Mounjaro price list by dose

Mounjaro comes in six strengths, and each pen holds four weekly doses, so one pen is one four-week month of treatment. The six pens are 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.¹ Our standard prices per pen are £169.99 (2.5mg), £189.99 (5mg), £244.99 (7.5mg), £274.99 (10mg), £289.99 (12.5mg) and £299.99 (15mg). All six doses are in stock on the Mounjaro pen product page.

Converted to a weekly figure, that is £42.50 a week at 2.5mg, £47.50 at 5mg, £61.25 at 7.5mg, £68.75 at 10mg, £72.50 at 12.5mg and £75.00 at 15mg.

Discounts are simple. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose, including people switching to us from another provider at a higher strength, with code FIRST40. What a year of Mounjaro costs

Most people want to know the total, not just the monthly pen price. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.

A first year therefore costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg. Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg — higher is not automatically better, and your prescriber will guide the right pace.

03 · No surprises

What the price includes

The price shown is the price paid. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included with every order, and delivery is free next-day tracked DPD in temperature-controlled packaging. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

Payment is by Visa or Mastercard, with Klarna and pay-monthly options available. There is no subscription: repeat orders re-check your suitability and nothing ships automatically. Supply comes through official LillyDirect channels, so you receive genuine KwikPens straight from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

How ordering works

Ordering takes three steps. First, complete the free online consultation, a short health questionnaire, via our free consultation. Second, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers; this is a clinical review, not a scoring script. 06 · Titration and dosing

How dose steps shape your costs

Your price per month changes as your dose changes, so understanding the dose ladder helps you budget. Mounjaro is a once-weekly injection supplied in a pre-filled multi-dose KwikPen, in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.¹ Each pen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses, so a pen lasts four weeks.¹³

Treatment starts at the lowest strength and your prescriber steps it up over time. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and each later order is £25 less. The dose you eventually stay on is decided with your prescriber, based on your progress and how you tolerate treatment, not by a fixed schedule on a price list.¹¹

This is why a single "from" price can mislead. The starter pen is the cheapest strength in the range, but most people do not stay on it. If you are planning for a year, the totals are £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, at standard prices before discounts. If you settle at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg, your monthly pen price is £244.99, £274.99 or £289.99 respectively.

Your prescriber reviews your treatment monthly and takes the whole picture into account.

If you move to us partway through treatment, you do not need to start again at the bottom just because you are a new customer; your prescriber reviews your current dose and history. The first-order discount applies at any dose. Repeat orders re-check suitability each time, so your treatment is reviewed rather than simply renewed.

07 · NHS versus private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40 or above with four or more qualifying conditions.⁴⁶ Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

Eligibility on the NHS and eligibility for a private prescription are not the same. The licence for weight management covers adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.¹ A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.

If you are not sure where you stand, the sensible first step is to ask your GP whether you qualify for the NHS pathway in your area. People with type 2 diabetes sometimes ask separately. Mounjaro is licensed for type 2 diabetes as well as weight management, and the NICE type 2 diabetes appraisal is TA924.⁸ Whether your GP or diabetes team prescribes it for you is a clinical decision for them.

Whichever route you choose, treat price as one factor. Safety, clinical oversight and genuine supply matter more than saving a small amount on a single pen.

08 · Spotting fake pens

Counterfeit pens and how to avoid them

Price lists attract bargain-hunters, and fake pens exploit exactly that. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷ A price far below what registered pharmacies charge is a warning sign, not a bargain.

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites.¹² Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. Anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is not operating legitimately. Our own registration number is GPhC 9012878, and you can check it on the register yourself.

When your pen arrives, look at it before injecting. A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, or has been above 30°C or out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use.¹³ If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.

For storage of unopened pens, keep them in the fridge until first use; they keep until the printed expiry date. For anything about an unopened pen being out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and ask the pharmacy.¹³

09 · What you are paying for

What you are paying for: how Mounjaro works

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes.¹ It is not a quick fix or a supplement; it is a regulated medicine used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.¹ This dual action distinguishes it from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy and Ozempic).

The main trial behind the weight-management licence is SURMOUNT-1, which included 2,539 adults. People taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.² As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. These are trial averages and individual results vary; treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.² Trial averages do not predict your own result.

Why does this matter on a price page? Because the dose you end up on influences your monthly cost, and because value is about the whole package: a licensed medicine, a clinical review, genuine supply and ongoing support.

If the price list worries you, there are safe ways to manage cost and unsafe ones, and the difference is important. The safe ways are to use the discounts that apply and to plan the year using the totals for each dose. The unsafe ways are all variations of using the medicine in a way it was not licensed for.

Start with the discounts. A new customer saves £40 on a first order at any dose with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). Klarna and pay-monthly options can spread the cost, and there is no subscription lock-in, so you stay in control of each order.

What about supplements marketed as cheap alternatives, sometimes nicknamed "nature's Ozempic" or the "poor man's Ozempic"? These are low-cost supplements with no clinical oversight, dosing is not standardised, and they are not licensed equivalents to a prescription medicine.

Finally, think about stopping. Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4 to 5 weeks to clear the system; there is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.¹ If you are considering stopping to save money, speak to your prescriber first about a planned approach, including diet and activity support.
