A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Klarna is one of the payment options we offer for Mounjaro, alongside Visa/Mastercard and pay-monthly options. There are no subscriptions.
  • Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • Klarna decides its own approval and terms. We don't set them, so read them at checkout before you confirm.
  • Your first 2.5mg pen is £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99); every later order is £25 off the standard price.
  • Klarna changes how you pay, not what you pay: the total cost of treatment depends on your dose and how long you stay on it.
In this guide

01

Can you use Klarna to pay for Mounjaro?

Yes. Klarna is one of the payment methods we list for Mounjaro, next to Visa/Mastercard and pay-monthly options. We run no subscriptions, so you are never locked into a plan. You choose a payment method at checkout, but because Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, the order of events matters more than the payment method.

You complete a free online consultation first. A GPhC-registered prescriber then reviews it. If they decide Mounjaro is not suitable for you, the order is refunded automatically in full.

If you have seen other pages saying you can simply 'buy Mounjaro on Klarna', treat that wording with care. Any pharmacy that offers Klarna must still assess you first. A seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is not operating legally.

02

What Klarna lets you spread: the cost of each pen

Klarna spreads a payment, so it helps to know the figure being spread. Each Mounjaro pen lasts four weeks. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 as a first-order price with code FIRST40; the standard price is £169.99. A new customer's discount applies to the first order at any dose, so someone switching to us at 15mg pays £289.99 for that first order.

After the first order, every future order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). The standard monthly prices are £169.99 at 2.5mg, £218.99 at 5mg, £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg. All six doses are in stock.

The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. Delivery is free next-day tracked DPD in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.

03

What to check before choosing Klarna

Klarna is a separate company with its own approval process and terms. We don't control whether Klarna approves you, what it asks of you, or what happens if a payment is missed. Read those terms at checkout. Treat the payment as a commitment you need to be able to meet.

Mounjaro treatment runs over many months, not a single purchase. Before you start, work out what you will pay at the dose you are likely to settle on, not just the starter pen. If you want to compare other ways to spread the cost, see our guide to paying for Mounjaro in instalments.

Ordering takes three steps. First, complete the free online consultation, which has no charge and no obligation. Second, you pay at checkout with your chosen method, including Klarna, when you place the order. Third, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your consultation; if approved, your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy and ships in discreet, cold-chain packaging, and if not, the order is refunded automatically in full.

04 · How checkout works

How Klarna checkout works for a prescription medicine

Klarna checkout for a prescription medicine follows the clinical process, not the other way round. With a trainer or a gadget you pick a payment method and the order goes through. With Mounjaro, your health information is assessed before the order is confirmed. That is why the first step is always our free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation.

Once you submit it, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. This is a real clinical review, not a scoring script. The prescriber looks at your history, your current medicines and whether Mounjaro suits you.

You pick how to pay when you place the order. Klarna sits alongside Visa/Mastercard and pay-monthly options. What Klarna offers you, including how any instalments are structured, is decided by Klarna at the point you pay. We recommend reading the terms it shows you before accepting, and checking that the repayments fit your monthly budget for the whole course, not just the first pen.

After payment, your order is dispensed by our registered pharmacy. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Delivery is free, next-day and tracked with DPD, and the pen travels in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order, and the pen itself ships with its patient information leaflet.13

What you receive is a KwikPen, a pre-filled multi-dose pen, in one of six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg or 15mg.1 We supply genuine pens through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and all six doses are in stock.

Repeat orders re-check suitability, and we never auto-ship. That means a Klarna payment never triggers a pen you have not asked for. Each reorder is a fresh, deliberate decision, supported by ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and follow-up assessments from the prescribing team.

One practical point: keep your order confirmation and the prescriber's messages together. If your dose changes after a review, the next order will be priced at the new dose, so your Klarna payment may change with it.

05 · Monthly and yearly cost

What Mounjaro costs month by month and over a year

Mounjaro is priced per four-week pen, and the price rises with the dose. Klarna may change when you pay, but the total remains the sum of the pens you use.

