A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Orders, delivery and repeats go to the pharmacy that dispensed your pen; clinical questions go to your prescriber.
  • Eli Lilly makes Mounjaro (tirzepatide), but it is not the route for personal prescription or dosing queries.
  • EverydayMeds support runs on weekdays by email, account portal chat and phone, with prescriber-led monthly reviews.
  • Report suspected side effects to your prescriber and through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
  • Be wary of anyone offering Mounjaro or 'customer service' without a consultation or prescription.

01 · Quick answer

Who to contact for what

The right contact depends on what has gone wrong, and for most people it is the pharmacy that dispensed the pen. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so the party that prescribed and supplied it holds your records and can act on them.

Your questionBest contactWhy
Where is my order? Delivery problemThe pharmacy that dispatched itIt holds the tracking details and the courier relationship

If you are still deciding where to get treatment, our weight loss clinic explains how the service works, and the Mounjaro pen page shows live pricing; the starting 2.5mg pen has a standard price of £169.99 per month and all six doses are in stock.

02 · Our support

Contacting EverydayMeds

Our support team is available on weekdays during office hours by email, account portal chat and phone. Email support@everydaymeds.co.uk, use the chat in your account, or find the phone number on our contact page. We are a GPhC-registered pharmacy (registration GPhC 9012878), and you can check that on the public register.

Clinical questions are handled by the prescribing team rather than a call-centre script. Ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments are part of the service, along with side-effect support.

If you have a delivery question, orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, and delivery is free, tracked, next day and in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

03 · Eli Lilly and Mounjaro

How to contact Eli Lilly about Mounjaro

Eli Lilly can be contacted through the details printed in the patient information leaflet in every pen box, which is the safest place to find them.13 Lilly makes Mounjaro, so it is the right place for general product information and questions about the leaflet or the manufacturer's own materials.

It is not the right place for an order, a delivery or a repeat prescription. Those sit with whoever supplied your pen. Lilly cannot see your consultation or decide whether you should have a dose changed. Our page on Eli Lilly customer service covers this split in more detail.

Who manufactures Mounjaro in the UK?

Mounjaro is made by Eli Lilly. It is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine, supplied as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Pharmacies do not make it. They dispense the manufacturer's product, and we receive ours through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

Is tirzepatide the same as Mounjaro?

Yes. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, the active ingredient.1 If a label, leaflet or website says tirzepatide, it is describing the same medicine. Be cautious of any product that uses the generic name but is not supplied through a regulated pharmacy against a prescription, because you cannot verify what is in it.

04 · Repeat prescriptions

Who to contact for repeat prescriptions

Contact the pharmacy or clinic that prescribed your current pen, because it holds your treatment history and can decide your next dose. Your GP is only the right contact if your GP prescribed it on the NHS.

With us, repeat orders re-check suitability each time. There is no auto-shipping, so nothing is sent until you have confirmed and been reviewed. That protects you if your weight, health or medicines have changed since the last order. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40, and every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25).

Plan repeats ahead rather than leaving them to the day your pen runs out. The pen is a once-weekly device, so a gap in supply can mean a missed dose, and your prescriber can advise on what to do if that happens. Payment can be by Visa or Mastercard, Klarna or pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions to cancel.

If you want a more direct route to support, our page on the Mounjaro customer service number explains when a phone call is better than email or chat.

05 · Side effects and safety

Serious side effects and pancreatitis

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.113

Read the section on warnings and side effects in the leaflet before your first dose and again if you change strength. If anything new or lasting appears, tell your prescriber. If you have severe stomach pain, chest pain, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing, get medical help straight away rather than waiting for a callback.

Reporting a suspected side effect

You can report a suspected side effect to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme, whether or not your prescriber has already been told.19 Reports help regulators monitor safety. Tell your prescriber as well, so your treatment can be adjusted.

What about a black box warning?

A 'boxed warning' is a term from the US labelling system. UK product information is set out in the SmPC and leaflet, which you can read in full.1 If you have seen a warning quoted online and are unsure how it applies to you, ask your prescriber to explain it against your medical history.

