A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Clearpay is not among the payment methods we list; Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options are.
  • Mounjaro is prescription-only, so no payment method replaces the free online consultation and prescriber review.
  • The standard 2.5mg pen is £169.99 per month; new customers save £40 on a first order with code FIRST40.
  • There are no subscriptions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
  • Buy-now-pay-later is still borrowing: read the lender's terms before using it for any treatment.
In this guide

01 · Payment

Can you use Clearpay for Mounjaro?

At EverydayMeds, Clearpay is not a payment method we list. Our approved payment options are Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there is no subscription lock-in.

You may also find our pages on whether you can use Mounjaro on Clearpay.

Providers elsewhere may take different payment methods, and some third-party sites imply they do without confirming it. A retailer's wording is not proof. Whoever you choose, confirm in writing that the pharmacy is on the GPhC register and that a prescriber reviews you before anything is dispensed.

02 · What works instead

Ways to spread or reduce the cost with us

If your aim is to avoid paying a large sum in one go, there are three practical routes with us. First, Klarna and pay-monthly options are available at checkout. Second, new customers save £40 on their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. Third, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25).

Because each pen lasts four weeks, you pay pen by pen rather than for a long course up front. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). Switching from another provider at 15mg? Your first order is £289.99. Every later order is £25 off the standard price.

Buy-now-pay-later is borrowing, even when it is interest-free if you pay on time. Missed payments can carry fees and affect your credit record, and a treatment that continues for months can leave you owing on one pen while buying the next. Read the lender's own terms rather than relying on a summary, including ours. You can compare other routes on our pages about buying Mounjaro with Clearpay online and paying for Mounjaro on Clearpay.

03 · Planning

What Mounjaro costs over the first year

If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices, before discounts. A first new-customer order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less.

Planning scenarioStandard price, before discounts
Starting pen, 2.5mg (4 weeks)£169.99 per month
First year (13 pens), settling at 5mg£2,711.88
First year (13 pens), settling at 15mg£3,599.88
Maintenance at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg£279.99, £290.99 or £319.99 per month

Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens are £143.96 and £339.00, checked 12 October 2026. For the 2.5mg starting pen, providers range from £143.96 to £179.99.

You can see live prices for every dose on the Mounjaro pen page, where all six doses are in stock.

04 · Prescription first

Payment never replaces the prescription

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. How you pay does not change that. Any site suggesting you can check out with a buy-now-pay-later method and receive pens without an assessment is offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, which is a red flag.

Our consultation is free, with no obligation. The prescriber looks at your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether treatment is suitable. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. That is a very different position from paying first and hoping for approval later.

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injection made by Eli Lilly. It is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes, and comes as a pre-filled multi-dose KwikPen in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Our weight loss clinic explains the wider service.

05 · Who is eligible

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro

Eligibility is clinical, not financial. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1

A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you. If the prescriber decides treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

06 · NHS or private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly.

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. If you are wondering about paying by instalments on the NHS side, see our page on Clearpay and NHS Mounjaro. Ask your GP whether you fall into a current NHS group.

07 · What to expect

What the trial evidence says

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages and individual results vary.

For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Trial averages do not predict your own result, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight.2

Your prescriber guides titration at your monthly reviews.

08 · Buying safely

Buying safely, whatever the payment method

Check the pharmacy before you pay. A genuine UK online pharmacy appears on the GPhC register, and ours is registered under 9012878.12 The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts, and you can report suspected problems through the Yellow Card scheme.7

We supply through official LillyDirect: Mounjaro direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, as genuine KwikPens. Orders ordered by 3pm are dispatched the same day, with free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order.

Be wary of anyone who offers heavily discounted pens through social media, or who cannot show a prescriber review. If a seller asks you to pay by a route that bypasses a consultation, walk away.

09 · How ordering works

How ordering works

Ordering takes three steps.

  • Free online consultation: a short health questionnaire, no charge and no obligation.
  • Prescriber review: a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. If the order is unsuitable it is refunded automatically.
  • Dispensing and delivery: our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen, and delivery is free next day.

Ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and side-effect support are included. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing ships automatically. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, account portal chat or phone on 0333 207 0413. You can also track your journey with the free GLPTrackr app. You can also read about weight loss injections and Clearpay, or about where to buy Mounjaro from us.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can you use Clearpay for Mounjaro?
Clearpay is not among the payment options EverydayMeds lists. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, with no subscription. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Check the checkout for the methods available when you order.
Does EverydayMeds accept Clearpay?
No, it is not one of our listed payment methods. Our approved options are Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options. If you saw a claim that we accept Clearpay, treat the checkout as the final word. You can read more on our page about whether you can use Mounjaro on Clearpay.
What can I use instead of Clearpay for Mounjaro?
You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, use Klarna, or choose a pay-monthly option. New customers also save £40 on a first order with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). Each pen lasts four weeks, so you pay pen by pen.
How much is a Mounjaro pen per month?
The standard 2.5mg starting pen is £169.99 per month, and the 5mg pen is £218.99. Prices rise with dose, up to the 15mg pen at £329.99. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less. Prices checked 12 October 2026.
Do I need a prescription if I pay by instalments?
Yes. Mounjaro is prescription-only however you pay. You complete a free online consultation, and a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it before anything is dispensed. Anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription should be avoided, whatever payment method they accept.
Is buy now pay later a good way to fund weight loss treatment?
It can spread a cost, but it is still borrowing. Missed payments may carry fees and affect your credit record, and treatment continues for months, so instalments can overlap with your next pen. Read the lender's terms, and consider the full-year cost: £2,711.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,599.88 at 15mg, before discounts.
Can I get Mounjaro on the NHS instead?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition, and the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first. Ask your GP whether you currently qualify.
What happens if my consultation is declined?
Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Refunds take 5 to 10 working days.