Treatment begins at the lowest strength and steps up. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.

Not everyone ends up at the top dose. Your prescriber decides where you settle, based on your response and any side effects. Over a first year of 13 pens, the cost is £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. Those are standard prices before discounts. If you settle at another strength, work from that dose's monthly price: £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg or £319.99 at 12.5mg.

A small table helps frame the planning:

StagePensCost at standard prices
First year, staying on 5mg after the 2.5mg starting pen13£2,711.88
First year, stepping up through every dose to 15mg13£3,599.88

Why does this matter for Klarna? Because the starter pen is the cheapest pen you will buy. If you plan your repayments around £129.99, which is only a first-order price for the 2.5mg pen, you may be surprised when the dose rises. Plan around the dose you are likely to need, and remember each later order is £25 off the standard price.

The same logic applies if you are switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. The first-order discount applies at any dose, so a 15mg first order is £289.99. After that, the monthly cost is the 15mg standard price less the reorder discount.

If you want to see how our figures sit against others, read how much you pay for Mounjaro.

06 · Klarna versus other options

Klarna, cards and pay-monthly: how they differ

We offer three ways to pay, and the right one depends on your budget, not on the medicine. Visa/Mastercard is the simplest: you pay the order total when you check out. Klarna and pay-monthly options exist for people who prefer to spread the cost. None of them involve a subscription, so you are not tied to a pen you have not requested.

OptionWhat it means for youWho sets the terms
Visa/MastercardPay the order total at checkoutYour card provider
KlarnaChoose it at checkout to spread the paymentKlarna, including approval
Pay-monthly optionsSpread the cost without a subscriptionShown at checkout

What Klarna shows you at checkout is the figure to rely on for its terms.

Think about three things when choosing. First, whether you will be able to meet repayments if your dose rises. Second, whether you would still be repaying a pen after you have stopped treatment. Third, whether you are comfortable with the consequences if you miss a payment, which depend on Klarna's terms. If any of these worry you, a card payment for one pen at a time keeps the commitment smaller.

Our model also helps here. There is no subscription and no auto-shipping, so you decide each month whether to reorder. Combined with a free consultation and an automatic full refund if a prescriber decides treatment is not suitable, you can start with one pen and judge how it goes before committing further.

Remember that the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees, and that checking the live price table before you start is the best way to avoid surprises.

If you are unsure which route suits you, our support team can talk it through Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Phone 0333 207 0413 or email support@everydaymeds.co.uk, or use the chat in your account portal.

07 · Who can be prescribed

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro, whatever you pay with

Eligibility is decided clinically, and a payment method cannot change it. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Those conditions include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1

It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It is not a substitute for them. A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.1 That assessment is the reason our consultation exists, and it is why a prescriber reviews every order.

This has a practical consequence for Klarna. If a prescriber decides Mounjaro is not right for you, the order is refunded automatically in full, and the process ends there.

You can prepare by having these details ready:

  • Your current height and weight, so your BMI can be assessed.
  • Any weight-related conditions, such as high blood pressure or prediabetes.
  • A list of the medicines you currently take, including insulin or other diabetes treatments.
  • Your medical history, including any previous weight-loss treatment.

The consultation is free, takes only a few minutes and carries no obligation.

Once you are on treatment, the prescribing team continues to review you monthly. Dose changes, side-effect support and follow-up assessments are included. That matters for budgeting because your dose, and therefore your monthly price, can change as your prescriber adjusts it.

If you are not sure whether you qualify, don't try to guess from a BMI calculator alone. The prescriber considers your whole picture, and that is a better guide than any single number.

08 · NHS versus private

NHS or private: where Klarna fits

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition.4 The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.6 Full rollout is expected to take years.5

That is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. If you qualify for NHS treatment sooner rather than later, the NHS route is worth asking your GP about. Klarna is irrelevant on the NHS, because prescriptions in England carry a flat charge of £9.90 per item where a charge applies, and the medicine itself is not priced in the way private pens are.

