A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Delivery time is approval time plus transit: the prescriber review is the variable step, the courier leg is next-day and tracked.
  • Order by 3pm for same-day dispatch; later orders miss that day's dispatch.
  • Standard delivery is free and next-day; Saturday delivery costs £14.99.
  • Pens travel in temperature-controlled packaging and should go in the fridge as soon as they arrive.
  • Plan your first order before you run out, so a delay never interrupts your weekly dose day.
In this guide

01 · The short answer

How long Mounjaro delivery takes from order to doorstep

Delivery takes the time your consultation needs to be approved, plus a next-day tracked courier journey. Our part of the process is quick: dispensing happens in our registered pharmacy, and orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. The courier is DPD, and delivery is free.

Approval depends on your answers and on whether the prescriber needs anything further from you, so the time it takes varies.

02 · Timing your order

The cutoff time and weekend delivery

The cutoff is 3pm, and it applies to dispatch, not to starting the consultation. If your order is approved and ready before the cutoff, it leaves the pharmacy that day. If it is approved afterwards, it goes out later and arrives later. Because approval is a separate step, starting your consultation early in the day gives the review room to finish before the cutoff.

Standard delivery is free and next-day. If you need a Saturday arrival, Saturday delivery is available at £14.99. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so if something looks wrong with an order on a weekend, you will reach us at the start of the next working day.

03 · Next step

What to do if you want your pen quickly

Start with the free consultation on the Mounjaro pen page, where current prices and doses are shown. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). For a broader view of delivery pricing, see our guide to Mounjaro delivered to your door.

04 · Before you order

What speeds up approval before you order

The most common cause of a slow order is an incomplete consultation. Have your medical history, current medicines and any allergies to hand before you begin. The prescriber reviews each answer, so clear and complete information means fewer follow-up questions.

You can also help by checking your delivery address carefully, choosing an address where someone will be present, and making sure your phone and email are correct so you receive tracking updates. These are small things, but they are the ones that most often cause a courier to miss a first attempt.

Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. That is why the approval step matters more to your timeline than the courier does.

05 · Cold-chain packaging

How the pen is kept cool in transit

Your pen arrives in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging designed for next-day transit. Mounjaro pens should be kept in a fridge at 2–8°C and must never be frozen.1 Once the parcel arrives, open it promptly and move the pen into the fridge unless you are about to inject.

Unopened pens keep in the fridge until the expiry date printed on the box.13 Do not use a pen that has been frozen. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, for example because a parcel sat outside for a long time, check with the pharmacy before using it.

Once a pen is in use, it can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, after which it should be discarded.1 Our guides on how long a pen can be open and keeping Mounjaro unrefrigerated go further.

06 · Tracking and delivery day

Tracking, "out for delivery" and missed deliveries

"Out for delivery" means your parcel is on the courier's local vehicle and is being brought to addresses on its route. It usually means arrival that day, but it is not a time promise, and a missed attempt can push it back. Follow the tracking link and keep your phone nearby.

If you will not be home, choose a delivery address where someone can accept the parcel, such as a workplace or a trusted neighbour's. Because the pen is temperature sensitive, avoid leaving it for long periods in a hot or cold place.

If tracking shows a failed attempt, contact the courier first, then our support team on Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm: email support@everydaymeds.co.uk, use the portal chat, or call 0333 207 0413. If the item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us promptly, because that is the situation where a dispensed medicine can be returned.

07 · Time your repeat orders

Timing repeat orders so you never miss a dose

Order your next pen before your current one runs out. Each pen contains four weekly doses,1 so you can see when it will end. Repeat orders re-check your suitability and there is no auto-shipping, which means you decide when to reorder and the prescriber reviews each one.

Every later order is £25 off the standard price, using code DOSE25. Reordering early keeps your dosing steady. If you are stepping up a dose, the prescriber will also be reviewing how you are tolerating treatment, which is part of the ongoing monthly reviews we include.

If a delay does leave you late for a dose, the rule is to take a missed dose as soon as you can within four days (96 hours) of the scheduled time. After that, skip it and take the next on your normal day, and never take two doses within three days of each other.1

08 · What arrives and what to expect

What arrives with your order and what happens next

You receive a genuine KwikPen sourced through official LillyDirect supply, plus needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance. All six strengths, from 2.5mg to 15mg, are stocked, and they are in stock as of October 2026.

Everyone starts on 2.5mg once a week, which is about letting your body adjust rather than weight loss itself.1 Delivery speed does not change how treatment works, and you do not need to inject on the day it arrives. Pick a consistent weekly injection day and keep the pen in the fridge until then. Read our guide on how long Mounjaro takes to work for a realistic picture of the first weeks.

On pace: weight loss is gradual by design, and trials measured results at 72 weeks, so think in months, not days.2 A sensible three-month expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation.2

09 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
How long does it take for Mounjaro to be delivered?
Once a GPhC-registered prescriber approves your consultation, we dispatch your pen the same day if you ordered by 3pm, and it arrives by free next-day tracked delivery. The only step that varies is approval, because each consultation is reviewed individually. Saturday delivery is available for £14.99.
When can I expect my order to arrive?
Expect arrival the next day after dispatch. If your order is approved and ready before 3pm, it is dispatched the same day. Orders approved after the cutoff leave later and arrive later. You receive tracking, so you can follow the parcel. Saturday delivery is an extra £14.99 if you need it.
Does "out for delivery" mean it will arrive today?
Usually, yes. "Out for delivery" means the parcel is on the courier's vehicle and being brought along its route. It is not a promise of a specific time, and a failed attempt can push delivery back. Keep your phone nearby, use the tracking link, and contact the courier or our support team if it does not arrive.
How long do orders usually take to process?
Processing is mostly the prescriber review of your free consultation. Each review depends on your answers and history, so the time varies. Once approved, dispensing is quick, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
How long will my package take if it's out for delivery?
A package marked out for delivery normally arrives that same day, as the courier works through the route. The exact time is not fixed. If nobody is home, the courier may leave a card or retry. Because Mounjaro is temperature sensitive, move the pen into the fridge as soon as you collect it.
How long does it take for a prescription to be ready from a GP?
That depends on your surgery, and NHS access to Mounjaro is being phased in over several years, so ask your GP what applies to you. Our private route is separate: you complete a free online consultation, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, and approved orders are dispatched with free next-day tracked delivery.
