01 · The short answer

When should you order your next Mounjaro?

Place your next order when you inject your third dose, which leaves roughly a week before the fourth and final dose in the pen. Mounjaro is a once-weekly medicine and each KwikPen is designed to deliver exactly four weekly doses.¹ That fixed number makes planning easy, because you always know how many doses you have left.

The reason for the one-week buffer is practical. A repeat order is not a simple click-and-ship: it re-checks that treatment is still suitable for you, and a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it before anything is dispensed. Once approved, we dispense and dispatch the same day when you order by 3pm, and delivery is free and next-day, tracked, in temperature-controlled packaging. A week covers all of that with room for a delay.

02 · How reordering works

How a repeat order works with us

A repeat order follows the same route as your first one, just shorter.

• Start your order and update your details. You complete a short health questionnaire through the free online consultation. It costs nothing and carries no obligation.
• Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers, your progress and your dose. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
• Dispensing and dispatch. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.
• Delivery. Delivery is free, next-day and tracked in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

Nothing renews on its own. We do not auto-ship, so the date you place the order is the date you control. Your next Mounjaro pen is in stock across all six strengths, from 2.5mg to 15mg, though you should check at the time of ordering.

03 · What it costs

What your next order will cost

Your next pen costs the standard price for its strength, minus the reorder discount. Every future order is £25 off the standard price automatically (code DOSE25).

The standard prices per pen (four weeks) are £169.99 for 2.5mg, £189.99 for 5mg, £244.99 for 7.5mg, £274.99 for 10mg, £289.99 for 12.5mg and £299.99 for 15mg. The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. We accept Visa and Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions. If you are budgeting across several months and you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices; a new customer's first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less. A first year costs £2,399.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,279.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, again at standard prices before discounts.

04 · Why a week is the right buffer

Why a one-week buffer works

A one-week buffer works because the pen runs out on a fixed schedule and the order process has several steps. The pen is designed for four weekly doses, and the medicine is licensed as once-weekly, with levels built around a 7-day cycle.¹ There is no flexibility to fill the gap later without consequences, so it is better to be a few days early than a day late.

Think about what has to line up for a smooth handover:

• You complete the repeat questionnaire and the prescriber reviews it.
• The order is approved, dispensed and dispatched, which is same day if you order by 3pm.
• The courier delivers next day, and you need to be home to receive it or have a safe arrangement in place.
• You store the new pen in the fridge until you start it, following the patient information leaflet.¹³

Any one of these can slip by a day. Weekends, bank holidays and a missed delivery are the common causes. Ordering at dose three absorbs those slips without affecting your injection day. If your injection day falls just after a weekend, order a little earlier still, because the weekend can add days between approval and delivery.

05 · Ordering early: how early is too early

Can you order earlier than dose three?

You can plan earlier, but there is little reason to order much sooner than a week before you run out. Each pen is meant to be used for four weekly doses, and the review that approves a repeat order looks at how you are currently getting on. Ordering early is a different matter from injecting early. Taking a dose ahead of the weekly schedule is a clinical decision, not a logistics one. Having a spare pen arrive a few days before you need it is fine. It should go in the fridge until you start it, and you should only use it once the previous pen is finished. Do not use it to start taking extra doses. Because the pen is designed to deliver four doses, one new pen after each old one is the whole plan.

06 · If your order will arrive late

What if you run out before the new pen arrives?

If you can see a gap coming, contact us on the day you notice, not after your injection day passes. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat or on 0333 207 0413. Tell us your injection day and when your last dose is, and we can look at where your order is in the process.

There are some things not to do while you wait:

• Do not stretch or space out doses to cover a gap: Mounjaro is licensed as a once-weekly medicine, with blood levels designed around a 7-day cycle.
• Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.¹
• Do not buy a stopgap pen from an unverified seller. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens and has issued alerts about falsified Mounjaro. Some fake pens contained insulin rather than tirzepatide and have caused hospitalisations.⁷ Only buy from a pharmacy you can find on the GPhC register.¹²

If you do miss a dose because of a delayed delivery, ask your prescriber or pharmacist what to do before you inject again, and check the patient information leaflet for the missed-dose advice.¹³ Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so levels fall gradually over several weeks rather than dropping at once, but that is no reason to leave a gap on purpose.¹

07 · Will my next pen be a new dose?

Will your next pen be a higher dose?

Your next pen may be the same strength or a different one, and that is a prescriber decision, not something you choose when you reorder. Mounjaro comes in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.¹

When you reorder, the repeat questionnaire asks how you have been getting on, including side effects and appetite. Our prescribing team uses that to decide whether to keep you on your current strength or change it. It also helps to keep expectations realistic. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages, and individual results vary.² Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. 08 · Checking the new pen on arrival

What to check when your next pen arrives

When your pen arrives, check it before you put it in the fridge. A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless.¹³ Our pens are sourced through official LillyDirect supply, meaning Mounjaro direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date you can check.

Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. Unopened pens go in the fridge until first use and keep until the printed expiry date. For any question about an unopened pen that spent time out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and contact the pharmacy rather than guessing.

If anything about the packaging or supply seems wrong, contact the pharmacy before injecting. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included with every order, so you should not need to buy anything extra. Follow the pen's own instructions for each injection, and dispose of the finished pen in the sharps bin.

09 · Cost, NHS and your options

NHS or private: does it change when you order?

If you are supplied privately, your reorder timing is set by the pen and the order process. If you receive Mounjaro through the NHS, your supply and review timetable are set by your NHS service, so follow their instructions. Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.⁴ Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.⁶

10 · A simple reorder routine

A simple routine so you never run short

The easiest way to avoid a gap is to turn the reorder into a habit tied to your injection day. Here is a routine that works for most people on a four-weekly pen cycle.

• Day you start a new pen: write down the date you will inject dose four. That is when the pen runs out.
• Dose two: think about how you are getting on. Note any side effects, appetite changes and questions for your monthly review.
• Dose three: place your reorder. Complete the questionnaire honestly, including any new medicines or health changes, so the prescriber can review it quickly.
• Dose four: your new pen should have arrived. Check it, store it in the fridge, and use it for your next injection one week later.

11 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.¹
