A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • A 3 month supply means three pens, each holding four weekly doses, so 12 weeks of treatment in total.
  • Standard pen prices run from £169.99 at 2.5mg to £329.99 at 15mg, per month, before discounts.
  • Which three doses you need depends on your treatment stage, so a prescriber reviews every order before anything is dispensed.
  • If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices.
  • Buy only from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register; fake weight-loss pens have caused hospitalisations.

01 · Cost

What a 3 month supply of Mounjaro costs

A 3 month supply costs the sum of three monthly pens, and each pen's price depends on its strength. At standard prices a pen costs £169.99 at 2.5mg, £218.99 at 5mg, £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg. Each figure is for one 4-week pen. You can see all six on the Mounjaro pen page, which updates live.

New customers save £40 on their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). For a detailed look at what three pens add up to, see our three-month price breakdown and the full cost guide.

Which three doses you need depends on where you are in treatment, and that is what separates a sensible 3 month supply from a random bulk buy. Someone starting out begins at 2.5mg. Someone settled on a maintenance dose may need three pens of the same strength.

SituationWhat three pens usually look likeWhere to see the price

Switching to us at a higher dose? Your first order is £40 less than standard, so a first 15mg pen is £289.99. That is a first-order price only. Later pens are the standard price less £25.

02 · What you get

What the price includes

The price shown is the price paid, and the consultation is free. There are no hidden fees. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Delivery is free, next-day and tracked with DPD in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.

Your Mounjaro comes from official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, as genuine KwikPens. Ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration support and side-effect help from the prescribing team are part of the service. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or Klarna, and there are pay-monthly options. There is no subscription, and repeat orders re-check your suitability rather than shipping automatically.

03 · How ordering works

How ordering works in three steps

Ordering takes three steps, and a prescriber reviews every order before anything is dispensed. First, complete the free online consultation, a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation, via our consultation page. Second, a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Third, our registered pharmacy dispenses and dispatches your pen, with free next-day tracked delivery.

If you want several months arranged together, our guides to three-pen bundles and multi-month supply options explain what is available. Your prescriber has the final say on which doses suit you at the time you order. You can browse other options on our weight loss treatments page.

04 · What 3 months of pens covers

What three pens actually cover

Three Mounjaro pens cover 12 weeks of weekly injections, because each KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses.1 Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1

So a 3 month supply is simple arithmetic: three pens, twelve injections, one a week. The strength can be the same on all three pens or can step up. That depends on your stage of treatment and on how you tolerate each dose.

Once you have started using a pen, it is licensed for up to 30 days (not above 30°C) out of the fridge. That fits a four-week pen with a little margin. Unopened pens stay in the fridge until first use and keep until the printed expiry date. If you ever need to know about an unopened pen out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and ask the pharmacy.13 Because storage is straightforward, holding three pens at once is workable for most people. You need fridge space for the spare pens, and you should keep track of which one is in use.

Why choose three months in one go? Some people like the certainty of having a quarter's treatment arranged. Others value fewer individual orders. The other side is that three pens at one strength assume you will stay on that strength. If a dose is not tolerated, or your prescriber wants to adjust it, a pen already bought for a higher dose may not suit you. This is why the prescriber decides which doses you receive at each review, and why we do not push a fixed bulk pack.

Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve how the body responds to insulin.1 Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. Nothing needs doing while it clears, and there is no way to speed it up.1 If you stopped partway through a three-pen order, the medicine's effect would not end the same day, but a leftover pen could not simply be saved for later without care over storage and expiry.

If you are weighing two months against three, our page on a two-month supply sets out the shorter option. For other medicines in the same class, the GLP-1 three-month guide compares how multi-month supply works more broadly.

05 · Eligibility and consultation

Who can buy Mounjaro for three months

You can buy Mounjaro only if a prescriber judges it suitable for you, and three months of supply makes no difference to that rule. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1

A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether Mounjaro is suitable.11 That is the clinical heart of the service. Our consultation is free, short and has no obligation. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.

Why does this matter for a bulk purchase? Because suitability can change. A new medicine, a change in health or a side effect that does not settle can all alter the right dose or the right decision. Repeat orders re-check your suitability, with no auto-shipping, so a previous approval does not carry on indefinitely. If you are asking for a three-pen supply, expect the prescriber to consider whether that quantity matches your stage of treatment.

Be wary of any seller who offers three months of Mounjaro without a consultation or prescription. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation. It is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Skipping that step is the clearest sign of an unsafe supplier.

Eligibility is also about the lifestyle side of treatment. The licence ties Mounjaro to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and the trial figures were gathered alongside both. Our aftercare includes monthly reviews and follow-up assessments by the prescribing team, so you are not left guessing how food, activity and dose fit together.

Finally, think about what you want from three months. If you want a defined course with a review at the end, a 12-week supply gives a natural checkpoint.