For people who go private, the comparison is not simply cost. Consider what each route offers:

FactorNHS routeRegulated private route
Who qualifiesPhased, highest-need groups firstLicensed criteria, assessed by a prescriber
WaitingDepends on your area and groupConsultation reviewed by a prescriber
PaymentNHS prescription arrangementsCard, Klarna or pay-monthly options

If you meet the NHS criteria and can wait, it may suit you. If you meet the licensed criteria but not the current NHS group, or you prefer not to wait, regulated private treatment is a legitimate alternative, and that is where Klarna becomes relevant.

Whichever route you take, the same safety principles apply. A prescriber should assess you, the medicine should come from a registered pharmacy, and you should have clinical follow-up. Paying by instalment does not change any of these requirements.

You can move between routes. Some people start privately and later become eligible for NHS treatment as the rollout widens. If that happens, speak to your GP and the prescribing team about how to transition safely rather than stopping on your own.

09 · Market prices and list price

Why Mounjaro prices differ between pharmacies

Prices differ because the medicine's list price changed and pharmacies set their own sell prices. Eli Lilly announced an increase to the UK list price of Mounjaro, effective from 1 September 2025.10 Pharmacy sell prices vary because of confidential discounts, so two pharmacies can charge different amounts for the same pen.

Our own index of the UK pharmacies we track, checked 12 October 2026, shows how wide the spread is. Across those pharmacies, a Mounjaro pen costs from £143.96 to £339.00 depending on the dose and provider. For the 2.5mg starting pen alone, prices run from £143.96 to £179.99. For the same dose, the gap between providers ranges from £27 to £41.

Boots is one well-known comparison point. Its Mounjaro prices run from £179.00 at its lowest dose to £339.00 at its highest, across the doses tracked.

Why does this matter when you are deciding on Klarna? Because a payment plan on a more expensive pen is still a more expensive pen. Spreading a higher price over more payments does not make it cheaper in total. Compare the price of the dose you need first, then decide how to pay.

Here is a sensible order for comparing:

  • Check that the seller is a registered pharmacy and that a prescriber reviews you.
  • Compare the price at the dose you are likely to need, not just the starter pen.
  • Check what is included: consultation, delivery and aftercare.
  • Then choose the payment method that suits your budget.

Our own prices are shown live. The standard price is £169.99 at 2.5mg, and a new customer's first 2.5mg pen is £129.99 with code FIRST40.

Price figures can change, so always rely on the date shown, which was 12 October 2026 for our own prices.

10 · What you are committing to

What you are committing to when you pay for treatment

A Klarna payment is a financial commitment on top of a medical one, so understand both. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes, and it comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen.1

Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve how the body responds to insulin. Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1

What can you expect? In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. These are trial averages, individual results vary, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20%.2 Trial averages do not predict your own result, so don't build a repayment plan around a specific outcome.

There is also a stopping point to consider. Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1 If you stop treatment, make sure you are not left repaying pens you no longer use. That is one reason to check Klarna's terms carefully and to avoid stacking up more pens than you need.

Follow the pen's instructions and the patient information leaflet for how to inject and store it.13 Our prescribing team supports you with monthly reviews, dose titration and side-effect support, and our free companion app, GLPTrackr, helps you track your journey on iOS and Android.

This is information, not a substitute for medical advice. Your prescriber is the right person to discuss how long treatment is likely to last for you.

11 · Buying safely

How to buy Mounjaro safely, however you pay

Safety checks matter more than payment methods, because counterfeit and unregulated Mounjaro is a real risk. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme for reporting suspected problems.7 Treat any offer that sounds too easy with suspicion.

Start with the register. Every UK pharmacy that supplies prescription medicines must be on the GPhC register, and you can look it up yourself.12 We are GPhC-registered under number 9012878, and the register entry is public. Checking takes under a minute and is the single best way to avoid a rogue seller.

