A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • There is no universal Mounjaro helpline: orders, clinical questions and manufacturer queries each go to a different team.
  • If you ordered from us, contact support by email, account chat or our phone line during weekday office hours.
  • Copay assistance is a US scheme and does not apply to UK prescriptions.
  • Anything urgent or severe needs a doctor, pharmacist or emergency services, not a customer service queue.

01 · Core answer

Which Mounjaro contact do you actually need?

The right contact depends on whether your question is about an order, about the medicine itself, or about the manufacturer. In the UK, Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so the pharmacy that dispensed it and the prescriber who approved it are your first and fastest points of contact.1

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. It is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes.1 Because it is prescription-only, nobody can answer questions about your personal dose or suitability without knowing your records. That is why the manufacturer cannot normally advise you individually, and why the pharmacy or prescriber is usually the quickest route.

02 · Our team

If you ordered from EverydayMeds

If you are one of our customers, contact our support team by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the chat in your account portal, or on our phone line during weekday office hours. Our phone number is 0333 207 0413, and the team answers Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We are a GPhC-registered UK online pharmacy (registration GPhC 9012878), and you can confirm that on the public register before you share any personal details.12

For delivery questions, have your order confirmation to hand. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, and our standard delivery is free, next-day, tracked and sent in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Clinical questions go to our prescribing team, who handle monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments alongside side-effect support.

03 · Next step

If you are not yet a patient

If you are still deciding, you do not need a helpline to find out whether treatment suits you. Our free online consultation is a short health questionnaire reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, with no obligation. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. You can see current strengths, prices and the consultation on the Mounjaro pen page, and read more about our approach on the weight loss clinic page. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99), and all doses are in stock. Prices checked 10 October 2026.

Whichever route you choose, write down your question, your current dose, the date of your last injection and any other medicines you take before you call. That saves time and lets whoever answers give you a precise reply rather than general advice.

04 · Who handles what

Who handles what: orders, medicine and manufacturer

Three different organisations can touch a Mounjaro prescription, and each answers a different kind of question. The pharmacy dispenses and delivers. The prescriber decides whether treatment is suitable and sets or adjusts the dose. The manufacturer, Eli Lilly, holds the product licence and publishes the official product information. Mixing these up is the main reason people end up on hold with a team that cannot help.

Order questions belong with the pharmacy. That covers delivery windows, tracking, a parcel that has not arrived, payment queries and whether a repeat order has been approved. Pharmacies hold your order record, so they are the only ones who can see what was dispensed and when. If something arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, tell the pharmacy promptly, because returns for dispensed prescription medicines are limited to those situations.

Medicine questions belong with a prescriber or pharmacist. These include what to do after a late injection, whether a symptom is related to treatment, or whether a new medicine is compatible. The patient information leaflet is the approved written reference, and it explains the dosing schedule and warnings in plain language.13 Your prescriber can apply that to your circumstances, which a general helpline cannot.

Manufacturer questions belong with Eli Lilly. Examples are queries about the licensed product itself, a formal product complaint, or a request for official product documents. The leaflet and the product information on the electronic medicines compendium list the company and its contact route for the UK.1 Our guide to Eli Lilly customer service for Mounjaro explains what the manufacturer can and cannot do for patients.

A pharmacy will not change your dose without prescriber review. The manufacturer will not usually discuss your personal treatment. A call handler will not diagnose a symptom. If your question involves your body, your dose or your other medicines, a clinician needs to be involved, and that is what the prescribing team and pharmacists are there for.

Mounjaro comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Knowing your current strength, and quoting it when you make contact, speeds up almost every conversation. Keep the pen box, the label and the leaflet together so the details are easy to read out.

05 · Reaching our support team

Reaching the EverydayMeds support team

Our support team is reachable by email, account portal chat and phone on weekdays during office hours. The email address is support@everydaymeds.co.uk. The chat sits inside your account, which means the agent can already see your order. The phone line is listed on our site contact details and in your account area, and we recommend using that rather than any number a search engine suggests.

