A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so every legitimate route involves a prescriber reviewing your health information first.
-
What a provider asks you to submit differs between pharmacies. Compare the process before you pay, not after.
-
Anyone offering Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription is a safety risk, however easy it looks.
-
Our consultation is free and reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
-
A new customer's first 2.5mg pen is £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99).

01 · Your options
Where you can legitimately get Mounjaro
There are three legitimate routes to Mounjaro in the UK: the NHS, a GP or other prescriber, and a regulated online pharmacy. Each ends with a prescriber deciding whether the medicine is suitable for you. None of them lets you skip that decision.
The reason is simple. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. It is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding.111
02 · Our process
How our consultation works
Our consultation is a short health questionnaire. It is free, with no obligation, and a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. It is not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
The simplest way to see exactly what is needed is to start your free consultation. It costs nothing, and you can stop at any point before paying.
Once approved, the medicine is dispensed by our registered pharmacy. Same-day dispatch applies when you order by 3pm. Delivery is free, next-day, tracked and temperature-controlled in discreet packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.
03 · Cost
What Mounjaro costs through a regulated pharmacy
Your first Mounjaro pen at 2.5mg has a standard price of £169.99. A new customer's first order is £129.99 with code FIRST40. Every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). The consultation is free, the price shown is the price paid, and there are no hidden fees.
Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens ranged from £143.96 to £339.00 per month at all doses when we checked on 10 October 2026. For the 2.5mg starting pen alone, the range was £143.96 to £179.99. The gap between providers for the same dose ran from £27 to £41. Comparing the full cost matters more than choosing a provider on the promise of a quicker process.
| Stage | What it covers | Cost basis (standard prices) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter pen (2.5mg) | 4 weekly doses, adjustment phase | £169.99 per month |
| First year at 5mg | 13 pens over 52 weeks | £2,711.88 |
| First year at 15mg | 13 pens over 52 weeks | £3,599.88 |
These totals are before discounts. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less. Not everyone climbs to the top dose: many people settle at 5mg, 10mg or 15mg, and higher is not automatically better.1
04 · Ordering
How ordering works in three steps
Ordering with us takes three steps, and the first costs nothing.
- Free online consultation. Complete a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation.
- Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. Unsuitable orders are refunded automatically.
- Dispatch and delivery. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen. Free next-day tracked delivery follows, with needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance included.
You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, Klarna or pay-monthly options. There are no subscriptions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping. Our Buy Mounjaro page has the full live price table.
05 · Why people want to avoid photos
Why some people want Mounjaro without sending photos
People ask this for understandable reasons: privacy, discomfort about body image, poor phone access or simple impatience. Those concerns are real, and a good pharmacy should take them seriously.
Online pharmacies differ in how they gather information. Some ask for more supporting detail than others. If a particular request puts you off, your options are to compare how other regulated providers handle it, or to go through your GP. What you should not do is look for someone who skips the assessment altogether.

Whichever pharmacy you consider, ask three questions before paying: Is it on the GPhC register? Does a named prescriber review your answers? What happens to your money if you are declined? Our registration is GPhC 9012878, and you can check it on the GPhC register.12
06 · Why a prescriber must assess you
Why a prescriber has to assess you first
A prescriber has to assess you because Mounjaro is licensed only for specific groups, and suitability depends on your health and your other medicines. The licensed criteria are a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.111
The prescriber also needs your medical history and current medicines. That matters for several reasons. Tirzepatide slows how quickly the stomach empties, and this can reduce absorption of oral contraceptives. The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 Doses of insulin or sulfonylureas may also need adjusting because of the low blood sugar risk. A prescriber can only advise on these points if they have accurate information from you.1
This is also why we describe the process the way we do: a free consultation, reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, with automatic refunds if the order is unsuitable. If you are wondering whether a doctor is needed at all, our guides on getting Mounjaro without a doctor and whether a prescription is required explain why the answer is yes.
07 · Red flags and counterfeit risk
Red flags: sellers who skip the assessment
A seller offering to supply Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription is a serious red flag, because it means nobody has checked whether the medicine is safe for you. It also raises the risk that what arrives is not genuine tirzepatide.
The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme for reporting suspected problems.7 Be wary of any seller that:
- Sells through social media, messaging apps or marketplace listings rather than a registered pharmacy.
- Offers pens, vials or powders with no prescriber involvement.
- Promises specific results or dramatic weight-loss claims.
- Cannot show a GPhC registration number you can look up.
- Has prices far below what other regulated providers charge.
We supply genuine KwikPens through official LillyDirect supply, sourced directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and we stock all six doses from 2.5mg to 15mg. If you have already used a source you now doubt, speak to a pharmacist or your GP, and report side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.19
08 · The NHS route
The NHS route: what is available
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40 or above with four or more qualifying conditions.46
Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. If you think you may qualify on the NHS, your GP is the place to start. The NHS guide to tirzepatide explains the medicine itself.5
Mounjaro is one of the weight loss injections the NHS offers. NHS access to Wegovy runs through specialist weight-management services, so ask your GP. Our guide to getting Mounjaro without a GP covers the private alternative.
09 · Once you are prescribed
What happens after approval
Everyone starts on 2.5mg once a week. That starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself. After at least 4 weeks the dose increases to 5mg, and can then step up by 2.5mg at minimum 4-week intervals, up to a maximum of 15mg weekly, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.1
Mounjaro is injected under the skin once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Each KwikPen contains four weekly doses. Keep unused pens in the fridge at 2–8°C and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. Do not use a pen that has been above 30°C or has been frozen.113
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. These are trial averages, and individual results vary.2
Weight loss is gradual by design. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether to continue, adjust or stop. Our team provides ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, plus side-effect support Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
10 · Unlicensed shortcuts
Home-made drinks, pink salt and other shortcuts
Home-made "Mounjaro" drinks, the pink salt trick and four-ingredient natural recipes are not Mounjaro and are not an established substitute for it. Mounjaro works because tirzepatide activates two gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1, which help regulate appetite and slow stomach emptying.1 A drink or a salt cannot do that.
Supplements sold as "nature's Ozempic", including berberine, are low-cost supplements with no clinical oversight. Dosing is not standardised, and the dramatic weight-loss claims made for them are not backed by the trials behind licensed treatment.
11 · Alternatives to consider
Mounjaro alternatives if the process does not suit you
If Mounjaro is not right for you, a prescriber can discuss other licensed options. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a once-weekly injection with pens of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg. Doses step up after at least 4 weeks, reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 17.18
Liraglutide (Saxenda, and products such as Erly) is supplied at 6mg per millilitre and is a daily injection, unlike once-weekly Mounjaro and Wegovy. For other medicines, figures vary, so your prescriber can advise. Our weight loss treatments page lists what we offer.

How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
