In this guide

01 · Price

What does a fat loss injection cost in the UK?

Private Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is the main fat loss injection people compare on price. Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest pen at any dose are £143.96 and £339.00 per month, checked 11 October 2026. For the 2.5mg starting pen alone the range is £143.96 to £179.99.

Providers also differ from each other for the same dose, by £27 at the smallest gap and £41 at the largest. Boots' Mounjaro prices run from £179.00 to £339.00. Comparing the same dose is the only fair way to shop.

02 · Our prices

What do we charge at EverydayMeds?

Our Mounjaro pen costs £169.99 at the 2.5mg starting dose, standard price. New customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40. Every later order is £25 off the standard price, applied automatically (code DOSE25). The Mounjaro discount code page explains how both discounts work. The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid.

03 · Planning

What will it cost over a year?

If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A first year of 13 pens costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. Your first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less than those figures.

Many people settle at 5mg, 10mg or 15mg, and higher is not automatically better.1 A maintenance dose in the middle of the range costs £279.99 (7.5mg) or £290.99 (10mg) per month at standard price.

04 · Ordering

How ordering works

Ordering takes three steps and starts with a free online consultation.

  • Complete a short health questionnaire, free with no obligation.
  • A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. Payment is taken when you place the order, and if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • We dispense and dispatch, with same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm and free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging.

All six doses are in stock. We supply through official LillyDirect, and you can pay by card, Klarna or pay-monthly options, with no subscription. Browse fat loss jabs online or see all weight loss treatments.

05 · Cheap does not mean safe

Why the cheapest price can be dangerous

The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.7

A genuine pen has a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution is clear and colourless. Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy, has particles, or is past expiry.13

06 · Stretching pens

Storing and using your pen

Mounjaro is a once-weekly medicine, and each KwikPen contains four weekly doses.1

Keep pens in the fridge and never freeze them. Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away.13

07 · What you get for the money

What the treatment delivers

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, versus 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. Individual results vary.2 For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.

Progress is gradual. The 2.5mg weeks are an adjustment phase, and most measurable progress builds from 5mg onward.1 Read more on whether fat loss injections work, their side effects and whether they are safe.

Get medical help straight away for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, pain in the upper right abdomen with fever or yellowing of the skin or eyes, or swelling of the face or throat with difficulty breathing.13

08 · NHS and eligibility

NHS access and who can get it privately

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition, and the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first.4 See our fat loss injections NHS guide.

Privately, Mounjaro is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 to 30 with a weight-related condition, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more activity. A prescriber assesses suitability first.1

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Who is the cheapest for weight loss injections?
It depends on the dose, because prices differ by provider. Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, checked 11 October 2026. Compare the same dose and confirm the pharmacy is on the GPhC register before you order.
Which is the cheapest weight loss injectable?
We track Mounjaro prices, where starting 2.5mg pens range from £143.96 to £179.99 across the pharmacies we track. Other injectables vary by dose and provider, so ask a prescriber for current figures. Price should never outweigh genuine supply from a registered pharmacy.
What is a cheaper alternative to Mounjaro in the UK?
Wegovy (semaglutide) is another licensed weight-loss injection, and your prescriber decides which medicine suits you. Our weight loss treatments page has more. A lower price does not make a medicine right for you.
What is the new drug better than Mounjaro?
No licensed medicine is better for everyone. SURMOUNT-5 was the first large head-to-head trial of tirzepatide and semaglutide for weight loss, and newer tablets are studied in separate trials, so their results should not be set side by side. A prescriber can advise which licensed option suits your health and goals.15
Will I regain weight after stopping Mounjaro?
Weight regain after stopping is a real possibility: in SURMOUNT-4, people who stopped tirzepatide after 36 weeks regained on average 14% of body weight over the following year, while those who continued lost a further 5.5% on average. Stopping should always be planned with your prescriber, with diet and activity habits ready to carry the load.
How can I get a fat loss injection on the NHS?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition, and the rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first. Ask your GP whether you qualify.4
Do I need a prescription for fat loss injections?
Yes. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription is not a genuine source. Our consultation is free, and orders the prescriber declines are refunded automatically in full.
