A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
A first year (13 pens) costs £2,711.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,599.88 at 15mg, at standard prices.
-
Each pen holds four weekly doses; the dose rises only when your prescriber decides, so a fixed mixed-dose bundle is not a licensed plan.
-
Mounjaro is prescription-only, so every order starts with a free online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.
-
Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, checked 10 October 2026.

01 · What it costs
What does a weight loss injection bundle cost?
A bundle costs the sum of its pens, so the useful question is how many pens you will need and at which doses. Everyone starts Mounjaro on 2.5mg, and the dose can rise after at least four weeks, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.1 The first four pens, at 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg, add up to £959.96 at standard prices.
Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). Every later order is £25 off the standard price with code DOSE25. Switching to us at a higher dose? A new customer's first order at any dose gets the first-order discount, so your first 15mg pen is £289.99.
You can order the Mounjaro pen and see live prices for all six strengths. All six doses are in stock. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, and delivery is free, next-day and tracked in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.
02 · Planning
Multi-pen plans compared
The table shows how common plan lengths translate into pens. All totals are at standard prices, before the new-customer and reorder discounts.
| Plan | Pens | Standard-price cost |
|---|---|---|
| First four pens (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10mg), if you step up after 4 weeks on each | 4 | £959.96 |
| First year, settling at 5mg | 13 | £2,711.88 |
| First year, settling at 15mg | 13 | £3,599.88 |
| Maintenance at 7.5mg | 1 per month | £279.99 per month |
| Maintenance at 10mg | 1 per month | £290.99 per month |
| Maintenance at 12.5mg | 1 per month | £319.99 per month |
For other maintenance doses, use that dose's monthly price.
03 · How to order
How ordering works
Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
- Free online consultation: a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation. Start your free consultation.
- Prescriber review: a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, not a scoring script. Unsuitable orders are refunded automatically.
- Dispensing and dispatch: our registered pharmacy dispenses it, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm.
- Delivery: free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order.
Repeat orders re-check suitability, and there is no auto-shipping and no subscription. You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, or use Klarna or pay-monthly options to spread the cost. Because the consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid, there are no hidden fees. Our multi-pen bundle guide covers the same ground from a planning angle, and you can compare every option on our weight loss treatments page.
04 · What a bundle is
What is a weight loss injection bundle?
A weight loss injection bundle is a purchase of more than one pen at a time, usually two or three months of a prescription injection such as Mounjaro or Wegovy. The idea is simple: fewer orders, fewer deliveries and a clearer view of what a course will cost.
The first shape is the same-strength pack, which is two or more pens at your current dose. This suits maintenance, when you and your prescriber have settled on a dose that works. The second is the mixed-strength step-up pack, pairing your current dose with the next one up. The third is the starter pack, built around the introductory dose.
The mixed and starter shapes need care. Mounjaro always begins at 2.5mg once a week. After at least four weeks the dose can rise to 5mg, then in 2.5mg steps at minimum four-week intervals up to a maximum of 15mg, depending on response and tolerability.111 That is a minimum, not a timetable. If side effects are troublesome, your prescriber may hold you at a dose for longer. A prepaid bundle with the whole ladder pre-set can therefore be a poor fit, because the decision to step up belongs to your clinical review and not to a product page.
Many people settle at 5mg, 10mg or 15mg, and higher is not automatically better.1 A sensible way to think about a bundle is as a convenience for the months where your dose is stable, not as a way of locking in a path before you have started.
On our side, pens are supplied against a prescription after a free consultation, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than shipping automatically. We do not run subscriptions.
That approach also keeps you flexible. Pay-monthly options and Klarna can spread the cost without committing to a fixed set of pens. For help comparing the main products, our guide to weight loss injection choices sets them out side by side.
Finally, treat the word bundle in advertising with some caution. It describes how a seller packages and prices pens. It does not change the medicine, the dose schedule or the safety rules, and it should never be a reason to skip a consultation.
05 · Titration cost
The first four pens: titration cost
If you step up after 4 weeks on each of 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg, your first four pens cost £959.96 at standard prices. That is the figure to hold in mind if you are comparing a starter or step-up bundle from any provider.