Choosing the right channel saves time. Chat suits quick order questions, because your account context is already there. Email suits anything that needs a written record, such as a delivery issue with photos of damaged packaging. Phone suits cases where you want to talk through a concern with someone straight away. Outside office hours, send an email or leave a message in your account and the team will pick it up on the next working day.

Our service follows a simple journey. You complete a free online consultation, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, our registered pharmacy dispenses, and the order is delivered next day in tracked, discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. The consultation is free, the price shown is the price paid, and there are no hidden fees.

Ongoing care is part of the service. The prescribing team carries out monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, and offers side-effect support. Repeat orders re-check suitability and there is no auto-shipping, so you decide when to reorder. Every order includes needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance. If you are unsure how to use the pen, ask support before your injection day instead of guessing.

Payment questions are also handled by the support team. We accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). If a code does not seem to apply, tell support and they can check your basket.

Many customers also use GLPTrackr, our free companion app for tracking a GLP-1 journey on iOS and Android. It is not a helpline, but keeping a record of injection dates, doses and symptoms means you can give accurate details whenever you contact anyone about your treatment. For a general walkthrough, see our guide to the Mounjaro contact number options.

06 · Eli Lilly and LillyDirect

Eli Lilly, LillyDirect and who makes Mounjaro

Eli Lilly manufactures Mounjaro, and it is the company that holds the product information and licence in the UK.1 People often ask who the manufacturer is because they want a number to ring about a problem. The manufacturer is a legitimate place for product-level queries, but it is not a prescriber and does not run a patient-by-patient helpline in the way a pharmacy does.

Our supply comes through official LillyDirect channels, which means Mounjaro sourced directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution. The pens are genuine KwikPens and every strength is stocked. This matters when you are choosing who to contact, because a pharmacy with a verified supply chain can trace your pen back to its source if there is a product question. A pharmacy that cannot explain where its pens come from is a warning sign.

You can also verify any pharmacy for yourself. The General Pharmaceutical Council keeps a public register of pharmacies and pharmacy professionals, and you can search for a registration number there.12 Ours is GPhC 9012878. If a website cannot show a registration number you can check, do not give it your health details or payment information, and do not trust a phone number that appears on it.

Counterfeit and fake products are a real risk around high-demand injectables. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme for reporting suspected problems.7 Treat any seller offering to supply Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription as unsafe, however professional its customer service line sounds. A genuine UK supplier will always ask for a clinical assessment first.

Fake customer service numbers are a related trap. Scammers place numbers in adverts and directory listings, then ask for card details or personal information. Never give your full card details to someone who calls you unprompted, and never accept a number from a social media comment as official. Use the contact route printed in your leaflet, on your order confirmation, or on a website you have verified yourself.

If you want to confirm that a pen you received is genuine, our page on the Mounjaro serial number check explains what the markings on the pack and pen can and cannot tell you, and who to contact if something does not look right.

07 · Copay assistance and NHS access

Copay assistance, NHS access and the US confusion

Mounjaro Copay Assistance is a United States programme, and it does not apply to UK prescriptions. If you are in the UK, you cannot use a US copay card, and a US phone number will not help with a UK pharmacy order.

The UK picture is different. Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years.4 NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions).6 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

If you think you might qualify for NHS treatment, your GP surgery is the right place to ask, because they hold your records and know how your local service is organised. The NHS also publishes general information about the medicine and what to expect.5 NHS prescriptions in England carry the standard prescription charge of £9.90 per item unless you are exempt, though this does not apply to private treatment.

Private treatment works differently. You pay the pharmacy price, which varies by strength and provider. Across the UK pharmacies we track, the dearest and cheapest pens differ noticeably, and the gap between providers for the same strength can be large. Our own index, checked 10 October 2026, shows pens ranging from £143.96 to £339.00 per month across all strengths and providers. That range is worth knowing before you pick a supplier, because customer service quality and price are separate questions.

For our own pens, the standard monthly price runs from £169.99 at 2.5mg to £329.99 at 15mg, and a new customer's first order at any strength is £40 less. Every later order is £25 off the standard price. These are the figures that render live on our product page, so the page always reflects what you would actually pay.

