01 · Availability
How do you find pharmacies that have Mounjaro near you?
Ring the pharmacy before you travel, because we cannot see the shelves of any other pharmacy and no live public stock map exists. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so a branch can only dispense it against a valid prescription for your dose.
A short phone script saves time. Ask these four things:
- Do you have my exact strength (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg or 15mg) available today?
- Will you dispense against a prescription from another prescriber?
- What is the price for one pen, which is four weeks of treatment?
- Can you hold it for me, or is it a special order with a wait?
Stock can differ by dose. A branch may hold a starter pen but not a higher strength, so ask about the dose you actually need. If you are mid-treatment, a gap between pens matters, so check availability well before your next injection is due. We have dose-specific guides for 5mg availability near you, 10mg availability near you and 15mg availability near you.
You can also read our wider guides on who stocks Mounjaro locally, local pharmacy options and how a Mounjaro stockist differs from a branch that only takes orders.
02 · Our supply
What is the situation with EverydayMeds supply?
All six doses are in stock through official LillyDirect supply, which means Mounjaro direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution and genuine KwikPens. You do not need to phone round branches. You order the Mounjaro pen, and the pharmacy dispenses and ships it.
Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). A new customer's first order at any dose is £40 less, including people switching to us at a higher dose. Every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). Switching at 15mg? Your first order is £289.99.
Standard prices per four-week pen are £218.99 at 5mg, £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. These totals are before discounts.
Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens run from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, as checked 10 October 2026. These are standard prices, so compare them with our standard prices of £169.99 to £329.99. The gap between providers for the same dose ranges from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro doses range from £179.00 to £339.00. Compare like for like, dose for dose, before you choose.
03 · How it works
How does ordering work if you skip the branch?
Ordering takes three stages, and the consultation is free with no obligation. The price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees.
- Free online consultation: a short health questionnaire. Start your free consultation.
- Prescriber review: reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
- Dispatch and delivery: same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm, then free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.
Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing ships automatically. We take Visa, Mastercard and Klarna, and offer pay-monthly options with no subscription lock-in. Ongoing monthly reviews are included.
04 · What Mounjaro is
What is Mounjaro and how does it work?
Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1
Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1
This dual action distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic). Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.13 If you are weighing the two molecules, see our guide to semaglutide options.
05 · Who is eligible
Who can be prescribed Mounjaro, and what BMI is needed?
Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1
It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.11 That assessment applies at every pharmacy, high street or online. You should not take Mounjaro if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Stop Mounjaro at least one month before trying to conceive, and if you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems. Always share your full medical history and medicine list during consultation.
If you are weighing up wider options, our page on weight loss treatment near you and our overview of all weight loss treatments set out the alternatives.
06 · NHS or private
Is Mounjaro available on the NHS?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46
Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. The NHS prescription charge in England is £9.90 per item, but that applies only where the NHS prescribes it, not to private supply.
07 · Trial results
What did the main weight-loss trial show?
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks. People on lifestyle changes alone lost 3.1%.2
These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.2
At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20%.2 Our first-month guide sets realistic expectations for the early weeks.
08 · Buying safely
How do you avoid fake Mounjaro when stock is hard to find?
Buy only from a pharmacy you can find on the GPhC register, and treat anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription as a red flag. Mounjaro is prescription-only, so a legitimate seller will always involve a prescriber.7
Check any pharmacy's registration on the GPhC register entry for EverydayMeds (9012878).12 Be wary of social media sellers, marketplaces and unusually low prices. If you suspect a counterfeit product or have a side effect, report it through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.19

How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