Each pen holds four weekly doses, so one pen lasts four weeks.1 The standard prices are £169.99 for 2.5mg, £218.99 for 5mg, £279.99 for 7.5mg and £290.99 for 10mg. Weekly equivalents are £42.50, £54.75, £70.00 and £72.75.
Three adjustments apply for new customers. Your first order is £40 less with code FIRST40, at whatever dose you start, and every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). If you begin at 2.5mg, your first pen costs £129.99 with the code, against a standard £169.99.
It matters what the starter pen is for. The 2.5mg dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself.1 So a titration plan is not a prepaid weight-loss target. Think of the first month as setting the foundation.
Some people ask whether they can skip a step to shorten the plan. The licensed ladder rises by 2.5mg at minimum four-week intervals, so your prescriber, not a bundle, decides the pace.11 We do not suggest moving faster than the licence allows.
For comparison, Wegovy has its own ladder: 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg, stepping up after at least four weeks and reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 17.18 Its first pen is priced at £99.99 as a first-order price. See current Wegovy tablet prices on the product page.
If you want a feel for what the early weeks are like before committing to a plan, our first month on Mounjaro guide describes the starting phase in more detail.
The sensible way to use the total is as a planning ceiling. Your actual spend may be lower once the discounts are applied, and it may differ if your prescriber holds you on a dose for a further month.
06 · First-year costs
Costing a full year of treatment
A first year of 52 weeks is 13 pens, and costs £2,711.88 at standard prices if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,599.88 if you settle at 15mg. These totals add the titration pens to a run of maintenance pens at the dose you end up on.
They are standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less, so what you actually pay will be lower.
For maintenance doses between those two, give yourself a monthly number rather than a yearly one. At 7.5mg a pen is £279.99, at 10mg it is £290.99 and at 12.5mg it is £319.99. Weekly, those are £70.00, £72.75 and £80.00. A 15mg pen is £329.99, or £82.50 per week.
To see how our prices sit against the wider picture, across the UK pharmacies we track Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, checked 10 October 2026. For the 2.5mg starting pen the range is £143.96 to £179.99. The gap between providers for the same dose runs from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro doses run from £179.00 to £339.00.
Always compare like with like: the same dose, the same pen count, with consultation and delivery included. Our price is the price paid, with no hidden fees, so it is worth checking that any bundle you compare is quoted the same way.
07 · Settling on a dose
Which dose will you settle on?
Nobody knows in advance which dose they will settle on, which is a reason to be cautious about buying a fixed multi-month bundle at the start. The licensed ladder runs from 2.5mg through 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg and 12.5mg up to 15mg, and the right stopping point depends on how you respond and tolerate each step.1
Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg. Higher is not automatically better. If a lower dose is controlling your appetite and you are tolerating it, there is no requirement to climb to the top.1
Your prescriber reviews how you are doing. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, they will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.1 That review is exactly the kind of decision a prepaid bundle can pre-empt unhelpfully, which is why we prefer ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and follow-up assessments by the prescribing team.
Side effects also shape the plan. Mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection are the commonest early effects and usually settle.
For people who have reached a goal, the question becomes what happens next. Stopping should always be planned with your prescriber, with diet and activity habits ready to carry the load. In SURMOUNT-4, people who stopped tirzepatide after 36 weeks regained on average 14% of body weight over the following year, while those who continued treatment lost a further 5.5% on average.14 Stopping is also a planned decision. After a final dose, tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so it takes roughly four to five weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed that up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.
For bundle buyers, the practical conclusion is to bundle only once the dose is stable. A same-dose pack of two or three pens in maintenance carries little risk. A pre-set ladder of unfamiliar higher doses carries more.
If you are weighing Mounjaro against other products, our guide to weight loss injection claims helps separate licensed treatments from marketing.
08 · What results to expect
What results can a course realistically deliver?
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.
To make that concrete, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.
At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2
Note the timescale: 72 weeks. A bundle covering two or three months is a small slice of that. Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest. Most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Think in months, not days, and judge progress by trend, not individual weigh-ins.
