01 · Choosing a provider

How to choose a Mounjaro online pharmacy in the UK

The safest online pharmacy for Mounjaro is one that is registered with the GPhC, requires a prescriber consultation, and sources genuine pens. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so any site that offers to supply without a consultation or prescription should be avoided.7

03 · How it works

How ordering works, step by step

Ordering takes four steps, and if a prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, your order is refunded automatically in full.

  • 1. Free online consultation. A short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation. Start your free consultation when you are ready.
  • 2. Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • 3. Dispensing and dispatch. Your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy, with same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm.
  • 4. Delivery. Free next-day tracked delivery by DPD in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included with every order. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat, or by phone on 0333 207 0413.

04 · What Mounjaro is

What Mounjaro is and how it works

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes.1 It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin.1 In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.

This dual action distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).1 Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1

You can read more on our buy Mounjaro online page.

05 · Who can get it

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro privately

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1 It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1

A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.1 That is the purpose of the consultation: it is a clinical decision, not an automatic approval. If a prescriber decides Mounjaro is not right for you, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Repeat orders re-check suitability each time, and nothing ships automatically. Your prescribing team also handles monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, plus side-effect support. If you start a new medicine or notice a new symptom, tell your prescriber. You can also report suspected side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.19

06 · NHS or private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition.4 The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.6

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.6

Private supply costs money, but it is available to adults who meet the licensed criteria and are assessed as suitable.

07 · What trials show

What the SURMOUNT-1 trial found

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2

As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Trial averages do not predict your own result, and your prescriber will set expectations with you based on your health and the dose you reach.

08 · Avoiding fakes

Avoiding counterfeit Mounjaro and unregulated sellers

Buy only from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme for reporting suspected problems.7 Before you order from any site, look up its registration number on the public GPhC register and check that the name and website match.12

Be cautious if a seller:

  • offers to supply without a consultation or prescription;
  • makes dramatic weight-loss claims or promises specific results;
  • sells through social media or messaging apps rather than a registered pharmacy;
  • cannot tell you where its pens come from.

Our pens come through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and are genuine KwikPens. If anything about a delivery looks wrong, contact us. Faulty, damaged or wrong items should be reported within 3 days of delivery.

09 · Delivery and aftercare

Delivery, support and aftercare

Delivery is free, next-day and tracked, using DPD with temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, and Saturday delivery is available for £14.99.

Aftercare is part of the service rather than an add-on. The prescribing team provides ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, plus side-effect support. Dose changes are made by the prescriber, not by you.

If you want to track your progress, the free GLPTrackr companion app (iOS and Android) lets you log your GLP-1 journey. We have supported over 100,000 customers, and the same consultation process applies to every one of them.

On refunds: declined consultations are refunded automatically in full, and refunds take 5–10 working days. Dispensed prescription medicines cannot be returned, except if faulty, damaged or the wrong item. Our pharmacy comparison and e-pharmacy guide explain how different services handle this, and you can see all weight loss treatments we offer.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
