What a Mounjaro 10mg pen costs in the UK

Our Mounjaro pen at 10mg costs £274.99 per month at the standard price, which works out at £68.75 per week. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose, including 10mg, with code FIRST40. After that, every future order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). Prices were last checked 25 October 2026, and all six doses are in stock.

Each 10mg KwikPen holds four weekly doses, so one pen covers four weeks. That is the unit to compare. Some listings quote a price per dose, per week or per two pens, which makes them look cheaper or dearer than they are.

How to compare like for like

Start with the dose and the pen. A 10mg price should be for one four-week pen of 10mg. Do not compare it with a 2.5mg starter price, because starter pens are priced differently and are often used as the headline offer.

Then check four things before you decide:

• Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
• Needles and sharps bin: these and the injection guidance are included with every order.
• Delivery: free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

How ordering works

Ordering takes three steps. There is no subscription, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

• 1. Free online consultation. Complete a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation, via our free consultation.
• 2. Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. Unsuitable orders are refunded automatically.
• 3. Dispensing and delivery. Our registered pharmacy dispenses it, and it arrives by free next-day tracked delivery.

You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, Klarna, or pay-monthly options. Anyone who is already on 10mg elsewhere can switch to us at that dose and still receive the new-customer discount on their first order. A prescriber still decides whether 10mg is right for you. 04 · Beyond the sticker price

What to look for beyond the sticker price

The advertised 10mg price is only part of what you pay. Comparison pages often show a low headline figure and leave out items that appear at checkout. The aim is to compare the total you will actually pay for one pen delivered to your door.

Begin with the consultation. Some providers charge for it, some fold it into the medicine price, and some only reveal it at the last step. 05 · Year cost planning

Planning the cost over a year at 10mg

Mounjaro is a long course, so the monthly price matters less than what a year costs. Nobody starts at 10mg, because everyone starts at 2.5mg and steps up. Your first year therefore mixes lower-dose pens and, if you reach it, 10mg pens.

If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.

If you settle at 10mg, the ongoing cost is £274.99 per month at standard price, minus £25 on every later order. A year is 52 weeks, or 13 pens. For reference, a first year costs £2,399.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,279.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, both at standard prices before discounts.

A few things can help with cost. A reorder discount applies to every future order. There is also no lock-in, since we do not run subscriptions, and Klarna and pay-monthly options can spread the cost.

06 · Who 10mg is for

Who 10mg is for and how you reach it

10mg is reached by stepping up from 2.5mg. Everyone starts Mounjaro on 2.5mg once a week, and this starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself.¹ After at least 4 weeks the dose increases to 5mg. It can then step up by 2.5mg at a minimum of 4-week intervals (7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg) up to a maximum of 15mg weekly, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.¹

Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg. Higher is not automatically better, and your prescriber will guide the right pace.¹¹

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.¹ A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable.⁴

Mounjaro is injected under the skin once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Licensed sites are the stomach area (at least 5cm from the belly button), the front of the thigh, or the back of the upper arm if someone else gives the injection. Rotate the site with each dose, and note that each KwikPen contains four weekly doses.¹³

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours) of the scheduled time. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next one on your normal day. Never take two doses within 3 days of each other.¹³ You can change your injection day if at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since your last dose.¹³

07 · What trials show at 10mg

What the trials show at 10mg

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 19.5% of their body weight on 10mg over 72 weeks. The comparison group, on lifestyle changes alone, lost 3.1%.² For someone starting at 100 kg, 19.5% is about 19.5 kg. These are trial averages, and individual results vary.

The same trial reported that 89% of participants on 10mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight at 72 weeks. Half of participants on 10mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.² For comparison within the same trial, the averages were 15% on 5mg and 20.9% on 15mg.²

Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.² A price comparison should not tempt you to treat the pen as the whole plan.

Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest. Most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. The trials measured results at 72 weeks, so think in months, not days, and judge progress by the trend, not individual weigh-ins.¹ Early loss includes water weight. Mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection are the commonest early effects, and they usually settle.¹³

Your response is reviewed. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.⁴ That is part of the ongoing monthly review we include.

Tirzepatide works by activating two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. These help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve the way the body responds to insulin.¹ Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals.

08 · Counterfeit risk

Why a very low 10mg price needs checking

An unusually low Mounjaro price is a reason to check the seller, not to celebrate. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register. Never buy from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation, so any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a red flag. Ours is GPhC registration 9012878.

Genuine UK stock is supplied through Eli Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies. Every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked. Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, and we stock genuine KwikPens at all six doses from 2.5mg to 15mg.

When your pen arrives, check it. A genuine pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use.¹³ If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact it before injecting.¹²

Storage matters after delivery too. Keep pens in a fridge at 2–8°C and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, after which it should be discarded. Keep the cap on to protect it from light.¹ Unopened pens keep until the expiry date on the box. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, check with the pharmacy before using it, rather than relying on a day limit you remember from elsewhere.¹³

You can fly with Mounjaro. Carry pens in hand luggage, because hold luggage can fall below freezing, ideally in a cool bag with the prescription label or a copy of your prescription.¹³

09 · Saving money safely

Ways to save that are safe, and ones that are not

The safe ways to lower your cost are a better price on the same pen or the NHS if you qualify. Stretching or spacing out pens to save money is unlicensed.

Mounjaro is licensed as a once-weekly medicine, and its blood levels are designed around a 7-day cycle. Talk to your clinical team rather than self-adjusting.

Each KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.

What about the NHS? Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.⁴⁶ Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.⁵ Ask your GP whether you qualify.
