B12 Injections for Weight Loss: Before and After Claims Explained (October 2026)
B12 injections are not a licensed weight-loss treatment, so before-and-after photos attached to them tell you little about the injection itself. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is licensed in the UK for weight management and is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and more activity.1 Individual results vary. Current as of October 2026.
One pen. Four weekly doses.

What the photos really show
Before-and-after pictures show a change, not a cause. Diet, activity, lighting and timing all shape them, so judge treatments by licensing and clinical evidence rather than images.

A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
B12 shots are not a weight-management medicine; before-and-after images rarely show what else changed.
-
Mounjaro is the licensed injectable here, and its starting dose is about adjustment, not weight loss.
-
After bariatric surgery, any weight loss injection needs your surgical team's input first.
-
A fast pre-Christmas result is not a realistic promise from any licensed treatment.
In this guide
01 · The core answer
Do B12 injections work for weight loss?
If someone feels better after a shot, that is not the same as losing fat. Any change in a photo may come from a new diet, more exercise or simple posing.
Our B12 injections weight loss guide goes deeper, and the page on B12 injections for weight loss cost covers what clinics charge for them. Combination offers are covered in HCG and B12 injections, and frequency claims in daily B12 injections.
02 · What to do next
If you want a licensed option
Mounjaro is a once-weekly prescription pen licensed for weight management in adults.1 It is supplied only after a free online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. The Mounjaro pen starts at £169.99 for the 2.5mg pen, or £129.99 for your first 2.5mg pen with code FIRST40. Our weight loss clinic explains the wider service.
03 · After bariatric surgery
Weight loss injections after bariatric surgery
Whether you can have weight loss injections after bariatric surgery is a decision for you, your surgical team and a prescriber together. Trial data in people who have had surgery is limited, and the decision sits with an individual prescriber.
Mounjaro slows how quickly the stomach empties and most people feel fuller sooner.1 Surgery also changes how the digestive system works, so your history matters. Be open about it in the consultation. The same applies to B12 injections after weight loss surgery: ask the team that follows your surgery before starting anything.
04 · Other injections
Lemon, NAD and lipotropic injections
Their before-and-after galleries are marketing, not trial data. Ask any seller for the product's licence status and the evidence behind it, and be cautious of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. Our guide to before and after weight loss drugs compares what is licensed.
05 · Realistic timing
Losing weight before Christmas
No licensed treatment can promise a set result by a set date. Everyone starts Mounjaro on 2.5mg weekly, and this starting dose is about letting your body adjust, not about weight loss itself.1 The dose then rises in steps of at least 4 weeks on each dose, depending on how you respond, so progress is gradual and individual results vary. See Mounjaro results from a single pen for early changes.
06 · Feeling tired or good
Energy, tiredness and how you feel
Feeling better after any injection does not prove weight loss. On Mounjaro, fatigue is a recognised common side effect, most noticeable in the first weeks and after dose increases. It usually reflects the body adjusting and eating less, so keep meals balanced, stay hydrated and keep gentle activity going.113 Tell your clinical team if tiredness is severe or not settling. Our guide on life after weight loss injections covers what comes next. Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.
How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
