What Mounjaro costs right now

The latest Mounjaro prices on our site start at £169.99 for a 2.5mg pen and reach £299.99 for 15mg. Each pen is one 4-week supply, and every strength is priced separately: 5mg is £189.99, 7.5mg is £244.99, 10mg is £274.99 and 12.5mg is £289.99. These are standard prices, which is what a repeat order is priced at before the reorder discount. All six doses are in stock.

New customers get £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. That includes people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with the code (standard price £169.99). If you are switching at 15mg, your first order is £259.99. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25), so the ongoing monthly cost at any dose is that dose's standard price minus £25. What a first year of Mounjaro costs

A first year costs £2,399.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,279.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. These totals use standard prices before any discount, over 52 weeks and 13 pens. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less. Treatment starts at 2.5mg and steps up, so your real total depends on where you stop.

Mounjaro prices rose because Eli Lilly raised its UK list price. Lilly announced the increase on 14 August 2025, effective 1 September 2025.

Pharmacies buy at confidential discounts, so sell prices differ between providers. That is why the same pen can have very different prices from one pharmacy to another. 05 · Free or NHS access

Can you get Mounjaro for free?

The only route to free Mounjaro is the NHS, where access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions. Full rollout is expected to take years.⁴⁶

If you may qualify, ask your GP practice where you stand. Many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than wait.

Be wary of anyone offering free or heavily reduced pens through social media, beauty salons or unverified sites. There is no legitimate shortcut around a prescription and a clinical consultation, and no discount card from the manufacturer that we can point you to.

06 · Who is eligible

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro privately

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.¹

A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it suits you. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

08 · Fake pens

Cheap pens: the counterfeit risk

An unusually cheap pen is a warning sign, not a bargain. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.⁷

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites.¹² Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. A genuine UK pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, and arrives cold-chain packaged. The solution inside should be clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it or is past its expiry.¹³ Check the register and contact the pharmacy if anything looks wrong.
