A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Our six Mounjaro doses are in stock, sourced through official LillyDirect supply direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.
  • Eli Lilly raised the UK list price on 1 September 2025; that is a documented cost change, separate from any question of availability.
  • Stock can differ between pharmacies, so confirm availability with your provider before you plan around a refill date.
  • Do not stockpile: repeat orders re-check suitability and there is no auto-shipping, so order when you need the next pen.
  • A 2.5mg pen is £169.99 per month at standard price; new customers save £40 on a first order with code FIRST40.
In this guide

01 · Where things stand

Are there supply issues with Mounjaro right now?

For orders placed with us, all six doses are in stock. We supply genuine KwikPens through official LillyDirect, which means Mounjaro comes direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution rather than through a chain of resellers.

If a page tells you Mounjaro is "back to normal" everywhere, or "unavailable" everywhere, treat it with caution. Availability is set pharmacy by pharmacy, and it can change between your consultation and your order. The practical rule is simple: ask your provider about the specific dose you need, at the time you need it.

  • Manufacturer-level supply: whether Eli Lilly can make and ship enough pens.
  • Pharmacy-level availability: whether one provider holds the dose you need today. This varies by provider.
  • Price: what you pay. Eli Lilly's list-price increase took effect on 1 September 2025, and it changed what many people can afford more than it changed what exists on shelves.10

02 · Cost

What Mounjaro costs while you plan around supply

The standard price of one 4-week Mounjaro pen starts at £169.99 for 2.5mg, then £218.99 for 5mg, £279.99 for 7.5mg, £290.99 for 10mg, £319.99 for 12.5mg and £329.99 for 15mg. New customers save £40 on their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including people switching to us at a higher dose. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25).

Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens sit at £143.96 and £339.00 per month, depending on dose and provider (checked 10 October 2026). For the same dose, the gap between providers ranges from £27 to £41. Because stock and price both vary by provider, it is worth comparing the two together rather than chasing the lowest number alone.

Planning ahead matters for budgeting too. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, before discounts. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less.

03 · Ordering

How ordering works with us

Ordering takes three steps. First, complete the free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation. Second, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Third, our registered pharmacy dispenses and dispatches, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm.

Delivery is free, next-day and tracked with DPD in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. Payment is by Visa or Mastercard, Klarna or pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions.

You can start your free consultation now, or browse all weight loss treatments if you are still deciding what suits you. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0333 207 0413 or at support@everydaymeds.co.uk if you need to check availability of a specific dose first.

04 · Types of supply problem

What "supply chain issues" can actually mean

A supply chain issue is any break between a medicine being made and it reaching a patient, and for Mounjaro the break can happen at several different points. Understanding which one you are facing changes what you should do about it.

The first type is manufacturer-level. This is where the maker cannot produce or release enough product to meet demand. It is the most serious kind, because switching pharmacy does not solve it.

The second type is distribution-level. Medicines move from the manufacturer through distribution to pharmacies. If a pharmacy buys through intermediaries rather than directly, a delay or shortfall at any step can leave it without a particular strength. This is one reason we emphasise our route: official LillyDirect supply, which is Mounjaro direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

The third type is pharmacy-level. One provider may simply run low on one dose, perhaps because many of its customers are due a particular step-up at the same time. That is a local gap, and another regulated pharmacy may hold the pen you need. Because KwikPens are dosed in six distinct strengths, a shortage of one strength does not mean a shortage of all.

The fourth type is not a supply problem at all: price. When the cost of a medicine rises sharply, fewer people can fund it, providers adjust what they order, and the experience can feel like scarcity even though the product exists. The practical result is that "I cannot get it" sometimes really means "I cannot get it at a price I can sustain".

05 · The September 2025 price rise

The September 2025 list-price increase

Eli Lilly announced a UK list-price increase for Mounjaro on 14 August 2025, effective 1 September 2025. This is a documented change to price rather than to whether the medicine can be made.

Price and supply are easily confused. When a list price changes, pharmacies reassess what they stock and at what price they can sell. Customers who had planned to buy ahead, or who compared prices across providers, may have found a different picture from one week to the next.

Pharmacy sell prices also differ from list prices because of confidential discounts, so the headline list figure is not what any given pharmacy necessarily charges. That is why we show our own prices live. Our standard pen prices run from £169.99 at 2.5mg up to £329.99 at 15mg.

For comparison, the pharmacies we track show a range across all doses and providers from £143.96 to £339.00 per month (index checked 10 October 2026). The cheapest and dearest 2.5mg starting pens in that index are £143.96 and £179.99. If you are comparing, always compare like with like: same dose, same pen, same four-week supply.