Is it normal to lose weight in the first week? Experiences differ widely. Some people notice appetite change and early loss in week one, and others feel little until a higher dose. Both are normal. Early loss includes water weight, so the trend over several weeks matters more than any one weigh-in.
How quickly does Mounjaro start working? The mechanism begins with the first dose. Tirzepatide activates two gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1, which help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve how the body responds to insulin.1 Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.
And what is the fastest way for a woman, or anyone, to lose weight? The licensed route is a medicine plus a reduced-calorie diet and more activity, with prescriber review. Anything promising dramatic weight-loss claims in a short time should be treated with suspicion, and the same applies to a bundle sold on speed.
Because tracking helps you judge a trend, our free GLPTrackr companion app (iOS and Android) lets you log your journey.
09 · Eligibility and NHS
Who can buy a bundle, and what about the NHS?
Nobody can buy Mounjaro, singly or as a bundle, without a prescription. Is a prescription required? Yes. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. If a seller offers to supply without a consultation or prescription, walk away.
Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1
A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable. Some people are told it is not right for them. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
On the NHS, Mounjaro is available, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.
If you are prescribed through the NHS, you pay the standard prescription charge in England of £9.90 per item where it applies, and you would not buy a bundle.
Wegovy access on the NHS runs through specialist weight-management services, so ask your GP.
People often ask about buying Mounjaro at supermarkets, such as Asda or Tesco. The right test for any seller is the same: a clinical consultation, a prescription and a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register.
Our own registration is GPhC 9012878. You can check it directly on the GPhC register.12
10 · Safety with multiple pens
Safety when you hold more than one pen
The main safety risk with bundles is not the medicine but where it comes from, and the second is using pens in ways they were not designed for. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified.7 Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.
Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites.12 Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. A suspiciously cheap multi-pen deal from an unregulated seller is the pattern to avoid.
Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked. Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, as genuine KwikPens.
A genuine pen comes from a registered pharmacy and arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been in use out of the fridge for more than 30 days. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.
Each pen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.
Wondering what to avoid while taking Mounjaro? Do not alter doses yourself, do not double up after a missed dose, and tell your prescriber about every medicine you take. If you notice a new symptom, discuss it with your prescriber and report it through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.19 Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin or eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.
You may also meet brand-led names attached to weight loss jabs online. Our pages on the Zap weight loss injection and the Zantac weight loss injection explain how such labels relate to licensed treatment.
11 · Storing pens
Storing several pens at home
Keep Mounjaro pens in a fridge at 2–8°C and never freeze them. That is the first rule when a delivery brings more than one pen, and it matters most for pens you are not yet using.1
Once a pen is in use, it can be kept out of the fridge not above 30°C for up to 30 days, which is useful for short trips, after which it should be discarded. Keep the cap on to protect it from light, and never use a pen that has been frozen.13
Unopened pens should stay in the fridge until first use and keep until the expiry date printed on the box. If an unopened pen has been out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and the pharmacy before using it rather than relying on a remembered day limit. Figures circulating online often come from other countries' labels.
A practical tip with multiple pens: put the one you are using in front and note the expiry on each box. When your next pen arrives, check it is the dose you expect before storing it.
Travelling is straightforward. You can fly with Mounjaro. Carry pens in hand luggage, because hold luggage can fall below freezing, ideally in a cool bag with the prescription label or a copy of your prescription. In-use pens tolerate up to 30 days not above 30°C, so most holidays need no special arrangements, and for hot climates an insulated pouch helps. Check destination rules for travelling with prescription injectables before you fly.
How you use each pen is also the same whatever the bundle. Mounjaro is injected under the skin once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without food. Licensed sites are the stomach area (at least 5cm from the belly button), the front of the thigh, or the back of the upper arm if someone else gives the injection. Rotate the site with each dose.
You set the dose by turning the knob until the correct dose shows in the window.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours) of the scheduled time. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next one on your normal day. Never take two doses within 3 days of each other. You can change your injection day if at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since your last dose. There is no best time of day, only a consistent one.
