01 · Price
What one month of Mounjaro costs
One month of Mounjaro costs the price of a single pen at your prescribed strength. Our standard prices per pen are £169.99 at 2.5mg, £218.99 at 5mg, £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg. Each pen covers four weekly injections. In weekly terms that works out at £42.50 a week at 2.5mg and £82.50 a week at 15mg. You can see the live figures and choose your strength on the Mounjaro pen page.
Discounts sit on top of those standard prices. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. That includes people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. Your first 2.5mg pen therefore costs £129.99 (standard price £169.99). If you are switching at 15mg, your first order is £289.99. After that, every future order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25).
The price shown is the price paid. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
02 · Planning
What a month costs across the first year
Your monthly cost changes as the dose goes up, so the cost of one month in week 2 is not the cost in month 8. Mounjaro starts at 2.5mg and is increased in steps, so most people pay a lower price at the start.
| Stage | Pens | Standard cost |
|---|---|---|
| First four pens if you step up after 4 weeks on each of 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg | 4 | £959.96 |
| First year, staying on 5mg after one 2.5mg pen | 13 | £2,711.88 |
| First year, stepping up through every dose to 15mg | 13 | £3,599.88 |
A first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. If you settle at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg, your monthly cost is £279.99, £290.99 or £319.99 respectively. These totals are before discounts: a new customer's first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less. For a longer view, see our multi-month supply guide and the three-month bundle page.
03 · Market
How that compares with other UK pharmacies
Across the UK pharmacies we track, a Mounjaro pen costs between £143.96 and £339.00, depending on dose and provider (checked 10 October 2026). For the 2.5mg starting pen alone, prices run from £143.96 to £179.99. For the same dose, the gap between providers ranges from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro prices run from £179.00 to £339.00 across its doses.
Check any provider's price for the exact dose you need, on the day you order, and confirm what is included. Compare the whole cost of a month: the pen, delivery, the consultation and any follow-up.
04 · What a month contains
What a month's supply actually contains
A month's supply is one pre-filled KwikPen designed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injection made by Eli Lilly. It comes in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Each pen is a single strength, so you do not mix doses within one pen.
Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. Store unused pens in the fridge until first use, and they keep until the printed expiry date.13
Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order from us. For other ways of counting a month, our guides on a month's supply and the one-month pen go through the same ground. The one-month supply cost page lists the breakdown by dose.
05 · Dose and monthly price
Why your dose sets your monthly price
A prescriber starts you on 2.5mg and moves you up in steps of at least 4 weeks, depending on how you respond, so your monthly cost usually rises before it levels off.11 Not everyone goes to 15mg. Many people stay on a mid-range strength if they are responding well and tolerating it.
At our standard prices, a month costs £169.99 at 2.5mg, £218.99 at 5mg and £279.99 at 7.5mg. At 10mg it is £290.99, at 12.5mg £319.99 and at 15mg £329.99. If you already take one of the higher strengths, our guide to the 10mg monthly supply shows what that stage looks like. The cost by strength and monthly supply guide covers the full ladder.
If you are switching from another provider, the new-customer discount of £40 applies to your first order at any dose. We re-check suitability at each repeat order, so you will not be shipped a strength you have not been reviewed for.
06 · The September price rise
How much Mounjaro costs after the September price rise
Eli Lilly raised the UK list price of Mounjaro with effect from 1 September 2025, and the increase was largest on the highest dose.10 List price is what pharmacies are charged before their own confidential discounts, so the price you pay depends on the pharmacy.
07 · Keeping costs down safely
Ways to keep the monthly cost down safely
The safe way to lower your monthly cost is to use the discounts. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40. An automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). We also offer Klarna and pay-monthly options with no subscription lock-in, so you can spread the cost without being tied in.
Mounjaro is licensed as a once-weekly medicine, and its blood levels are designed around a 7-day cycle. Talk to your clinical team rather than self-adjusting.
Each pen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.1
08 · Genuine pens only
Why a very low-priced pen can cost you most
A very low price for a month of Mounjaro should make you more careful, not less. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7
Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.12 Be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.
A genuine UK pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and holds a clear, colourless solution. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been in use for more than 30 days.13 If anything seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the register and contact it before injecting. Our Mounjaro comes directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution through official LillyDirect supply.
09 · NHS or private
NHS or private: what you pay for a month
On the NHS, Mounjaro is available, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.
If you are prescribed Mounjaro on the NHS in England, you would normally pay the standard prescription charge of £9.90 per item, unless you are exempt. Ask your GP whether you fall into a group currently being prioritised.
10 · Who it is licensed for
Who can buy a month of Mounjaro
Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.111 A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable.
That assessment is part of what you pay for. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
11 · What you get for the price
What the monthly price includes
The monthly price covers the pen itself and the service around it. The consultation is free, with no charge and no obligation. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, and the order is dispensed by our registered pharmacy. Delivery is free next-day, tracked, in temperature-controlled packaging, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm. Saturday delivery is £14.99.
Ongoing monthly clinical reviews, dose-titration support and side-effect support are part of our aftercare. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0333 207 0413 or at support@everydaymeds.co.uk. We also offer GLPTrackr, a free companion app for tracking your treatment.
All six doses are in stock. To order, there are three steps: complete the free online consultation, wait for the prescriber's review, then receive your dispensed pen by delivery. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing is shipped automatically.
12 · Value for money
What a month of treatment is likely to deliver
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages, and individual results vary. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.
Weight loss is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest. A sensible three-month expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation.2 Your prescriber reviews your response: if you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.
In trials, weight loss on tirzepatide also came with average improvements in waist size, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood-sugar measures. These are secondary outcomes, not promises.2 To see what early progress looks like, read our piece on Mounjaro after one month.
13 · Cheaper alternatives
Are there cheaper alternatives to Mounjaro?
Other licensed weight-loss medicines exist, but cheaper is not the same as equivalent. Wegovy (semaglutide) is a once-weekly injection with a dose ladder of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg, stepping up after at least four weeks to reach the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 17.18 Your first Wegovy pen costs £99.99 (a first-order price). Liraglutide products such as Saxenda are daily injections, unlike once-weekly Mounjaro and Wegovy. For tablets, see current prices on the product page. Our weight loss treatments overview lists every option.
Low-cost supplements, including those marketed as 'nature's Ozempic', are available cheaply without assessment, but they come with no clinical oversight and are not equivalent to a licensed medicine. Dramatic weight-loss claims on such products should be treated with caution. If you are weighing a longer commitment, our guides on a two-month supply and on getting a three-month supply explain how stock is dispensed, and the monthly cost guide repeats the live figures.
How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
