01 · The short answer
Can you pay weekly for Mounjaro?
No: at EverydayMeds you pay per pen, not per weekly dose. Mounjaro is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine, and it comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen), so a pen is what a pharmacy dispenses and prices.1 A pen is replaced every four weeks, so the natural billing unit is the pen.
That does not leave you without flexibility. We accept Visa and Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions. Repeat orders re-check your suitability and nothing ships automatically, so you stay in control of each payment.
If you are comparing providers, our broader guide to paying weekly for weight loss injections covers how other treatments are billed.
02 · Work out the weekly cost
What does Mounjaro cost each week?
The weekly equivalent is the pen price divided across the weeks the pen covers, and it is useful for budgeting even though you never pay it weekly. At standard prices the 2.5mg starter works out at £42.50 per week, 5mg at £54.75, 7.5mg at £70.00, 10mg at £72.75, 12.5mg at £80.00 and 15mg at £82.50.
These are standard prices. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). The ongoing monthly cost at any dose is therefore that dose's standard price less the reorder discount. You can see live pricing and order on the Mounjaro pen page.
03 · Compare ways to pay
Ways to spread the cost of Mounjaro
| Option | How it works | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Card (Visa/Mastercard) | Pay for each pen when you order | If the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full |
| Klarna | Split the pen cost through Klarna, subject to their own approval | Klarna's terms and eligibility apply; see our Klarna guide |
| Pay-monthly options | Monthly payments with no subscription lock-in | Each repeat order re-checks suitability; see pay monthly Mounjaro |
| Weekly billing per dose | Not how pens are dispensed | Be wary of any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription |
If you are asking about other buy-now-pay-later services, we explain the position on Clearpay separately.
04 · Why pens, not weekly doses
Why Mounjaro is sold as a pen, not weekly doses
Mounjaro is sold as a pen because it is a multi-dose device designed to deliver a series of weekly injections. Tirzepatide is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine, and the UK pen comes in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1
Once you start using a pen, it can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. Do not use a pen that has been above 30°C or has been frozen.13 Splitting a pen into weekly portions is unlicensed and unsafe, and no regulated pharmacy can do it. That is why you will not find a legitimate weekly price for individual doses.
The practical consequence is simple: your cost is a pen price, and any weekly figure is only arithmetic for your own budgeting. Our guide to what you pay for Mounjaro sets out how the pen prices build up over a treatment course.
05 · Planning your budget
Planning your Mounjaro budget over time
The most useful budget is built around the dose ladder rather than a weekly figure. Treatment starts at 2.5mg and steps up through 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg towards 12.5mg and 15mg, with your prescriber deciding each step.1 Not everyone needs the top dose.
If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.
A first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, at standard prices before discounts. If you settle at another dose, work from that dose's monthly price: £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg or £319.99 at 12.5mg.
One practical tip: because doses are stepped up by your prescriber, you cannot reliably buy several months of one strength in advance. A request for a multi-month supply is a conversation for your prescriber, and each order is reviewed on its own merits.
06 · Comparing pharmacy prices
How do Mounjaro prices compare across pharmacies?
Prices differ between providers, so compare like for like. Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest Mounjaro pen at any dose is £143.96 and the dearest is £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026). For the 2.5mg starting pen alone, the range is £143.96 to £179.99.
For the same dose, the gap between providers runs from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro prices span £179.00 to £339.00 depending on dose.
When you compare, check what each price includes. Ours is free to consult, the price shown is the price paid, and delivery is free next-day tracked in temperature-controlled packaging. Ongoing monthly reviews, side-effect support and needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Official LillyDirect supply means genuine KwikPens sourced from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.
07 · Avoiding risky offers
Spotting risky weekly-payment offers
Be cautious of anyone selling Mounjaro in weekly portions or at a price that looks too low to be true. Mounjaro is prescription-only, and a legitimate supplier must be a registered pharmacy that supplies after a consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.
Warning signs include sellers offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, unusual packaging, no pharmacy registration and pressure to pay by bank transfer. You can check any pharmacy on the GPhC register; ours is GPhC 9012878.12
The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts, and you can report a suspected fake or a side effect through the Yellow Card scheme.719 A cheap price is never worth an unverified pen.
08 · Value and realistic results
What you are paying for: realistic results
Judging value means understanding the pace of results, because losses are gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest; most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Think in months, not days, and judge progress by trend, not individual weigh-ins.
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages, individual results vary, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.
Three months in, most people are still on the lower rungs of the dose ladder, so a sensible expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation. Slower early progress does not predict failure. Our guide to weekly weight loss on Mounjaro goes into the detail.
09 · Plateaus and extra spending
Plateaus, dose stretching and what to avoid
If progress stalls, spending more or changing the schedule yourself is not the answer. Weight loss on Mounjaro is not linear, and plateaus of a few weeks are normal as the body adapts to a lower weight.
Within the licence, the responses are to review food intake honestly, protect protein and activity, check the basics such as sleep and alcohol, and discuss with your prescriber whether a dose step-up is appropriate if you are not yet at maximum. A plateau is not a reason to double doses or add unlicensed products.
If cost is the pressure, talk to the prescribing team rather than changing your doses yourself.
10 · NHS and private routes
NHS or private: how access differs
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46
Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. NHS prescriptions in England carry the standard prescription charge of £9.90 where it applies, whereas private treatment is paid per pen.
To explore a private route, our weight loss clinic explains how treatment is supervised, with ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and follow-up by the prescribing team.

How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