Another point worth stating plainly is that a high list price is not the same as a shortage, and a low price from a seller is not evidence of genuine product. If a price looks far below everyone else's, the sensible response is suspicion, not excitement. Check that the seller is on the GPhC register, which you can do through the public register at the General Pharmaceutical Council.12

A final practical consequence: a new-customer discount of £40 on your first order with code FIRST40 applies at any dose, so if you are changing provider while on a higher dose, you can still use it. After that, every later order is £25 off the standard price. Understanding where your money goes over a full year is more useful than reacting to a single month's price.

06 · How our supply works

How our LillyDirect supply works

Our supply route is official LillyDirect, meaning we source Mounjaro directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution and dispense genuine KwikPens. All six doses, 2.5mg to 15mg, are stocked, and right now they are in stock.

A direct route matters for two reasons. First, it shortens the chain between manufacturer and patient, which reduces the number of places a gap can open up. Second, it makes provenance clear: you are receiving a genuine pen from a GPhC-registered pharmacy (registration 9012878) rather than something passed through unknown hands.

Once a prescriber approves your order, your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy. Same-day dispatch applies when you order by 3pm. Delivery is free, next-day and tracked, using DPD with discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order, so you are not left sourcing extras.

Repeat orders re-check suitability. There is no auto-shipping, so nothing is sent unless you have asked for it and a prescriber has confirmed it is still right for you. That also means you stay in control of timing. The practical advice is to reorder when your current pen is approaching its end, not to build a store of spare pens.

Aftercare is included: ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and follow-up assessments by the prescribing team, plus side-effect support. If you have a question about whether the next dose is available before you reorder, our team can be reached Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0333 207 0413, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, or through the chat in your account portal.

If you track your treatment, GLPTrackr is our free companion app for iOS and Android, and it can help you see when your next pen is due so you reorder at a sensible time. Lastly, over 100,000 customers have been supported on their weight loss journey with us; that is a measure of customers served, not a statement about results.

07 · If your pharmacy runs short

What to do if your pharmacy cannot supply your dose

If your pharmacy cannot supply your dose, start by asking exactly what is unavailable and when they expect it, then decide whether to wait or move provider. Do not guess, and do not take a shortcut that puts your health at risk.

First, ask specific questions. Which strength is short? Is it a delay of days or something open-ended? Will they hold your order? Vague answers are a signal to look elsewhere. Remember that a gap in one strength does not mean the whole range is affected.

Second, if you move to another regulated provider, do it through a proper consultation. A new prescriber needs to know your current dose, how you have been tolerating it and your medical history so they can decide what is suitable. Do not assume you can restart at a high dose without that review. Keep your last order details to hand, as they speed things up. If you are switching to us, our free consultation covers this, and the new-customer discount applies at any dose.

Third, be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Counterfeit medicine alerts are published by the MHRA, so if a deal seems too good or a seller seems vague about where its pens come from, walk away.7 You can confirm that any pharmacy is genuinely registered on the public GPhC register.12

Fourth, do not improvise your own schedule. If you are worried about a missed or delayed dose, speak to your prescriber. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can within 4 days (96 hours) of the scheduled time; if more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your normal day, and never take two doses within 3 days of each other.

Fifth, report anything unusual. If you suspect a pen is not genuine or you experience a side effect, the MHRA Yellow Card scheme is the route for reporting it.19

Sixth, think about what a longer gap means. Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system; there is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1 If you face a longer gap, speak to your prescriber.

08 · Eligibility and NHS access

Who can use Mounjaro, and the NHS picture

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1 It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.

Eligibility, not stock, is the first gate. A pharmacy with plenty of pens still cannot supply you unless a prescriber has reviewed you and decided Mounjaro is appropriate. Likewise, a pen being available at a low price elsewhere does not change whether it is right for you.

On the NHS, Mounjaro is available, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

If you are on NHS treatment and hit a supply problem at your local pharmacy, speak to your GP or the prescribing service before taking any step of your own. They manage that supply route and can advise on your options. The NHS also publishes general information on the medicine.5

If you are on private treatment, the same principles apply but you hold the relationship with the pharmacy. Our prescribing team handle ongoing monthly reviews, so your dose is checked against how you are getting on, not simply repeated. Repeat orders re-check suitability each time.

Mounjaro is not suitable for everyone. You should not take it if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems. Always share your full medical history and medicine list during consultation. Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. That protects you from paying for something you cannot receive.

09 · How Mounjaro works

How Mounjaro works, and why continuity matters

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. It is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes, and comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen in six strengths.1

Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1 This dual action is what distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).

