In this guide

01 · Price per dose

What each Mounjaro dose costs

Each strength of Mounjaro is sold as one pen, and the price is per pen, not per injection. At EverydayMeds the Mounjaro pen costs £169.99 at 2.5mg, £189.99 at 5mg, £244.99 at 7.5mg, £274.99 at 10mg, £289.99 at 12.5mg and £299.99 at 15mg. All six doses are in stock.

Those are standard prices for one pen, which is what every repeat order is priced at before the reorder discount. Spread across the four injections in a pen, the weekly equivalents are £42.50 at 2.5mg, £47.50 at 5mg, £61.25 at 7.5mg, £68.75 at 10mg, £72.50 at 12.5mg and £75.00 at 15mg. Weekly figures are useful for budgeting, but you always buy a full pen.

Discounts are applied on top. A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. After that, every future order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with the code, against a standard price of £169.99. Switching at 15mg? Your first order is £259.99. You can see the current values in our Mounjaro discount code guide.

The price shown is the price paid. The consultation is free, delivery is free next-day tracked, and there are no hidden fees. Saturday delivery is available for £14.99.

02 · Total cost

What you pay over titration and over a year

The total cost of Mounjaro depends on how far up the dose ladder you go, because everyone starts at 2.5mg and moves up only as far as is right for them. The first four pens (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg and 10mg) cost £879.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less.

StagePensWeeksStandard-price total
First four pens (2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg), if you step up after 4 weeks on each dose416£879.96
First year, settling at 5mg1352£2,399.88
First year, settling at 15mg1352£3,279.88
Settling at 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg1 per month4 per pen£244.99, £274.99 or £289.99 per month

In other words, a first year costs £2,399.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,279.88 at 15mg, before discounts. For anyone settling at another dose, use that dose's monthly price rather than either year figure. Our what's the price of Mounjaro page walks through the same numbers in a different order.

03 · NHS or private

NHS or private: which route costs what

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

If you pay privately, the cost is the medicine itself, so the pen price is the main figure to plan around. If you want to check whether you are likely to qualify for the NHS route, your GP is the right first contact. If you decide to go private, start your free consultation and a GPhC-registered prescriber will review your suitability; if the treatment is not suitable, your order is refunded automatically in full.

04 · Why price rises with dose

Why the price rises with each dose

Everyone starts Mounjaro on 2.5mg once a week. After at least 4 weeks the dose increases to 5mg, and can then step up by 2.5mg at a minimum of 4-week intervals (7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg) up to a maximum of 15mg weekly, depending on how you respond and tolerate it.1 Your prescriber sets the pace, so the dose increases, and therefore the cost, are decided by your response rather than by a fixed schedule.

Higher is not automatically better. Many people settle at a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg.1 For a closer look at how the strengths differ, see the difference in Mounjaro doses, or read the Mounjaro stages guide for how people typically move through them.

05 · Dose by dose planning

Dose by dose: what you are paying for

The 2.5mg pen at £169.99 is the starter dose. This starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself.1 It is the lowest-cost month, and you will usually only need it once.

The 5mg pen at £189.99 is the first step up and, for some people, the dose they stay on. In SURMOUNT-1, a trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. Individual results vary.2 Trial averages do not predict your own result.

The 7.5mg pen at £244.99 and the 10mg pen at £274.99 sit in the middle of the ladder. On 10mg the same trial reported an average loss of 19.5%.2 The 12.5mg pen costs £289.99, and the 15mg pen, the top licensed dose, costs £299.99. On 15mg the average was 20.9%, and 57% of participants on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.

These are different pens at different prices, and the trial figures describe average results across groups, not what any dose will do for you. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2

06 · Spreading and lowering cost

How to get Mounjaro cheaper, safely

The safe ways to lower your cost are discounts and paying in instalments. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40, and an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25).

We accept Visa and Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions and no auto-shipping, so you decide each month whether to reorder. Our Mounjaro spread the cost page explains the instalment routes in more detail.

07 · Avoiding counterfeit pens

Why a low price should never mean an unverified seller

A suspiciously low Mounjaro price is a warning sign, not a bargain. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register12, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. Our GPhC registration number is 9012878.

A genuine UK pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been in use out of the fridge for more than 30 days. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.13

08 · Value and review points

Judging value: pace of results and review points

Mounjaro weight loss is gradual by design, so value is judged over months, not weeks. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase and losses are usually modest. Most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Trials measured results at 72 weeks, so think in months, not days, and judge progress by trend rather than individual weigh-ins.12

Your prescriber reviews your response. If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you.1 That review point is worth knowing before you budget for a full year, because treatment length is a clinical decision as well as a financial one.

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1 A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.

09 · How ordering works

How ordering works

Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

  • Free online consultation: a short health questionnaire, no charge and no obligation.
  • Prescriber review: your answers are reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, not a scoring script. Unsuitable orders are refunded automatically.
  • Dispatch and delivery: your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy, with same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm, then sent by free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging.

Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Repeat orders re-check suitability each time. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0333 207 0413 or at support@everydaymeds.co.uk. You can also browse all weight loss treatments if you are weighing up options, or see Mounjaro doses in order to buy.

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Individual results vary. This page is information, not a substitute for medical advice.