Then look at how the seller behaves. Warning signs include:

  • Offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.
  • Selling through social media posts or messaging apps rather than a registered pharmacy.
  • Dramatic weight-loss claims or promises of specific results.
  • Pressure to pay quickly or by methods that cannot be traced.
  • Pens with no pharmacy label, or packaging that looks altered.

Our supply is official LillyDirect supply, sourced directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and we supply genuine KwikPens. Your order is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, dispensed by our registered pharmacy and delivered in temperature-controlled packaging. That chain is what you are paying for, regardless of whether you use Klarna, a card or a pay-monthly option.

Klarna can be a convenient way to pay, but it is not a safety check. A Klarna logo on a website does not tell you the seller is a registered pharmacy. Always verify the seller first, then choose your payment method.

If you experience a side effect, speak to your prescriber, and you can also report it through the MHRA's Yellow Card scheme.19 Reporting helps the regulator monitor medicine safety, including for suspected counterfeits.

If you ever have doubts about an order, contact us on 0333 207 0413 or support@everydaymeds.co.uk, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Dispensed prescription medicines cannot be returned except where the item is faulty, damaged or wrong, in which case contact us within 3 days. Orders declined at prescriber review are refunded automatically in full, and refunds take 5–10 working days.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can you pay for Mounjaro on Klarna?
Yes. Klarna is one of the payment options at EverydayMeds, alongside Visa/Mastercard and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions. Klarna then applies its own approval and terms at checkout, which we don't control, so read them before you confirm.
Can I pay for Mounjaro with Klarna without a prescription?
No. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so a registered pharmacy must have a prescriber review your consultation before supplying it. Using Klarna does not change that. Any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a red flag, and you should avoid it.
Does Klarna make Mounjaro cheaper?
No. Klarna changes when you pay, not how much the pens cost. The total is the sum of the pens you use at their prices. Your first 2.5mg pen is £129.99 as a first-order price with code FIRST40, against a standard £169.99, and every later order is £25 off the standard price. Compare the price of the dose you need before choosing how to pay.
How much will Mounjaro cost me over a year if I use Klarna?
Klarna doesn't alter the yearly total. A first year of 13 pens costs £2,711.88 at standard prices if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, before discounts. A new customer's first order is £40 less and every later order is £25 less. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. Your prescriber decides where your dose settles.
Will Klarna approve me for Mounjaro?
Klarna makes its own decision about whether to offer you its payment option and on what terms, and we don't see or influence that. If Klarna declines, you can still pay by Visa/Mastercard or use our pay-monthly options. Separately, the prescriber decides whether Mounjaro is suitable for you; payment is taken when you place the order, and if the prescriber decides it is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
Do I need to pay before the prescriber reviews my consultation?
Yes. The consultation itself is free, with no obligation, but payment is taken when you place the order, as usual. A GPhC-registered prescriber then reviews your consultation. If Mounjaro isn't suitable for you, the order is refunded automatically in full, so you are not left paying for a medicine you can't have. If approved, your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy.
Can I use Klarna for repeat Mounjaro orders?
Klarna is listed among our payment methods, and the same options are there when you reorder. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and we never auto-ship, so each pen is a deliberate order. Every later order is £25 off the standard price with code DOSE25. If your prescriber changes your dose, the next order is priced at the new dose, so your payment may change too.
Is Mounjaro available on the NHS instead?
Yes, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions. Full rollout will take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment. Ask your GP about NHS eligibility.
What happens to my Klarna payments if I stop Mounjaro?
That depends on Klarna's terms, which we don't set, so read them before you accept. Tirzepatide takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system after a final dose, and nothing needs doing while it clears. Speak to your prescriber before stopping treatment.
How do I check a Klarna-accepting seller is a real pharmacy?
Look the seller up on the GPhC public register, which lists every registered UK pharmacy. We are registered under number 9012878. A genuine pharmacy will have a prescriber review your consultation before supplying Mounjaro. Be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, or making dramatic weight-loss claims. Accepting Klarna says nothing about whether a seller is legitimate, so always verify the pharmacy first.
