A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Weight loss injections are prescription-only; any website offering them without a consultation or prescription is not a legitimate pharmacy.
  • Mounjaro starts at £169.99 per month for the 2.5mg pen; a first year costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg.
  • Check the pharmacy on the GPhC register (ours is 9012878) before you pay, and never buy from social media or beauty salons.
  • NHS access is being phased in over several years, so many eligible adults choose regulated private treatment.
  • Injections work alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more activity; trial averages do not predict your own result.

01

Can you buy weight loss injections online in the UK?

Yes. A UK-registered online pharmacy can supply weight loss injections to your door, provided a prescriber has first reviewed your health information and decided the treatment is suitable. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.1 If a seller will ship an injection with no consultation or prescription, treat that as a warning sign, not a shortcut.

Online ordering is simply the same clinical process moved to your phone. You answer a short health questionnaire, a prescriber reviews it, and the pharmacy dispenses and posts the pen. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Our guide on what the online consultation involves goes into more detail, and if safety is your main worry, read how to tell whether ordering online is safe.

02

Which weight loss injections can you order online?

Three injectable options are commonly offered in the UK for weight management: Mounjaro, Wegovy and liraglutide (sold as Saxenda and similar products). They differ mainly in how often you inject and in how they work.

InjectionActive ingredientHow oftenWhat is known about it
MounjaroTirzepatideOnce weeklyActivates two gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1; six pen strengths from 2.5mg to 15mg1
WegovySemaglutideOnce weeklyPens of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg; reaches the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 1718
Liraglutide (Saxenda and similar)LiraglutideDailySupplied at 6mg per millilitre; a daily injection, unlike the weekly options

We focus on Mounjaro, which we supply through official LillyDirect supply direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, with all six doses stocked and in stock. For a wider view, see all weight loss treatments.

03

What does it cost to buy Mounjaro online?

The standard price of one 4-week pen is £169.99 at 2.5mg, £189.99 at 5mg, £244.99 at 7.5mg, £274.99 at 10mg, £289.99 at 12.5mg and £299.99 at 15mg. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, and every later order gets an automatic £25 off (code DOSE25). Your first 2.5mg pen therefore costs £129.99 (standard price £169.99). Switching to us at 15mg? Your first order is £259.99.

Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens at any dose are £143.96 and £319.99, and the gap between providers for the same dose ranges from £20 to £36.03 (checked 24 October 2026). Comparing like-for-like doses matters more than headline prices. Our page on the cheapest weight loss injections online shows how to compare.

The price shown is the price paid: the consultation is free, there are no hidden fees, and needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Delivery is free and next-day, tracked, in temperature-controlled packaging; Saturday delivery is £14.99. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.

04

What a year of treatment costs

Because the dose rises in steps, the cost changes over time. These figures are at standard prices, before discounts; a new customer's first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less.

PhasePensStandard cost
First year if you settle at 5mg13£2,399.88
First year if you settle at 15mg13£3,279.88
Maintenance at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg1 per month£244.99, £274.99 or £289.99 per month

Klarna and pay-monthly options are available, and there are no subscriptions: repeat orders re-check suitability and nothing ships automatically.

05

How ordering works in three steps

First, complete the free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation. Second, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers; if they decide the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Third, our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen and sends it by free next-day tracked delivery. You can start your consultation here, and our guide to UK registered pharmacies explains what the registration means.

06 · Who can get them

Who can get weight loss injections online?

Eligibility is set by the licence, not by the website you use. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1 It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.11 That assessment is the real gate. Meeting the BMI figure does not automatically mean treatment is right: other conditions or medicines may change the decision, and a prescriber can decline an order. If that happens at EverydayMeds, you are refunded automatically in full.

This is why a legitimate service asks real questions. Be wary of any provider whose consultation looks like a form that approves everyone. Ours is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, not a scoring script, and the review continues after your first order: we offer ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, and side-effect support.

Medicines and conditions to mention

Tell the prescriber about everything you take, including prescription medicines and anything bought over the counter. Two points are worth knowing in advance. Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed.7 The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 And if you take insulin or sulfonylureas, doses may need adjusting because of the risk of low blood sugar; your prescriber will advise rather than simply ruling treatment out.11

What if you do not meet the criteria?

If your BMI is below the licensed range, you will not be prescribed Mounjaro for weight loss, and no responsible pharmacy should supply it. Our guide to buying weight loss injections from a pharmacy covers what to expect at consultation, and our treatments overview shows the alternatives we offer.

One more practical point: you will be asked for your height and weight, so measure them honestly the same day you fill in the form. Accurate answers are what allow the prescriber to judge suitability, and they protect you if your circumstances change later.

07 · NHS or private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years.6 NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially people with a BMI of 40 or more and four or more qualifying conditions.4 Full rollout is expected to take years.

