01 · The discount

What the Mounjaro first order discount gives you

A new customer gets £40 off their first order, at any dose, by entering code FIRST40 at checkout. The discount is not limited to the starter pen. If you are moving to us from another provider and already take a higher strength, the same code applies to that first order too.

The standard price of one pen (four weeks of treatment) is the price for that dose, for example £169.99 for the 2.5mg pen. Your first order is £40 less than that. Every order after your first is £25 less than the standard price, applied automatically (code DOSE25).

Two figures are worth keeping straight. £129.99 is the first-order price of the 2.5mg starter pen, with the code already included. £259.99 is the first-order price of the 15mg pen, relevant if you are switching to us at the top strength. Neither is a monthly or usual price, so do not add the new-customer saving on top of them: it is already counted.

02 · Cost planning

What you pay across the first year

Your first year depends mostly on the dose you settle at, because the dose ladder moves up in steps. If you step up after 4 weeks on each of 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices, before any discount. Your first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.

A first year costs £2,399.88 at standard prices if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen (13 pens), up to £3,279.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. In practice you pay less: one first-order discount and then the reorder discount on every later pen. If you settle at another strength, use that dose's monthly price: £244.99 for 7.5mg, £274.99 for 10mg, or £289.99 for 12.5mg, each before the relevant discount.

03 · Comparing

How to compare a Mounjaro discount fairly

Compare the final price you pay, not the size of the headline saving. A large discount on a high list price can leave you paying more than a smaller discount on a lower one.

When you compare, check four things on every site:

• Does the quoted price apply to the dose you actually need, not only the starter pen?
• Is the consultation free, or is there a separate consultation fee?
• Is delivery included, and is it temperature-controlled?
• Does the pharmacy appear on the GPhC register?

04 · Applying the code

How to apply code FIRST40 at checkout

You enter the code at checkout once your order is ready, and the first-order discount comes off the price of that first pen. The steps are short.

• Start your free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation.
• Choose your dose. If you are new to Mounjaro, a prescriber will normally start you at the 2.5mg starter strength. If you are switching from another provider, tell the prescriber your current dose.
• Enter FIRST40 at checkout and check that the discount appears before you pay.

Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. That means you are not out of pocket if the prescriber decides Mounjaro is not right for you.

05 · Is the code genuine?

Fake codes, fake pens and how to stay safe

Be wary of any site promising an unusually deep saving, and treat a very low price on a prescription medicine as a warning sign. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷

The safe route is straightforward. Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.¹² Anyone offering to supply Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription is not a regulated route, whatever discount they advertise.

06 · Checking your pen

What a genuine pen looks like when it arrives

A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.

Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.¹³

07 · Who can order

Who can use Mounjaro for weight management

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.¹

A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you. A discount code does not change that: eligibility is a clinical decision made in your consultation, and the code only affects what you pay if you are approved.

Mounjaro is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly, supplied as a pre-filled multi-dose KwikPen in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg. Each pen is designed to deliver four weekly doses.¹

08 · NHS or private

NHS access versus private treatment

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions).⁴⁶

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. If you are already receiving Mounjaro through the NHS, you do not need a private discount.

Private treatment is a personal choice about timing and cost. The first-order discount and the reorder discount are designed to make a regulated, prescriber-led route more affordable, not to replace NHS care where you qualify for it.

09 · What to expect

What the trial evidence says about results

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.² These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Trial averages do not predict your own result.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.²

This matters when you read discount pages. Treatment is only right for you if a prescriber recommends it, and your prescriber decides the dose. The right pen is the dose your clinical team has planned.
