01 · Decision

Where to get weight loss injections in Aberdeen

Aberdeen has private clinics and hospitals offering in-person consultations, and online pharmacies offer a remote alternative. If you want a doctor who understands diabetes, ask any provider whether the prescriber will coordinate with your diabetes team. Our Aberdeen Mounjaro guide and private Mounjaro prescription for Aberdeen cover the local picture.

02 · Cost

What Mounjaro costs with us

The Mounjaro pen costs £169.99 at 2.5mg as a standard price. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices.

03 · Ordering

How ordering works

Start with a free online consultation: a short health questionnaire with no charge or obligation. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, and unsuitable orders are refunded automatically. Approved orders are dispensed by our registered pharmacy, with same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm and free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging. We hold official LillyDirect supply, and all six doses are in stock.

04 · Diabetes and eligibility

Are diabetics eligible for weight loss injections?

Yes, people with type 2 diabetes can be assessed. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1 A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines.

Mounjaro is also licensed for type 2 diabetes, where it improves blood sugar control (HbA1c) and supports weight loss. Treatment and monitoring are coordinated differently, so tell your prescriber and your usual diabetes team.1

05 · NHS or private

Can diabetics or GP patients get Mounjaro on the NHS?

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.4 Full rollout is expected to take years, so many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment. Ask your GP about local arrangements in Scotland.

06 · What results to expect

What results to expect

In SURMOUNT-1, 2,539 adults taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, versus 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. These are trial averages and individual results vary.

Everyone starts on 2.5mg weekly, rising after at least 4 weeks to 5mg and then in 2.5mg steps up to 15mg, depending on response and tolerability.1 Our doctor-led weight loss injections page explains the review process.

07 · Safe supply

Choosing a safe provider

Check any pharmacy on the GPhC register; ours is registration 9012878.12 Avoid anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK, and fake pens have caused hospitalisations.7 Our aftercare includes monthly reviews and dose-titration follow-up, and repeat orders re-check suitability. Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines. You can also compare our Glasgow service. Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Where can I get weight loss injections in Aberdeen?
You can attend a private clinic or hospital in Aberdeen for an in-person consultation, or use a GPhC-registered online pharmacy. Whichever you choose, a prescriber should assess your BMI, history and medicines first. Our Mounjaro Aberdeen service starts with a free online consultation.
Are diabetics eligible for weight loss injections?
Often yes. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 to 30 with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines, and you should tell your diabetes team.
Can diabetics get Mounjaro on the NHS?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition. Ask your GP or diabetes team what applies to you.
Can I get Mounjaro from my GP in Scotland?
NHS access to Mounjaro is being phased in over several years, with the highest-need groups first. Your GP can tell you whether you qualify locally. If you do not yet qualify, regulated private treatment is an alternative after a prescriber assessment.
Can my GP prescribe Mounjaro privately?
Some GPs offer private prescribing and others do not, so ask your practice directly. Alternatively, a GPhC-registered online prescriber can assess you through our free consultation. Tell your GP and diabetes team about any treatment you start.
What is a cheaper alternative to Mounjaro, UK?
Low-cost supplements are available cheaply without assessment, but they carry no clinical oversight and are not equivalent to a licensed medicine. Wegovy is another licensed injectable, and Saxenda (liraglutide) is a daily injection; your prescriber can advise what suits you.