The medicine is designed to be stepped up gradually, dose by dose, and the pen strengths exist for that purpose. A shortage of one strength can interrupt that plan, which is why you should talk to a prescriber rather than improvise.

On results, the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults found that people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. For a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 Trial averages do not predict your own result, and none of this should be read as a promise of what you will achieve.

If anything about your pen itself looks wrong, that is a separate issue from supply, and is worth checking against the patient information leaflet and with your pharmacy.13 You should discuss any new or worrying symptom with your prescriber, and report suspected side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.19 Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.

10 · Year-cost planning

Planning a year of treatment so a gap does not catch you out

The most reliable defence against supply and price surprises is knowing your likely costs for the full year and reordering on a sensible rhythm. All figures here are at standard prices before discounts, and a new customer's first order is £40 less, with every later order £25 less.

PhaseLengthPensStandard cost
First year, settling at 5mg52 weeks13£2,711.88
First year, settling at 15mg52 weeks13£3,599.88

If you settle at another maintenance dose, work from the monthly price instead: £279.99 for 7.5mg, £290.99 for 10mg or £319.99 for 12.5mg per four-week pen.

Switching at 15mg from another provider? Your first order is £289.99 with code FIRST40 as a first-order price, and every later order is £25 off the standard price. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99).

Payment can be spread: Visa and Mastercard, Klarna, or pay-monthly options are accepted, and there are no subscriptions, so you are never locked in if your circumstances or the market change. That flexibility matters more than a one-month price drop, because the cost of treatment is cumulative.

Are there other licensed options?

Wegovy (semaglutide) is the main licensed alternative we supply. Its first pen is £99.99 as a first-order price. Its pens are 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg once weekly, stepping up after 4 weeks on each of 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and 1.7mg, with the 2.4mg maintenance dose starting from week 17.18 Check availability at the time of order. Liraglutide (Saxenda, and products such as Erly) is a daily injection at 6mg per millilitre, unlike once-weekly Mounjaro and Wegovy. Your prescriber can advise on which suits you.

Low-cost supplements sold as "natural" alternatives carry no clinical oversight and dramatic weight-loss claims; they are not equivalent to a licensed medicine. Decisions on switching treatment should be made with a prescriber, never because of a price comparison alone.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Are there supply issues with Mounjaro?
For our customers, all six Mounjaro doses from 2.5mg to 15mg are in stock, supplied through official LillyDirect, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution. Availability can differ between providers and change over time. If you are planning a refill, ask your provider about your specific dose at the time you order, rather than relying on a general headline.
Is Mounjaro being discontinued?
It remains licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes, and it is supplied as a KwikPen in six strengths from 2.5mg to 15mg. If you see a claim that it is being withdrawn, check it against official sources such as the electronic medicines compendium and speak to your prescriber if you are worried about your treatment.
Who are the wholesale distributors of Mounjaro in the UK?
We do not publish a list of wholesale distributors. Our own supply route is official LillyDirect, meaning Mounjaro direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, with genuine KwikPens dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy (registration 9012878). If you want to check any seller, look them up on the public GPhC register, and be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.
How do I choose where to buy Mounjaro in the UK?
The right provider is a GPhC-registered pharmacy that reviews you properly, supplies genuine pens and tells you clearly what you will pay. Check the register, confirm the dose you need is available, and compare like with like. Across the UK pharmacies we track, pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month depending on dose and provider (checked 10 October 2026). Our free consultation costs nothing, and the price shown is the price paid.
Where can I find the cheapest Mounjaro in the UK?
Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest 2.5mg starting pen is £143.96 and the dearest is £179.99 per month (checked 10 October 2026). For the same dose, providers differ by £27 to £41. Our standard 2.5mg price is £169.99. Be suspicious of prices far below everyone else's, and always check GPhC registration.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Mounjaro, UK?
Wegovy (semaglutide) is a licensed alternative, with a first pen at £99.99 as a first-order price; check availability at the time of order. Liraglutide is a daily injection rather than weekly. Low-cost supplements are available cheaply without assessment but carry no clinical oversight and are not equivalent to a licensed medicine. Which treatment suits you is a decision for a prescriber, who will consider your BMI, medical history and current medicines.
What is the price of Mounjaro injection at Lloyds pharmacy?
Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month depending on dose and provider (checked 10 October 2026); check any pharmacy's current price directly with them. Our own standard pen prices run from £169.99 at 2.5mg to £329.99 at 15mg, and the live figures are on our product page.
Is Mounjaro going to be cheaper in the UK?
Pharmacy sell prices vary because of confidential discounts. The practical approach is to plan around today's price: new customers save £40 on a first order, and every later order is £25 off the standard price.