06 · What to expect by 3 months

What to expect after three months

After three months, most people are still on the lower rungs of the dose ladder, so weight loss is modest compared with headline trial figures. A sensible 3-month expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation. In SURMOUNT-1, average weight loss built month by month, with the full 15–21% averages measured at 72 weeks, not 12. Slower early progress does not predict failure, because the dose you respond to may still be ahead of you.2

It helps to see the trial in full. In SURMOUNT-1, 2,539 adults taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks. The comparison group, on lifestyle changes alone, lost 3.1%. These are trial averages and individual results vary. At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight.2 As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. That is the 72-week average at 15mg, not a three-month result.

Weight loss on Mounjaro is gradual by design. The first weeks on 2.5mg are an adjustment phase, and losses are usually modest. Most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward, month by month. Some people notice appetite change and early loss in week one, while others feel little until a higher dose. Both are normal. Early loss includes water weight, so judge progress by trend, not individual weigh-ins. Mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection are the commonest early effects and usually settle.1

Plateaus of a few weeks are normal too, as the body adapts to a lower weight. Within the licence, review your food intake honestly, because portions drift back up. Protect protein and activity, and check the basics such as sleep and alcohol. Discuss with your prescriber whether a dose step-up is appropriate if you are not yet at maximum. A plateau is not a reason to double doses or add unlicensed products.1

If you have lost less than 5% of your starting weight after 6 months on the highest dose you can tolerate, your prescriber will discuss whether continuing or stopping is right for you. So the end of a 12-week supply is a good time for a candid check-in. In trials, weight loss also came with average improvements in waist size, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood-sugar measures. These are trial-average secondary outcomes, not promises of what you will see.2

07 · Costs across a year

Planning the cost beyond three months

A first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg, at standard prices. Those totals cover 52 weeks, which is 13 pens. A 3 month supply is one quarter of that journey, so it helps to see the whole shape before you commit to any single order.

StagePens and weeksStandard cost
First year, settling at 5mg13 pens, 52 weeks£2,711.88
First year, settling at 15mg13 pens, 52 weeks£3,599.88

All of these are standard prices before discounts. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less. For other maintenance doses, plan from the monthly price: £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg and £319.99 at 12.5mg. These are monthly prices and should not be read as year costs.

How does this compare with the wider market? Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens at any dose run from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, as of our index checked 10 October 2026. The cheapest and dearest 2.5mg starting pens run from £143.96 to £179.99. For the same dose, the gap between providers ranges from £27 to £41. Boots' Mounjaro doses run from £179.00 to £339.00.

Eli Lilly announced a UK list-price increase for Mounjaro on 14 August 2025, effective 1 September 2025.

Payment can be spread. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Klarna, and there are pay-monthly options, with no subscription lock-in. If you are budgeting, the cleanest approach is to price the dose your prescriber expects you to reach, then multiply by the months you plan to stay on it. The 2.5mg price guide covers the starting rung in more detail.

08 · NHS versus private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

What does that mean for your decision? If you fall into an early NHS group, ask your GP about NHS access first. The NHS route has its own assessment, and supply there is not something we control. If you do not fall into an early group, or you prefer not to wait, private prescribing is a lawful alternative. The licence for private prescribing is wider than the early NHS groups. It covers adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or between 27 and 30 with a weight-related condition.

A three-month private supply makes the most sense when you have decided on treatment, have been assessed as suitable and want a predictable course. It is less suited to someone still unsure whether Mounjaro is right for them. In that case, one pen and a first review give you a more cautious start than three pens at once.

You might also wonder about switching between NHS and private. Keeping your prescriber informed of any other provider is good practice, and our prescribing team can discuss it at your monthly review.

In every case, the same safety rules apply. Mounjaro is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It is a prescription-only medicine. Individual results vary. If you are choosing between routes, the deciding factors are usually speed of access, cost, and how much ongoing support you want. Our service includes monthly clinical reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, and side-effect support from the prescribing team, which some people find useful alongside a private supply.

For a wider view of what is available, including other treatment options, see all weight loss treatments. Your prescriber can talk through what fits your health history.

09 · Buying safely

How to buy Mounjaro safely

The safest way to buy Mounjaro is from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, and the risk is higher when buying several pens at once. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7 Never buy from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites.

Check the pharmacy first. EverydayMeds is GPhC-registered, number 9012878, and you can look us up on the GPhC register.12 Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.3 Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

On arrival, check what you have received. A genuine UK pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date and arrives cold-chain packaged. The solution inside is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it or is past its expiry. Do not use one that has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use, or that has been above 30°C. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.7

Our delivery is free, next-day and tracked with DPD, in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. If a pen arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, contact us within 3 days. Dispensed prescription medicines cannot otherwise be returned. Refunds take 5–10 working days. Declined consultations are refunded automatically in full.

Bulk buying has one more safety angle. Three pens at once means more pens stored at home. Keep unopened pens in the fridge, label the one in use and note its first-use date. If you ever suspect a falsified or damaged pen, report it. The MHRA Yellow Card scheme accepts reports of suspected side effects and counterfeit concerns, and talking to your prescriber about new symptoms is always sensible.7

Finally, treat any offer that sounds too good as a warning. Sellers offering a 3 month supply with no consultation or prescription are not following the law. A genuine supplier will always ask about your health first, and will explain that a prescriber may decline your order.

