How to use a Mounjaro prescription

You can take your prescription to a registered pharmacy to be dispensed, or start a new private consultation with us if you do not yet have one that suits you.

If your prescription came from the NHS, it is dispensed under NHS rules. Private supply works differently: we assess you ourselves rather than dispensing a prescription written elsewhere. Our repeat prescription guide covers renewals.

02 · Private route

Starting privately with us

Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). Switching at a higher dose? Your first order at 15mg is £289.99. Every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). See the Mounjaro pen for current prices; all six doses are in stock.

Ordering takes three steps:

  • Complete the free online consultation, with no charge or obligation.
  • A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • We dispense and dispatch the same day if ordered by 3pm, with free next-day tracked delivery.

We supply genuine KwikPens through official LillyDirect supply. Our GPhC registration is 9012878.

03 · Who Mounjaro is licensed for

Who Mounjaro is licensed for

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1 A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable.

It is also licensed for type 2 diabetes. You do not need diabetes for weight management; see whether you need diabetes for more.1

04 · NHS access

NHS access to Mounjaro

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions).46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. Your GP or local integrated care board can tell you where you stand.

05 · What to expect from treatment

What to expect from treatment

Mounjaro is a once-weekly injection in a pre-filled multi-dose KwikPen, in six strengths from 2.5mg to 15mg.1 In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages and individual results vary.2

Our team provides ongoing monthly reviews, dose titration and side-effect support. If you worry about blood sugar, read about hypo risk with Mounjaro and whether it contains insulin. Report side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.19 Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin or eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Do you have to have a prescription for Mounjaro?
Yes. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, so it can only be supplied after assessment by a prescriber. With us, that means a free online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, as these may be counterfeit products.
Can diabetics get Mounjaro on the NHS?
Mounjaro is licensed for type 2 diabetes, and NHS use for it is guided by NICE. Whether you can get it depends on your clinical need and your diabetes team's judgement. Ask your GP or diabetes team, as local availability and criteria can differ.
What are the criteria for Mounjaro on the NHS?
NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions. Access is phased over several years.
Can I use my NHS prescription for Mounjaro with a private pharmacy?
Your pharmacy must be registered with the GPhC and able to dispense that prescription. Private supply with us starts from our own consultation, so a prescriber assesses suitability first. Check the pharmacy's registration on the GPhC register before you hand anything over.
Can I buy Ozempic in a pharmacy in the UK?
Ozempic is semaglutide licensed for type 2 diabetes. It is not a UK weight-loss medicine, and prescribing it privately for weight loss is off-label. We do not supply it. The licensed weight-management options are Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide 2.4mg), and a regulated UK pharmacy will not supply Ozempic for weight loss.
How quickly can I get Mounjaro delivered?
If your consultation is approved and ordered by 3pm, we dispatch the same day, with free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Unsuitable orders are refunded automatically.