Sugar, food and lifestyle questions

Questions such as what happens if you eat sugar are best put to your prescriber or dietitian. Mounjaro is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and individual results vary.1 Our monthly reviews are a good time to raise how food and side effects are interacting for you.

06 · Avoiding fake support

Spotting fake Mounjaro customer service

Genuine support never asks you to bypass a prescription. Anyone offering to supply Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription is not operating legally, and the MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme.7

Some of them exist to capture payment details or to sell products of unknown origin. Practical checks that do not require any specialist knowledge:

  • Check that a pharmacy appears on the GPhC register; ours is registration GPhC 9012878.
  • Be suspicious of anyone who contacts you first, or who asks for payment by an unusual method.
  • Treat dramatic weight-loss claims as a warning sign, not a selling point.
  • Do not use a pen that arrives without the usual packaging, leaflet and labelling; contact the supplier instead.

Our pens are genuine KwikPens supplied through LillyDirect, and every order includes needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance.

07 · Delivery and storage queries

If your delivery is late or damaged

Contact the supplying pharmacy as soon as you notice a problem, because dispensed medicines can only be returned if they are faulty, damaged or the wrong item, and you need to tell the pharmacy promptly. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Our deliveries use free next-day tracked service with discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Check the tracking link first, since it often explains a delay. If you will not be home, arrange a safe place or another delivery day, because the pen should be put in the fridge promptly.

Storing the pen

Store the pen in the fridge at 2–8°C until first use; unopened pens keep until the printed expiry date.13 Once in use, a KwikPen can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. Do not use a pen that has been above 30°C or has been frozen.1 If a pen has been left somewhere unusual and you are unsure whether it is safe, check the leaflet and ask the pharmacy before injecting.

If you are curious about food-based support alongside treatment, our overview of a GLP-1 food delivery service explains how that category works and how it differs from pharmacy support.

If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

08 · NHS and private routes

NHS or private: who owns your care

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions).46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

The practical point for customer service is that whoever prescribes your medicine is your contact. If your GP prescribes it, speak to your GP. If a private pharmacy does, speak to that pharmacy. Mixing the two is where people get stuck, so tell each provider about the other if you move between them.

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Individual results vary. This page is information, not a substitute for medical advice.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
How do I contact Eli Lilly about Mounjaro?
Use the manufacturer contact details printed in the patient information leaflet inside your pen box. Eli Lilly can help with general product information, but it does not manage individual prescriptions, orders or deliveries. For those, contact the pharmacy or clinic that supplied your pen. For dose or side-effect questions, speak to your prescriber.
Who manufactures Mounjaro in the UK?
Mounjaro is made by Eli Lilly and supplied as a pre-filled KwikPen in six strengths from 2.5mg to 15mg. Pharmacies dispense it rather than make it. EverydayMeds receives Mounjaro through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, so the pens we dispense are genuine KwikPens.
Who to contact for repeat prescriptions?
Contact whoever prescribed your current pen: your private pharmacy or clinic, or your GP if the NHS prescribed it. With EverydayMeds, repeat orders re-check suitability each time and nothing is auto-shipped. You can reach support by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, account portal chat or phone on weekdays.
Is tirzepatide the same as Mounjaro?
Yes. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. A product sold under the generic name without a prescription is not a safe substitute.
What are the serious side effects of Mounjaro?
Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin or eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. Tell your prescriber about any new or lasting symptom, and report suspected side effects through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
How to avoid pancreatitis on Mounjaro?
There is no proven way to prevent pancreatitis while taking Mounjaro. Before you start, tell your prescriber if you have ever had pancreatitis, gallstones or gallbladder disease, or severe problems with your digestion. Severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to the back, with or without being sick, could be pancreatitis: stop using Mounjaro and get medical help straight away. You can report suspected side effects through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.
What should I avoid while taking Mounjaro?
Tell your prescriber about every medicine you take, including any diabetes treatment. Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed: switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Mounjaro is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Do not buy pens from sellers offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.
What is the black box warning on Mounjaro?
A boxed warning is a US labelling term. UK safety information is set out in the Summary of Product Characteristics and patient leaflet, which you can read in full. If a warning you have seen online worries you, ask your prescriber to explain how it applies to your own medical history.