That staged approach means that whether you can get an NHS prescription now depends on where you sit in the order of priority. If you are in a group being offered treatment, the NHS route is worth pursuing. Speak to your GP, and read the NHS guidance on tirzepatide for what the service says about eligibility.5 NHS prescriptions in England carry the standard £9.90 charge unless you are exempt, though local arrangements for weight-management services can differ, so ask your practice.

Why people choose regulated private treatment

Many adults who meet the licensed criteria but are not yet in an NHS priority group choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. The key word is regulated: a GPhC-registered pharmacy, a prescriber who reviews your case, genuine Lilly-supplied pens, and aftercare. Private does not mean less careful, and it should never mean less checked.

It also helps to see the two routes as complementary rather than competing. You can ask your GP about NHS eligibility while a private route is available if you decide not to wait. Our page on weight loss injections and the NHS sets out the pathway in more detail.

Questions to ask either way

Whichever route you choose, ask who will review you, how often, what happens if side effects occur, and what the plan is if treatment is stopped. A good service answers these plainly. With us, follow-up is built in: monthly reviews, dose-titration and side-effect support from the prescribing team, available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat, or by phone on 0333 207 0413.

If you are unsure which route fits you, start the free consultation. It carries no obligation, and the prescriber's assessment will tell you whether treatment is suitable at all before you pay anything. If it is not suitable, you simply are not charged, and you can take the conversation back to your GP with a clearer picture.

08 · How Mounjaro works

How Mounjaro works and what you receive

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen, the KwikPen, in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin.1 In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. That dual action distinguishes it from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide.

What arrives at your door

Each KwikPen contains four weekly doses, so one pen covers four weeks. Your parcel comes in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging by DPD, with needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance included. Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.1

How long it stays in the body

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4 to 5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1

What it is not

It is not a stand-alone fix. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2 It is also not for everyone, which is exactly why a prescriber reviews every order. If you want the product details and live pricing, see the Buy Mounjaro hub, or our shorter guide to buying a weight loss injection online in the UK.

Finally, understand the companion tools. GLPTrackr is our free app for tracking a GLP-1 journey on iOS and Android, useful for logging injection days, doses and how you feel between reviews so your prescriber sees a clearer picture at each check-in.

09 · Dose ladder

The dose ladder: how treatment is stepped up

Everyone starts Mounjaro on 2.5mg once a week. This starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself.1 After at least 4 weeks the dose increases to 5mg, and can then step up by 2.5mg at a minimum of 4-week intervals (7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg) up to a maximum of 15mg weekly, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.

Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg. Higher is not automatically better, and your prescriber will guide the right pace. This is also why the first year cost depends on where you end up: £2,399.88 at standard prices if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, with a new customer's first order £40 less and later orders £25 less.

Why the order of pens matters

The ladder exists for tolerability. If you are switching from another provider at a higher dose, tell the prescriber exactly what you were taking and when you last injected; they will decide the right dose to continue on. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including a switch at a higher strength.

Realistic pace of results

Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest; most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Trials measured results at 72 weeks, so think in months, not days, and judge progress by trend rather than individual weigh-ins.2

Your prescriber reviews response as you go. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, they will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.1

Cost worries and shortcuts to avoid

If cost becomes the pressure, do not adjust doses yourself. Mounjaro is licensed as a once-weekly medicine, and its blood levels are designed around a 7-day cycle. Talk to your clinical team instead.

10 · What trials show

What the trials show, and what they do not

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages. Individual results vary, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2

Putting percentages into context

Percentages are easier to judge with a worked example. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg and 15% is about 15 kg. Your own starting weight, dose, tolerance and day-to-day habits will shape what you see, and trial averages do not predict your own result. Anyone promising specific results from an injection is not giving you reliable information.

Comparisons between medicines

SURMOUNT-5 is the first large head-to-head trial of tirzepatide and semaglutide for weight loss.15 Results from separate trials of different medicines should not be set side by side as though they were a head-to-head test, because the populations and designs differ. If a website lines up two trials' headline numbers and declares a winner, treat that with caution. Your prescriber can talk you through which option suits your health, preferences and budget.

The early weeks

The 2.5mg starting weeks are about adjustment, and experiences differ widely. Some people notice appetite change and early loss in week one; others feel little until a higher dose. Both are normal. Early loss includes water weight, so the trend over weeks matters more than any single weigh-in. Mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection are the commonest early effects and usually settle.1 Report anything that worries you to your prescriber, and you can also report suspected side effects through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.19

Treatment is a months-long commitment, not a quick fix. Set your expectations around steady change and use your monthly reviews to adjust the plan rather than chasing the scale.

11 · Avoiding fakes

Avoiding fake pens and unsafe sellers

The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7 That is the single most important reason to be careful where you buy.

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.7 You can look up our registration (GPhC 9012878) on the GPhC public register.12

Red flags when ordering

  • The seller offers to supply without a consultation or prescription.
  • Orders are taken through direct messages or social media posts.
  • Prices look dramatically below every other provider you compare.
  • There is no registered pharmacy name or GPhC number you can look up.
  • The seller makes dramatic weight-loss claims.

Checking your pen on arrival

A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless.13 Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.

