What Mounjaro costs online in the UK

Mounjaro costs between £143.96 and £319.99 per pen across the UK pharmacies we track, based on our own index checked 24 October 2026. The cheapest and dearest 2.5mg starting pens in that index are £143.96 and £179.99. For the same dose, the gap between one provider and another is anywhere from £20 to £36.03. Because every pen is four weekly doses, all of these are monthly figures.

How the discounts work

A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. That includes people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose, not only those starting at 2.5mg. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). So your ongoing monthly cost at any dose is that dose's standard price minus £25.

For reference, the first-order price of the 2.5mg starter pen is £129.99, and the first-order price of a 15mg pen for someone switching to us at the top dose is £259.99. Both are one-off first-order figures, not monthly prices.

What the price includes

The consultation is free, and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. Your order is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, and if an order is unsuitable it is refunded automatically. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Mounjaro comes direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution through official LillyDirect supply, so you receive genuine KwikPens. Delivery is free, next-day, tracked and in temperature-controlled packaging. If you order by 3pm we dispatch the same day. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order.

What you are paying for with Mounjaro

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen, the KwikPen, in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.¹

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. This dual action distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy and Ozempic).¹

What does that mean for results? In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages, and individual results vary. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.²

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.² Trial averages do not predict your own result, so treat them as context for the cost rather than a target.

It also helps to think about value in terms of the service, not just the pen. A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether Mounjaro is suitable. A low price that skips that assessment is not a bargain, because the assessment is what makes the treatment safe to take.

06 · Year cost planning

What a year of Mounjaro costs

A first year (52 weeks, 13 pens) costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, at standard prices before any discount. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less, so the amount you actually pay will be lower than these totals.

A first year is 13 pens, not 12, because each pen lasts four weeks. Mounjaro is started at 2.5mg and increased in steps, so the early pens cost less than the later ones. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices, again before discounts.

If you settle at a dose in between, the cleaner way to plan is the monthly price of that dose: £244.99 at 7.5mg, £274.99 at 10mg or £289.99 at 12.5mg, before the £25 reorder discount. The number of months you spend on each strength depends on your prescriber's plan and how you respond.

07 · Eligibility and consultation

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.¹

A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.¹ That is why a genuine online pharmacy always starts with a consultation. 08 · NHS versus private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially people with a BMI of 40 or above and four or more qualifying conditions.⁴⁶

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.⁶ The two routes are not in competition: NHS access is the right route if you are in an eligible group and your local service has reached you, and private treatment is a regulated alternative if you are not or do not want to wait.

For people with type 2 diabetes, Mounjaro is licensed for that condition. Ask your GP or diabetes team. 09 · List prices and the future

Why Mounjaro prices rose and will it get cheaper

Mounjaro prices rose because Eli Lilly raised its UK list price in September 2025.¹⁰

List prices are not what every pharmacy pays or charges. Pharmacy sell prices vary because of confidential discounts, which is why the same pen can cost a different amount depending on where you buy it.¹⁰ Our index of the UK pharmacies we track shows a gap of £20 to £36.03 between providers for the same dose, which is the practical result of that.

People often ask whether Mounjaro will get cheaper. Our prices are shown live with a check date, so any change appears straight away.

While you wait, there are sensible ways to reduce what you pay without taking risks. 10 · Fake pens and safe buying

Avoiding fake Mounjaro: the safety side of a low price

The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷ That is why a suspiciously low price should make you more careful, not less.

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation, so any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is a warning sign. Mounjaro is manufactured by Eli Lilly. Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked. When your pen arrives, check it. A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.¹³