If you are weighing NHS against private care, there is no wrong answer, only a practical one: how long you can wait, whether you meet the criteria, and what you can afford. Neither route removes the need for a clinician to check suitability and review your progress.

08 · Medical questions to ask

Medical questions a customer service line cannot answer

Questions about who should not take Mounjaro, what to avoid, and which medicines clash with it need a clinician, not a general customer service agent. These are among the most common things people ask, and the honest answer is that the patient information leaflet and your prescriber give you the authoritative version for your circumstances.13

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Individual results vary. This page is information, not a substitute for medical advice.

On who should not take it: you should not take Mounjaro if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems. Always share your full medical history and medicine list during consultation, including pregnancy plans. Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. Omitting something because it seems unrelated can change the safety picture. If your circumstances change after you start, tell the prescribing team promptly.

On interactions: the medicine slows how quickly the stomach empties, and this can reduce absorption of oral contraceptives, so ask your prescriber what contraception advice applies to you.7 The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 If you use insulin or sulfonylureas, doses may need adjusting because of the risk of low blood sugar, so they should be reviewed rather than stopped or continued by guesswork. Any other medicine, including over-the-counter products, should be mentioned to your prescriber or pharmacist.

Be cautious with low-cost supplements marketed as natural alternatives. They carry no clinical oversight, their dosing is not standardised, and they are not equivalent to a licensed medicine.

On long-term effects: your prescriber reviews how treatment is going at regular intervals, and our team carries out monthly reviews. Report anything new to them, and you can also report suspected side effects yourself through the Yellow Card scheme.19 Contacting a clinician about a symptom is always better than waiting for it to resolve on its own if it is troubling you.

09 · Pen problems and side effects

Pen problems, storage and side effects: what to do

If your pen arrives damaged, looks wrong or will not work, contact the dispensing pharmacy promptly and keep the packaging. Faulty, damaged or wrong items are the situations where a dispensed prescription medicine can be returned, so a prompt report with a photo makes resolution quicker. Do not use a pen you doubt, and do not try to fix a pen yourself.

Storage questions are common reasons to ring a helpline, and the answers are in the leaflet. Unopened pens are kept in the fridge until first use and keep until the printed expiry date. The approved fridge range is 2–8°C.13 Once a pen is in use, it can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. For any other storage scenario, such as a pen left out accidentally before its first use, check the leaflet and ask the pharmacy rather than guessing.

For injection technique, follow the pen's instructions. Every order we send includes needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance, and our support team can talk you through the pack if anything is unclear before your injection day. Do not share pens, and do not reuse needles.

Side effects need a different route from product faults. If you feel unwell after an injection, contact your prescriber or pharmacist. For severe, persistent stomach pain, swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing or yellowing of the skin or eyes, get medical help straight away. A customer service queue is not the right place for anything urgent. You can also report suspected side effects to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme, which helps regulators monitor safety.19

A symptom that is not on the full side-effect list in the UK patient leaflet is not a listed side effect. Tell your prescriber about any new or lasting symptom, because it can have other causes that deserve attention.1

When you do contact someone about a pen or symptom, have these ready: your name and order number, your current strength, the date of your last injection, the batch or expiry printed on the pack, and a clear description of what happened. If the issue is about authenticity, start with the guidance on the serial number check page.

10 · Stopping, pausing and reviews

Stopping, pausing and review conversations

If you want to stop, pause or change your treatment, speak to your prescriber rather than simply stopping contact. Many calls to support teams are really about this: someone feels unsure, has had a difficult few weeks, or cannot afford the next order. The prescribing team would much rather hear that than have you drift away without a plan.

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly four to five weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1 This is useful to know if you are worried about how long a medicine stays active after you stop, for example before planning a procedure or a pregnancy conversation. Tell your clinician about those plans so they can advise you properly.

Understanding the mechanism also helps you ask better questions. Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1 That is why changes to eating, nausea around meals and appetite are sensible topics for your review.

Dose changes follow a schedule rather than a phone request. Moving up or down is a prescriber decision, taken in reviews that look at how you are tolerating treatment and what you want from it.