Using the pen as designed

Each KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver four weekly doses. Use it as designed, then dispose of it in your sharps bin. Attempts to draw out additional volume with syringes are unsafe and unlicensed, and no regulated UK pharmacy or prescriber can endorse them.1

Our approach to supply is straightforward: official LillyDirect supply, genuine KwikPens, dispensing by a registered pharmacy, and a prescriber who reviews you first. For more on safe ordering, see our guide to ordering weight loss injections safely online.

12 · Using your pen

Injecting, missed doses and storage

Mounjaro is injected under the skin once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food.1 Licensed injection sites are the stomach area (at least 5cm from the belly button), the front of the thigh, or the back of the upper arm if someone else gives the injection. Rotate the site with each dose.

The pen is set by turning the dose knob until the dose indicator shows the correct dose in the window. Follow the pen's instructions for the injection itself.13

Choosing your day

There is no best time of day. Mounjaro works the same morning or evening. What matters is the same day each week, so pick one you will remember. Many people choose a weekend morning so early side effects fall on days off. You can change your injection day if at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since your last dose.

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours) of the scheduled time, then carry on with your usual day. If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose entirely and take the next one on your normal day. Never take two doses within 3 days of each other.1

Storage and travel

Keep pens in a fridge at 2 to 8°C and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, useful for short trips, after which it should be discarded. Keep the cap on to protect it from light.1 Unopened pens stay in the fridge and keep until the expiry date printed on the box.

You can fly with Mounjaro. Carry pens in hand luggage, because hold luggage can fall below freezing, ideally in a cool bag with the prescription label or a copy of your prescription. For hot climates use an insulated pouch, and check destination rules for travelling with prescription injectables before you fly. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, check with the pharmacy before using it rather than relying on a remembered day limit; figures circulating online often come from other countries' labels.

If anything about your pen, dose or symptoms is unclear, contact the prescribing team before your next injection. That is what the monthly reviews and support line are for.

13 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1 If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can I buy weight loss injections online in the UK?
Yes, you can order weight loss injections online from a UK-registered pharmacy, but only after a consultation and with a prescription. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is not operating legitimately, and you should avoid it.
Can I buy Mounjaro online in the UK?
Yes. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine that a registered online pharmacy can supply after a clinical consultation. Our pens come through official LillyDirect supply from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and all six doses from 2.5mg to 15mg are in stock. The 2.5mg starter pen has a standard price of £169.99, and delivery is free next-day tracked, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm.
What is the cheapest way to buy weight loss injections?
The cheapest safe route is a regulated pharmacy, compared dose for dose. Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens at any dose range from £143.96 to £319.99 (checked 24 October 2026). At EverydayMeds, every later order is £25 off the standard price.
Can I get Ozempic online without seeing a doctor?
No. Ozempic is semaglutide licensed for type 2 diabetes, not a UK weight-loss medicine, and a regulated UK pharmacy will not supply it for weight loss. No legitimate UK service supplies prescription injections without a prescriber reviewing your case. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation, and sellers offering to supply without one are a recognised source of fake pens. If you are looking for a weight loss injection, a consultation with a GPhC-registered prescriber will tell you which licensed option is suitable. You can start ours free, with no obligation.
How much is a three-month supply of weight loss injections?
For Mounjaro, three months means three 4-week pens, each priced for its dose. At standard prices that is the sum of the relevant pens, for example £169.99 for the 2.5mg pen, £189.99 for 5mg and £244.99 for 7.5mg if you step up each month. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less.
What disqualifies you from getting weight loss injections?
Eligibility starts with the licence: for Mounjaro, a BMI of 30 or above, or between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Beyond that, a prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable. You should not take Mounjaro if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems. If the answer is no, you are refunded automatically in full. Mention every medicine you take, because some, such as insulin or sulfonylureas, may need dose adjustment rather than ruling treatment out.
How do I choose a weight loss injection programme?
Choose one that is regulated and clinically led, not simply cheapest. Check that the pharmacy is on the GPhC register, that a registered prescriber reviews you, that pens are genuine with batch numbers, and that monthly reviews and side-effect support are included. Ours offers a free consultation, ongoing monthly clinical reviews, official LillyDirect supply and no subscription lock-in. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more activity.
Can I get weight loss injections on the NHS instead?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40 or more with four or more qualifying conditions. Ask your GP where you fit; many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment instead of waiting.
How do I know an online pharmacy is genuine?
Look the pharmacy up on the GPhC register and confirm the registration number matches the website. Ours is 9012878. A genuine pharmacy always requires a consultation and prescription, supplies pens with a batch number and expiry date, and packs them cold-chain. Avoid social media sellers, beauty salons and unverified websites; the MHRA has seized thousands of fake pens, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Once a prescriber approves your order, our registered pharmacy dispenses it, and orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Delivery is free next-day tracked by DPD, in discreet temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery costs £14.99. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included, and our support team is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm by email, portal chat or phone on 0333 207 0413.
