ready to complete verification.

We may also refuse, suspend or cancel an order at any time if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that information or documents provided are false, misleading, manipulated, AI-generated, or otherwise do not meet our verification standards.

15.4 The Online Consultation

Before any prescription can be issued, you must complete our online clinical consultation in full. By submitting your consultation, you confirm that the information you have provided is true, complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Providing false, incomplete or misleading information is unsafe and may result in: (i) refusal of treatment; (ii) cancellation of any existing order; (iii) being permanently blocked from future use of our services; and (iv) where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.

Our prescribers may contact you for clarification, request a further questionnaire, video consultation, or additional clinical information before making a prescribing decision. They may also decline to prescribe, prescribe a different medicine, dose, or duration than requested, or recommend that you see your GP or another healthcare professional.

15.5 Communication with Your GP

In line with GPhC guidance on prescribing high-risk medicines and the safe supply of medicines at a distance, communication with your registered GP forms an important part of safe care.

GP notification on order: By placing an order for a weight loss medicine, you acknowledge and consent to us notifying your registered GP that you have been prescribed and supplied a weight loss medicine through our service. This notification will typically include your name, date of birth, the medicine prescribed, the dose, the quantity supplied, the date of supply, the prescriber’s details, and any relevant clinical information (for example, current weight, BMI, and key safety information from your consultation).

We will continue to notify your GP at clinically appropriate points during your treatment, including (but not limited to) when your dose is changed, when treatment is stopped, or when a clinically significant issue arises.

If you do not consent to your GP being informed, we may not be able to provide you with treatment. In limited circumstances where you object to GP notification, our prescriber will assess whether it remains clinically safe and appropriate to prescribe; if it is not, treatment will be declined. We will not, however, withhold notifications where we consider this necessary to comply with our professional duties or to protect your safety.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate, up-to-date GP details. If you do not have a registered GP, you must tell us during your consultation – our prescriber will then decide whether it is safe to proceed.

15.6 Prescribing Decisions

All prescribing decisions are made by our independent prescribers based on their clinical judgement, the information you have provided, applicable clinical guidelines (including NICE), the medicine’s Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC), and our internal clinical governance policies.

Our prescribers may, at any time and for any clinical reason: refuse to issue a prescription; reduce, increase or stop a dose; switch you to a different medicine; or end your treatment with us. Where this happens, we will explain our reasoning and, where appropriate, signpost you to other support.

15.7 Medicines, Doses and Dose Escalation

Weight loss medicines are typically started at a low dose and increased gradually (“dose escalation”) in line with the licensed dosing schedule. You must not increase your dose ahead of schedule, exceed the maximum licensed dose, or share your medicine with anyone else.

If you experience side effects, you should follow the guidance provided with your medicine and contact us or your GP. Some side effects may require a delay in dose escalation, dose reduction, or discontinuation of treatment.

Continued supply is conditional on you completing follow-up reviews when requested. We may pause or stop supply if you do not engage with reviews.

15.8 Side Effects, Safety and Emergencies

All medicines can cause side effects. Common side effects of GLP-1 receptor agonists include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, and reduced appetite. Serious but less common side effects can include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, severe allergic reactions, and dehydration.

If you experience any serious or persistent symptoms, you must stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice immediately. In a medical emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E department. EveryDayMeds is not an emergency service and we are not able to respond to urgent clinical issues outside of our published service hours.

You can also report suspected side effects directly to the MHRA via the Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk.

15.9 Delivery of Weight Loss Medicines

Weight loss medicines are dispensed from our GPhC-registered pharmacy and delivered using tracked services. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and for ensuring that someone aged 18 or over is available to receive your order, as a signature may be required.

Weight loss medicines are temperature-sensitive and must be stored in line with the manufacturer’s instructions on receipt. Please ensure your delivery address is suitable to receive a temperature-sensitive parcel.

If your parcel does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate.

15.10 Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Because of the nature of prescription-only medicines and applicable medicines regulations, you do not have the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations once a medicine has been dispensed.

You may cancel an order at any time before your prescription has been dispensed. If your order is cancelled (including under section 15.3 due to incomplete verification), any payment taken will be refunded to your original payment method, less any non-refundable consultation fee where this is clearly disclosed at checkout.

Dispensed medicines cannot be returned for re-use, even if unopened, and cannot be refunded – except where the medicine is faulty, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or where required by law. If you believe there is a problem with your medicine, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographs and a description of the issue so we can investigate.

15.11 Repeat Treatment and Ongoing Care

Continued or repeat supply of weight loss medicines is subject to a successful clinical review at intervals determined by our prescriber. You may be asked to provide updated weight, photographs, BMI, and answers to clinical questions before each repeat is approved.

If you do not complete the requested review within the timeframe given, your repeat order will not be approved and may be cancelled. Where required, we will also notify your GP that treatment has been paused or stopped.

15.12 Your Responsibilities

By using our weight loss service, you agree that you will:

Provide complete, accurate and honest information at all times, including in your consultation, verification documents, and follow-up reviews.

Use any medicine supplied only for yourself, in accordance with the directions given, and not share, sell, or pass it on to another person.

Store your medicine safely, including refrigeration where required, and out of reach of children.

Inform us promptly of any new medical condition, new medication, pregnancy, or significant change in your health while under our care.

Not place duplicate orders, use multiple identities, or otherwise attempt to obtain medicines beyond what has been clinically approved for you.

Treat our staff with respect. Abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour may result in your account being closed and treatment refused.

15.13 Data Sharing for Weight Loss Care

In addition to the data handling described in section 10, by using our weight loss service you acknowledge that we may share your information with: our pharmacists and prescribers; our identity verification provider; your registered GP and other healthcare professionals where this is necessary for your care; regulators (including the GPhC and MHRA) where required; and law enforcement where legally required.

15.14 Limitation of Liability – Weight Loss Service

Without limiting section 9, we are not liable for: (i) any loss or harm arising from information you have provided that turns out to be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading; (ii) any loss or harm arising from your failure to follow medical advice, the patient information leaflet, or these Terms; or (iii) any loss caused by you self-escalating doses, sharing medicines with others, or using medicines other than as prescribed. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

15.15 Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our weight loss service, please contact us at support@everydaymeds.co.uk so we can try to resolve the issue. If you remain dissatisfied, you can also contact the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the regulator for pharmacies and pharmacy professionals in Great Britain.
