A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
Check the GPhC register first: a legitimate UK online clinic or pharmacy has a registration number you can verify.
-
Every GLP-1 prescription should follow a consultation reviewed by a prescriber, with the right to be declined.
-
Across the UK pharmacies we track, the same-dose price gap between providers runs from £27 to £41.
-
Look past the first-month price: ask about dose increases, repeat-order cost, delivery and follow-up reviews.
-
Trial averages do not predict your own result, and treatment works alongside diet and activity.

01 · The decision
How to choose an online weight loss clinic for GLP-1 medications
Choose a clinic by its regulation, its clinical process and its transparency, not by its position in a ranking. Many 'best of 2026' lists are US-led, rank telehealth programmes that do not operate in the UK, or are paid placements. A UK reader needs a different test.
| What to check | What good looks like | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Regulation | A GPhC registration number you can look up on the public register12 | No number, or a number that does not match the business |
| Prescriber review | Your answers are reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, and you can be declined | Anyone is approved; the process is only a checkout |
| Supply | The source of the medicine is stated, such as official LillyDirect supply | Vague sourcing, unbranded vials, 'compounded' versions of Mounjaro |
| Pricing | The price shown is the price paid, with the date it was checked | Hidden consultation, delivery or 'membership' fees |
| Aftercare | Monthly reviews, dose-titration support and side-effect advice | One-off sale with no follow-up |
| Contract | No subscription lock-in; repeat orders re-check suitability | Auto-shipping you must cancel |
If a clinic fails the first two rows, stop there. The remaining rows separate a safe clinic from a good one.
02 · Our service
How EverydayMeds measures up against that checklist
We are a GPhC-registered UK online pharmacy (registration 9012878), so you can verify us on the public register before you share anything. We are a full pharmacy covering weight loss, sexual health, hair loss and acid reflux, not a single-product shop.
Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, as genuine KwikPens. All six doses are in stock. The Mounjaro pen costs £169.99 per month at 2.5mg, £218.99 at 5mg and £279.99 at 7.5mg. Higher doses are £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg.
New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40, at any dose. An automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). The consultation is free and reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
You can start your free consultation with no obligation. Delivery is free next-day tracked DPD in temperature-controlled packaging, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm.
03 · Cost
What GLP-1 treatment costs over a year
A clinic's monthly headline price tells you less than its cost across titration and maintenance. Mounjaro starts at 2.5mg and steps up, so your spending changes as the dose does. Planning at standard prices, before any discount:
| Phase | Length | Pens | Standard cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| First year, settling at 5mg | 52 weeks | 13 | £2,711.88 |
| First year, settling at 15mg | 52 weeks | 13 | £3,599.88 |
A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less. For maintenance at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg, use the monthly prices (£279.99, £290.99, £319.99) to build your own estimate.
Across the UK pharmacies we track (checked 10 October 2026), the cheapest 2.5mg starting pen is £143.96 and the dearest is £179.99. Boots' Mounjaro dose prices run from £179.00 to £339.00. Compare like for like: same dose, same delivery terms, same follow-up.
04 · Why prices differ
Why GLP-1 prices differ between clinics
Mounjaro prices differ because suppliers negotiate confidential discounts and clinics decide how much to pass on. Eli Lilly announced a UK list-price increase on 14 August 2025, effective 1 September 2025.
Pharmacy sell prices therefore vary. Across the UK pharmacies we track, the gap between providers for the same dose ranges from £27 to £41. A low price is not a warning sign in itself, but a price far below what anyone else charges, with no prescription asked for, is.
Wegovy is the other main injectable. A first Wegovy pen starts at £99.99 as a first-order price, and you can see the Wegovy pen for current terms. Check availability at the time of order.
05 · What the evidence shows
What the trial evidence says about GLP-1 weight loss
SURMOUNT-1 was a trial of 2,539 adults. People taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages and individual results vary.
| SURMOUNT-1 result at 72 weeks | 5mg | 10mg | 15mg |
|---|---|---|---|
| Average weight lost | 15% | 19.5% | 20.9% |
| Lost at least 5% of body weight | 85% | 89% | 91% |
Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. That is straight arithmetic on a trial average, not a forecast for you, and trial averages do not predict your own result.
Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2 A clinic that promises specific results or a timescale is a clinic to avoid.
06 · How GLP-1 medicines work
How Mounjaro works and how it differs
Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose KwikPen in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1
Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve the way the body responds to insulin. Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1 This dual action distinguishes it from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy and Ozempic).
Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. Nothing speeds this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1
Our guides to GLP-1 medications for weight loss and the wider GLP-1 medications range explain the options in more depth.
07 · Who is eligible
Who can be prescribed GLP-1 medication
Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1
A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable. A good clinic will sometimes say no, and that is a sign the process is real.
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.
08 · Safety and interactions
Safety, interactions and counterfeit risk
Because Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, it can affect how quickly some oral medicines are absorbed, particularly when you start treatment or increase the dose. Tell your prescriber about everything you take, especially warfarin or other narrow-margin medicines, insulin, or sulfonylureas, where doses may need reducing to avoid low blood sugar. No adjustment is needed for paracetamol.13
The medicine can also reduce absorption of oral contraceptives because stomach emptying slows. The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. Report any suspected side effect through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.19
Counterfeit and unlicensed products are a real risk when buying GLP-1 medicines online. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts.7 Avoid any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, and any seller who cannot show a GPhC registration.

How ordering works with us: first, complete a free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge or obligation. Second, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it; payment is taken when you place the order, and if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Third, our registered pharmacy dispenses and dispatches, with free next-day tracked delivery. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order, and monthly reviews are included.
How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
