A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • You can switch Mounjaro provider whenever you like; there is no lock-in with us and no subscription.
  • A private prescription is not transferred. You start a fresh consultation with the new pharmacy.
  • Tell the new prescriber your current dose, how long you've been on it and your last injection date.
  • The prescriber decides your dose. Continuing at your current strength is a clinical decision, not automatic.
  • New customers save £40 on a first order at any dose, including a higher maintenance dose.
In this guide

01 · The short answer

Can you change pharmacy for Mounjaro?

Yes. Nothing ties you to the pharmacy that supplied your first pen. Private prescriptions are written for one patient by one prescriber and dispensed by one pharmacy, so a new provider issues its own after its own assessment.

Treat it as a fresh start on paper, not on your dose. Mounjaro comes in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 A good prescriber will want to know where you are on that ladder.

02 · Step by step

How to switch to EverydayMeds

Switching takes three steps, and the consultation is free with no obligation.

  • Free online consultation. Complete a short health questionnaire. Say that you already take Mounjaro, your current strength and the date of your last injection. Start from our free consultation.
  • Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • Dispensing and delivery. Our registered pharmacy dispenses it, with same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm and free next-day tracked delivery.

You can order from the Mounjaro pen page. All six doses are in stock, supplied through official LillyDirect supply direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.

03 · Cost

What switching costs

A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. That includes people moving over at a higher strength. Every later order gets an automatic £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25).

Where you are nowStandard price of one pen
Starting at 2.5mg£169.99
Settled on 5mg£218.99
On 10mg£290.99
On 15mg£329.99

Each figure is the price of one four-week pen before any discount. The price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees and no subscription. We take Visa, Mastercard and Klarna, and offer pay-monthly options.

04 · What the prescriber needs

What the new prescriber needs to know

Have these ready before you start: your current strength, how long you have taken it, your most recent injection date, and any side effects. Your current medicines and medical history matter too, because a prescriber reviews these before deciding whether Mounjaro is suitable.1

Keep your pen box or the label from your last supply. It shows the strength you were dispensed. Having it to hand makes the consultation quicker and more accurate.

Read the patient information leaflet in your pack as well, as it covers the full list of side effects and what to report.13

05 · Will I keep my dose?

Will I keep my current dose?

Often yes, but it is the prescriber's decision. They look at your history and how you are tolerating treatment. They may continue your strength or suggest a different one if the information is incomplete or if you have had a long gap.

Because the strengths differ so much, nobody should guess your dose or restart you at a strength the prescriber has not approved.

If your last injection was some time ago, say so plainly. Prescribers have your safety in mind, and an honest timeline helps them choose the right step.

06 · Avoiding a gap in treatment

Avoiding a gap in treatment

Order your new supply before your current pen runs out. Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system.2 That does not mean a missed week is harmless. It means you should plan the changeover rather than leave it to the last day.

Allow time for the consultation, the prescriber's review and delivery. Ordering by 3pm gives same-day dispatch, and delivery is free next-day tracked in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

07 · Choosing a new provider

How to choose a new provider safely

Check that the pharmacy appears on the GPhC register. Ours is registration 9012878.12 Be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.

Compare on more than price: prescriber review, aftercare, delivery and how supply is sourced. Our guides to the best pharmacy for Mounjaro weight loss, the best UK registered pharmacy and lowest prices set out what to look for.

08 · NHS and private supply

NHS and private supply

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first.46

If you are moving from NHS supply to private, or the reverse, speak to your prescriber about the handover so that your dose is recorded correctly.

09 · Aftercare once you've switched

Aftercare once you've switched

Ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments by our prescribing team are included, along with side-effect support. Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing ships automatically. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order.

Support is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, at support@everydaymeds.co.uk or 0333 207 0413. The free GLPTrackr app helps you log doses and progress. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and individual results vary.1

10 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can you change pharmacy for Mounjaro?
Yes, you can change pharmacy or online provider whenever you like. A private prescription isn't transferred, so the new provider runs its own consultation. Tell them your current dose and last injection date, and a GPhC-registered prescriber decides how to continue your treatment.
Do I have to start again at 2.5mg if I switch?
Not automatically. The prescriber reviews your history, current strength and last injection date, then decides the right dose. If there has been a long gap, they may suggest a different strength. Answer honestly, because the decision is made for your safety.
Can diabetics get Mounjaro on the NHS?
Mounjaro is licensed for type 2 diabetes as well as weight management. NHS access is being phased in over several years, so availability depends on your local service and eligibility. Ask your GP or diabetes team what applies to you.
Will Mounjaro be free for NHS patients in the UK in 2026?
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is phased over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition, with the highest-need groups first from June 2025. Check eligibility with your GP.
What drugs should you not take with Mounjaro?
Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed. The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 If you take insulin or sulfonylureas, doses may need adjusting because of low blood sugar risk. Tell the prescriber about every medicine you take, and check the patient leaflet.
What should I avoid while taking Mounjaro?
Use Mounjaro alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. Avoid changing your dose without your prescriber, and tell them about new medicines or symptoms. Report suspected side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.
What is the best diet for Mounjaro?
The licence requires a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity alongside treatment. Because most people feel fuller sooner, smaller meals are often easier. Your prescriber can advise on the approach that suits your health and medicines.
Can I eat bananas while taking Mounjaro?
No food is banned on Mounjaro, including bananas. Treatment is used with a reduced-calorie diet, so fit fruit into your overall plan. Ask your prescriber if you have a particular dietary concern.
