What new weight loss tablets are coming to the UK?
Two once-daily oral GLP-1 tablets are in late-stage UK development. They work on the same GLP-1 pathway as the injections Wegovy and Mounjaro — helping reduce appetite and support weight loss — but as a tablet you swallow, with no needles and no fridge storage.
Oral semaglutide (Foundayo), from Novo Nordisk, uses the same active molecule as Wegovy. It is currently under MHRA review and is the furthest along of the two — the closest to a UK launch. Orforglipron, from Eli Lilly, is a different kind of medicine — a non-peptide, small-molecule GLP-1. It has completed Phase 3 trials, with a UK regulatory filing expected during 2026.

Oral GLP-1 pricing will be confirmed at launch. Live pricing shown at consultation takes precedence. Prescription-only — all decisions are made by a UK-registered prescriber.

Where to Buy Alli Online in the UK
EverydayMeds is a GPhC-registered online pharmacy based in Leicester, offering convenient access to orlistat weight loss treatments across the United Kingdom. Following an online clinical assessment by UK-licensed prescribers, you can order Alli and prescription-strength orlistat with discreet delivery to your address. Our regulated service eliminates the need for a separate GP appointment, with the prescription included in your treatment price.
Orlistat Treatment Options and Pricing
We stock three orlistat options to suit different needs and budgets. Orlistat 120mg (generic) offers the most cost-effective option from £15.20 with EDM10, providing identical clinical effects to branded alternatives. Xenical 120mg, the original branded version by Roche, is available from £19.35 with EDM10. For those preferring a lower-strength option, Alli 60mg starts from £26.09 with EDM10. All treatments work by blocking approximately one third of dietary fat absorption when used alongside a reduced-calorie, lower-fat diet.
Complete Online Ordering Process
Ordering orlistat through EverydayMeds is straightforward and secure. Complete our online health questionnaire covering your medical history, current medications, and weight management goals. A UK-licensed prescriber reviews your information and issues a prescription where clinically appropriate. Once approved, your treatment is dispensed by our registered pharmacy team and dispatched with tracked delivery. Most orders qualify for next day delivery across the UK, arriving in discreet packaging.
Clinical Assessment and Suitability
Orlistat may be suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 kg/m² or above, or 28 kg/m² or above with weight-related health conditions such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. Our prescribers assess each application individually, considering your medical history and current health status. Treatment suitability depends on various factors, and not everyone will be eligible for orlistat therapy.
Maximising Your Treatment Success
Orlistat works most effectively when combined with dietary and lifestyle changes. Keep meals low in fat (approximately 15g per meal) to minimise gastrointestinal side effects and maximise weight management benefits. Take one capsule with each main meal containing fat, up to three times daily. A daily multivitamin taken at bedtime is recommended, as orlistat may reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. Regular physical activity and ongoing dietary support enhance long-term success.

The honest unknowns
We're a pharmacy, not a fortune-teller. Here's what we genuinely don't know yet — and we'll update the moment we do.
Manufacturers haven't set UK prices for oral GLP-1. We'll publish ours — and honour waitlist launch pricing — as soon as supply terms are confirmed.
Oral semaglutide is under MHRA review with an estimated H2 2026 window, but regulators set the date — not us. Anyone promising a firm day right now is guessing.
Whether oral GLP-1 is offered on the NHS, and to whom, will be decided separately by NICE and local services. We'll signpost the criteria when they're published.
Trial averages suggest injections currently edge ahead on weight loss, but head-to-head, real-world data is still maturing. We won't overstate the tablet.