10 · Storing and using pens

Storing and using three pens

Store unopened Mounjaro pens in the fridge until first use, and they keep until the printed expiry date. Once you start a pen, it is licensed for up to 30 days (not above 30°C) out of the fridge.13 For any question about an unopened pen that has been out of the fridge, read the patient information leaflet and ask the pharmacy rather than guessing a number of days. A sensible routine with three pens is to keep two in the fridge and one in use, noting the start date on the pen.

Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.1 Your order includes a sharps bin for exactly that reason.

Injection technique comes with the pen. Follow the pen's instructions for how to inject, and ask the prescribing team if anything is unclear. Needles and injection guidance are included with every order. Many people choose the same day each week, which makes the 12 injections across three pens easier to track. The free GLPTrackr companion app, on iOS and Android, can help you log doses and follow your journey.

Common early effects include mild nausea, altered appetite and tiredness in the first days after each injection, and these usually settle. If you have a symptom that worries you, or something new appears, speak to your prescriber and consider reporting it through the Yellow Card scheme. Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat or on 0333 207 0413.

Planning around travel or busy periods is one good reason to hold a multi-month supply. Pack pens in cool conditions, keep them in their carton and check the leaflet for travel and storage guidance. If you plan to stop treatment at the end of a supply, speak to your prescriber first about a planned exit. Tirzepatide takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system, and nothing needs doing while it does.

11 · Choosing the right dose

Choosing the right strength for three months

The right strength for a 3 month supply is the one your prescriber judges suitable for your stage, and it can differ from person to person. Many people settle on a maintenance dose of 5mg, 10mg or 15mg, while others continue to a higher strength. Higher strengths are not automatically better, and tolerability matters as much as the number on the pen.

The trial figures show why dose matters, but they should be read with care. In SURMOUNT-1, average weight loss over 72 weeks was 15% on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 These are averages across a trial population. They do not predict your own result, and individual results vary. A lower dose that you tolerate and can sustain may suit you better than a higher dose you struggle with.

For a newcomer, buying three pens at once usually means the later ones are for doses you have not yet tried. That is the main risk of a fixed bundle at the start. If you cannot tolerate 5mg, a 7.5mg pen sitting in your fridge is of little use. For someone already established on a stable dose, three matching pens are more sensible. They cover 12 weeks of the same weekly injection and save repeated ordering.

Moving up faster than your prescriber advises is not within the licence. If you plateau, discuss a dose step-up with your prescriber, and never double doses or add unlicensed products.

Our pages on the 5mg, 10mg and 15mg three-month options show how each looks in practice. When you are ready, the free consultation is where your prescriber agrees the plan. Remember that Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and individual results vary. This page is information, not a substitute for medical advice.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
How many pens are in a 3 month supply of Mounjaro?
A 3 month supply is three pens. Each Mounjaro KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses, so three pens cover 12 weeks and 12 injections. The strengths can be the same on all three or can step up, depending on your stage of treatment. A prescriber reviews each order and decides which doses suit you before anything is dispensed.
How much does a 3 month supply of Mounjaro cost?
The cost is the sum of three monthly pens at their standard prices, which run from £169.99 at 2.5mg to £329.99 at 15mg per month. A new customer's first order is £40 less with code FIRST40, and every later order is £25 less. Prices checked 10 October 2026.
Can I buy 3 months of Mounjaro at once without a consultation?
No. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Be wary of any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, because genuine treatment always involves both.
Is a 3 month supply cheaper than buying monthly?
That depends on the provider and on live discounts, so check the figures at the time you order. At EverydayMeds, a new customer's first order is £40 less with code FIRST40, and every future order is £25 less. Compare by dose and by what the price includes, not just the headline figure.
Which doses should I choose for three months?
The doses depend on your treatment stage, and your prescriber makes the final decision. If you are already settled on a stable dose, three pens of the same strength may suit you. Tolerability matters as much as strength, so do not choose a higher dose on your own.
How much weight will I lose in 3 months on Mounjaro?
A sensible 3-month expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation. In SURMOUNT-1, average weight loss built month by month, and the full 15–21% averages were measured at 72 weeks, not 12. Slower early progress does not predict failure, because the dose you respond to may still be ahead. Individual results vary.
How should I store three Mounjaro pens?
Keep unopened pens in the fridge until first use, and they keep until the printed expiry date. Once in use, a pen is licensed for up to 30 days (not above 30°C) out of the fridge. For any question about an unopened pen out of the fridge, check the patient information leaflet and ask the pharmacy. Never use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or has particles in it.
Is Mounjaro available on the NHS instead of buying privately?
Yes, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first. Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.
How do I know my Mounjaro pens are genuine?
Buy only from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register; ours is registration 9012878. A genuine UK pen has a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged and contains a clear, colourless solution. Do not use a pen that looks cloudy, has particles, has been frozen or is past its expiry. If anything seems wrong, contact the pharmacy before injecting.
