Our new Mounjaro price list, dose by dose

Every one of the six Mounjaro doses has its own standard monthly price, and we show them live so the figures never go stale. Your first 2.5mg starter pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). That works out at £42.50 per week at the standard price. The Mounjaro pen is dispensed as a four-dose KwikPen, so one pen covers four weekly injections.

At standard prices the 5mg pen is £189.99 (£47.50 per week), 7.5mg is £244.99 (£61.25 per week), and 10mg is £274.99 (£68.75 per week). The 12.5mg pen is £289.99 (£72.50 per week) and the 15mg pen is £299.99 (£75.00 per week).

The discount structure is simple. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. Switching at 15mg? Your first order is £259.99. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). 02 · What you pay for

What the price includes

The price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. The consultation is free, and your order is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber rather than a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Delivery is free, next-day and tracked, sent by DPD in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Same-day dispatch applies when you order by 3pm. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order, and ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments are handled by our prescribing team. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and there is no auto-shipping and no subscription.

Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly plans, which spread the cost without locking you into anything. Our supply comes through official LillyDirect channels, meaning genuine KwikPens direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

04 · What changed in September 2025

What changed in the Mounjaro price list in September 2025

The new Mounjaro price list exists because Eli Lilly raised the UK list price.

It also explains why you will see different prices on different websites. List price is what pharmacies are charged before any confidential discounts. Pharmacy sell prices vary because of those confidential discounts, so two regulated pharmacies can price the same pen differently.

One practical point follows from all this. A price you saw last year, or in an old screenshot, is not a reliable guide. If a page quotes figures without a check date, treat it with caution.

The increase did not change the medicine itself. Mounjaro is still tirzepatide, still a once-weekly injection in a KwikPen, and still supplied only on prescription after a consultation. What changed was the cost of supply, and with it the importance of planning a full course of treatment rather than assuming the first month's price will hold across every dose you may move through.

05 · Planning a year of cost

What a year of Mounjaro costs on the new price list

A first year costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, at standard prices before any discount. Those totals cover 52 weeks, which is 13 pens. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less than the standard price, so your real spend will be lower than the headline totals.

Most people do not start at their final dose, so it helps to think in phases. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices. After that, you stay on whichever dose you and your prescriber agree suits you.

For other maintenance doses, use the monthly figure rather than a year estimate. A 7.5mg pen is £244.99 per month, 10mg is £274.99, and 12.5mg is £289.99, all at standard prices. Subtract £25 from each on repeat orders.

Two things matter more than the headline number. First, the dose you settle at is a decision for you and your prescriber. Your prescriber reviews your response and side effects and guides the right pace. Second, higher is not automatically better. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages, and individual results vary.²

As a worked example only, for someone starting at 100 kg, 15% is about 15 kg and 20.9% is about 21 kg. Your own result will depend on you, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.²

06 · NHS versus private

NHS versus private: where the price list fits

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.⁴⁶ Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.⁵

That is the honest picture. If you qualify under the NHS pathway and can access it, that route may suit you. If you do not meet the current NHS groups, or you do not want to wait, a private prescription from a regulated pharmacy is the alternative, and the new price list is what you would pay.

A common confusion is the NHS prescription charge. In England it is £9.90 per item for those who pay, and it applies to NHS prescriptions only. It has no bearing on private prices, which are set by each pharmacy. Questions such as who is exempt, or how charges differ across the UK nations, are best answered by the NHS itself, so check the current NHS guidance or ask your pharmacist.

If you are weighing the two routes, ask yourself these questions:

• Do I meet the current NHS criteria in my area, and how long is the wait?
• Do I meet the licensed criteria for a private prescription?
• Can I budget for a full course, including the higher doses?
• Do I want regular clinical reviews alongside the medicine?

The two routes are not mutually exclusive over time. Some people start privately and move to NHS care when they become eligible, and your prescriber or GP can talk you through that. Tell your GP about any treatment you take, and use whichever route fits your circumstances.

As for Wegovy, NHS access runs through specialist weight-management services, so ask your GP. Whatever you choose, treatment is meant to sit alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, whether it is funded by the NHS or paid for privately.

07 · Who can get it and how it works

Who can get Mounjaro and how it works

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.¹

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen, the KwikPen, in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.¹

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. This dual action distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).¹

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.¹³

On the evidence, SURMOUNT-1 reported that at 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight. Those are trial averages, and individual results vary.²

08 · Fakes and cheap shortcuts

Fake pens and cost-cutting shortcuts to avoid

The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷ A price that looks far below the rest of the market is a reason to check, not a reason to buy.

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation, so a seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a warning sign.¹² Our registration number is 9012878.

Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.¹ A genuine pen arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, or has been above 30°C or out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.¹³

Unopened pens belong in the fridge until first use, and they keep until the printed expiry date. For any question about unopened pens out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and ask the pharmacy.¹³

Each KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.¹

10 · Storage, supply and what to expect

Storage, supply and what to expect when your pen arrives

Your pen arrives cold-chain packaged, and you should store it in the fridge until first use. Unopened pens keep until the printed expiry date. Once you start a pen, UK KwikPens are licensed for up to 30 days (not above 30°C) out of the fridge in use.¹³ Since a pen holds four weekly doses, that covers the month comfortably.

When you open your delivery, check the batch number and expiry date on the pen and carton. The solution should be clear and colourless. If anything looks wrong, such as cloudiness, discolouration or particles, do not use it, and contact the pharmacy before injecting.¹³ Follow the pen's instructions for injecting, and use the sharps bin we include to dispose of used pens and needles safely.

11 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.¹
