How much does one Mounjaro quick pen cost?

One Mounjaro quick pen costs between £169.99 and £299.99 at EverydayMeds, depending on strength. Each pen is a 4-week supply, so these are monthly figures. You can see every strength and add it to your basket on the Mounjaro pen product page, where the live price table sits.

The standard price of each pen is: 2.5mg £169.99, 5mg £189.99, 7.5mg £244.99, 10mg £274.99, 12.5mg £289.99 and 15mg £299.99. These are what a repeat order costs before the reorder discount. Prices were checked 25 October 2026.

02 · Strength by strength

What each strength costs per week

Dividing a pen by its four doses gives the weekly cost: £42.50 at 2.5mg, £47.50 at 5mg, £61.25 at 7.5mg, £68.75 at 10mg, £72.50 at 12.5mg and £75.00 at 15mg. These are standard prices before any discount.

Everyone starts on 2.5mg once a week. After at least 4 weeks the dose rises to 5mg, then can step up by 2.5mg at intervals of at least 4 weeks to a maximum of 15mg, depending on response and tolerability.¹ Many people settle at 5mg, 10mg or 15mg, and higher is not automatically better.¹ Your prescriber guides the pace, so your cost depends on the dose you end up on, not on a fixed ladder.

The price shown is the price paid. The consultation is free, and there are no hidden fees on top of the pen price.

04 · Planning ahead

What a year of quick pens costs

A first year (52 weeks, 13 pens) costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, at standard prices. The first four pens (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg), cost £879.96 at standard prices.

These totals are before discounts. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 off the standard price. If you settle at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg, your monthly pen costs £244.99, £274.99 or £289.99 respectively. Use the monthly figure for those doses rather than a year total.

It is worth budgeting for the dose you are most likely to need, not just the starter pen. 05 · Doses and clicks

How many doses and clicks are in a Mounjaro pen?

Each Mounjaro KwikPen contains four weekly doses, at every strength.¹ A 2.5mg pen is four 2.5mg injections, and a 15mg pen is four 15mg injections.

You do not count clicks. The pen is set by turning the dose knob until the dose indicator shows the correct dose in the window, and you confirm the dose by the number in the window.¹³

06 · Did the price drop?

Did Mounjaro drop its price?

The list price of Mounjaro rose in the UK rather than fell.

Pharmacy sell prices vary because of confidential discounts, so what you pay depends on the provider. We show our prices live and date them (25 October 2026), so you are always looking at the current figure rather than a remembered one.

If you see a very low price that seems too good to be true, treat it with caution. A price far below what regulated pharmacies charge is one of the warning signs of a fake pen. A genuine saving usually comes through a visible new-customer or reorder discount, not an unexplained bargain.

07 · NHS or private

NHS or private: which route suits you?

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.⁴⁶ Full rollout is expected to take years.

That is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than wait. If you are eligible on the NHS, an NHS prescription is the route to consider first. The England prescription charge is £9.90 per item where it applies, though check how your own prescription would be charged. If you do not yet qualify, or do not want to wait, a private prescription is the alternative.

Privately, Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.¹ It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.

08 · What results to expect

What you are paying for: results and pace

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.² These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20%.²

Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest, with most measurable progress building from 5mg onward.¹ Think in months, not days. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.

09 · Fake pens and storage

Buying a genuine pen, and keeping it right

Only buy Mounjaro from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷ Never buy from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites, or from anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. Our registration is GPhC 9012878, and you can check it on the GPhC register.¹²

A genuine UK pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been in use out of the fridge for more than 30 days.¹³ If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, contact the pharmacy before injecting.

Keep pens in a fridge at 2–8°C and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, after which it should be discarded. Keep the cap on to protect it from light.¹ Unopened pens stay in the fridge and keep until the expiry date printed on the box. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and the pharmacy before using it.¹³
