Mounjaro Without ID: What Is Legal in the UK (October 2026)

You cannot legitimately get Mounjaro without a consultation reviewed by a prescriber, because it is a prescription-only medicine. Any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a warning sign, not a shortcut. At EverydayMeds, a GPhC-registered pharmacy (9012878), the consultation is free and reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.

A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Mounjaro is prescription-only, so a prescriber-reviewed consultation is the legitimate route, however a pharmacy runs it.
  • A seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a major red flag for counterfeit or unsafe product.
  • Our consultation is free, and unsuitable orders are refunded automatically in full.
  • Check any pharmacy on the GPhC register before you share health details or pay.
  • If you are unsure what you need, start with the free consultation and ask our team.
In this guide

01 · The core answer

Can you get Mounjaro without ID?

The legitimate answer is no: you cannot get Mounjaro without a proper clinical assessment. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.1

A medicine that affects appetite, digestion and blood sugar should only go to a person a prescriber has actually assessed as suitable. A pharmacy that skips assessment entirely is not offering convenience. It is removing the safety net.

If your worry is privacy, the better question is how a pharmacy handles your information. Our delivery is discreet and tracked.

02 · Your next step

What should you do next?

Start with the free consultation, which carries no charge and no obligation. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Ready to see where you stand? Our Mounjaro pen page has the live prices and the consultation. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99), and every later order is £25 off the standard price. For broader context, see our weight loss clinic overview.

03 · Why a consultation is required

Why a prescriber must review your order

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes.1 Because it is prescription-only, a person with the right training must decide whether it suits you.

That is why the GPhC regulates pharmacies that supply it online. You can look up any pharmacy on the public GPhC register; ours is registered under number 9012878.12 If a seller will not show a register entry, treat that as a reason to walk away.

A consultation also protects you from a poor fit. Your prescriber can consider your health history, your other medicines and your goals before anything is dispensed. Our team then continues with monthly reviews, dose-titration and side-effect support.

04 · Warning signs of unsafe sellers

Warning signs of an unsafe seller

The clearest warning sign is a seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. Counterfeit weight-loss injections have been the subject of MHRA alerts, and the MHRA encourages people to report suspected fake medicines and side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.7

  • No consultation, or a questionnaire that approves everyone automatically.
  • No pharmacy registration number you can check on the GPhC register.
  • Sales through social media messages, auction sites or private chats.
  • Dramatic weight-loss claims or promises of specific results.
  • Unusual payment requests, such as bank transfers to a personal account.
  • Pens with no packaging, no leaflet or unclear labelling.

A fake pen can contain the wrong amount of medicine, or none at all. Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, as genuine KwikPens.

05 · Privacy and your GP

Privacy, your GP and discretion

Our delivery is discreet, tracked and temperature-controlled, and the consultation is free.

If your question is specifically about your GP, our related guides cover it in detail: ordering without contacting your GP and what notifying a GP means. If your question is about photos, see our guide to photo questions.

One practical point: telling your GP is usually sensible, because they hold your full medical history. That is a suggestion, not a barrier to ordering.

06 · NHS or private

NHS or private: what are your options?

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions).4 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

Either route involves clinical assessment. Neither lets you skip the question of whether the medicine suits you. If you are unsure which applies to you, our prescribers can talk it through during the free consultation.

07 · What treatment involves

What treatment involves once approved

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin.1 In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages. Individual results vary, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2

  • Delivery: free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can I get Mounjaro without ID?
Not legitimately. Mounjaro is prescription-only, so a regulated UK pharmacy must have a prescriber review your consultation before supply. Anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a warning sign. Our consultation is free, reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, and declined orders are refunded automatically in full.
Can I order Mounjaro from two different pharmacies?
You should not. Ordering from two sources risks duplicate supply and means no single prescriber has the full picture of your dose. Use one regulated pharmacy and tell your prescriber about any other medicines. If you want to switch provider, say so in your consultation so your dose can be set safely.
What happens if Mounjaro gets warm?
Keep unopened pens in the fridge at 2–8°C until first use; they keep until the printed expiry date. If a pen has been left somewhere warm, check the patient information leaflet and contact the pharmacy before using it. Do not guess: sterility and potency are no longer assured outside the tested window.13
Why can't you use Mounjaro after 30 days?
Once a KwikPen is in use, it can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use. After that it must be thrown away, and a pen that has been above 30°C or frozen must not be used. Follow the leaflet and your pharmacy's guidance.1
Can I take my Mounjaro pen on a plane?
Generally you should carry medicines in your hand luggage, in their original packaging with the pharmacy label, so they stay with you and within reach. Check your airline's and destination's rules before travelling. For temperature and storage questions, follow the patient information leaflet or ask our team before you travel.13
Do I need to declare Mounjaro on travel insurance?
Check with your insurer. Insurers generally ask about medical conditions and ongoing treatment, so tell them what you are taking and why. Keep your prescription details to hand and ask the insurer directly before you book.
How much does Mounjaro cost at Asda?
Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens cost from £143.96 to £339.00 per month depending on dose and provider, checked 11 October 2026. Our own live prices are on the Mounjaro pen page.
What should I avoid while taking Mounjaro?
No food is banned on Mounjaro, but many people feel worse after very fatty, fried or very sugary food, and large portions sit heavily because the stomach empties more slowly, so smaller, slower meals work better. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Tell your prescriber about every other medicine you take, and report any new symptoms through the Yellow Card scheme.19 Severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis), pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of the skin or eyes (possible gallbladder problems), or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing need immediate medical help.