If cost is the reason you are thinking of stopping, tell us. At standard prices, a first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg; a new customer's first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less. Repeat orders re-check suitability and nothing ships automatically, so you stay in control of timing.

Finally, keep a record of everything you discuss. Our GLPTrackr app helps with dates and doses, and our broader overview of prescription weight loss drugs may help if you are reconsidering which treatment suits you.

11 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
What is the Mounjaro customer service telephone number in the UK?
There is no single Mounjaro customer service number in the UK, because the right team depends on your question. For orders and clinical questions, contact the pharmacy that dispensed your pen. If you ordered from EverydayMeds, call us on 0333 207 0413 or email support@everydaymeds.co.uk, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, or use the chat in your account. Manufacturer queries go to Eli Lilly through the route printed in your leaflet.
What is the phone number for Mounjaro Copay Assistance?
Mounjaro Copay Assistance is a United States savings programme and does not apply to prescriptions in the UK, so there is no UK number for it. If you see a copay card or helpline advertised, check that it is for a US healthcare system before sharing any details. In the UK you either pay the pharmacy price for private treatment or access NHS treatment through your GP or an NHS weight-management service, where availability is being phased in over several years.
Can I call a pharmacy for a medication question?
Yes, and it is often the fastest route. Pharmacists can answer questions about how to use a pen, what to do after a late injection, storage, and whether another medicine is likely to matter alongside Mounjaro. With an online pharmacy, you can contact support or the prescribing team by email, account chat or phone during weekday office hours. For anything urgent or severe, use emergency services or urgent NHS care rather than a general queue.
Who is the manufacturer of Mounjaro?
Mounjaro is made by Eli Lilly. It is the brand name for tirzepatide, a weekly injectable prescription medicine, licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. Eli Lilly holds the product information, and the patient leaflet lists the company's contact route. Our supply comes through official LillyDirect channels, meaning Mounjaro sourced directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution. The manufacturer handles product-level queries, while your pharmacy and prescriber handle your own treatment.
Who should not take Mounjaro?
You should not take Mounjaro if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems. Always share your full medical history and medicine list during consultation. If your circumstances change after you begin treatment, tell the prescribing team promptly so they can reassess whether it is still right for you.
What medications shouldn't you take with Mounjaro?
Rather than a simple list of banned medicines, the guidance is about adjustments and checks. The medicine slows how quickly the stomach empties, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed. Switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method such as condoms, for 4 weeks after starting and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. If you use insulin or sulfonylureas, doses may need adjusting because of the risk of low blood sugar. Tell your prescriber and pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, so they can review the combination for you.
Can I drink alcohol while taking Mounjaro?
There is no direct interaction between Mounjaro and alcohol, but drinking on a reduced appetite and emptier stomach can hit harder than usual. If you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea, alcohol increases the risk of low blood sugar. Moderation is the sensible rule. Mention any changes in how you tolerate food or drink during your monthly review.
What are the long-term effects of Mounjaro?
Your prescriber reviews how treatment is going at regular intervals, and our team carries out monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments. The leaflet and product information describe the recognised side effects, and anything else you notice should be discussed with a clinician. You can also report suspected side effects to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme. Tirzepatide takes roughly four to five weeks to clear the system after a final dose, with nothing needing to be done while it does.
What supplements are recommended for taking Mounjaro?
No supplement is required with Mounjaro, but eating much less can leave gaps, so a standard daily multivitamin is a reasonable safety net; discuss anything beyond that with a pharmacist. Low-cost supplements marketed as natural alternatives have no clinical oversight and their dosing is not standardised, so they are not equivalent to a licensed medicine. If you are considering vitamins or any supplement, ask your prescriber or pharmacist first, since they can check it against your health history and everything else you take.
How do I know a Mounjaro customer service number is genuine?
Use numbers from sources you can verify: your patient leaflet, your order confirmation, or a website whose pharmacy registration you have checked on the GPhC public register. Ours is GPhC 9012878. Be wary of numbers in adverts, social media comments or directories, and never give card details to an unexpected caller. Treat any seller offering to supply Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription as unsafe, regardless of how professional their phone service sounds.
