A quick overview
What to know
before you start.
-
Delivery speed has two parts: how quickly a prescriber reviews you, and how quickly the courier brings the pen.
-
We dispatch the same day when an approved order is placed by 3pm, with free next-day tracked delivery.
-
Mounjaro pens travel in temperature-controlled packaging and go into the fridge on arrival.
-
Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
In this guide
01 · The honest answer
So which service delivers weight loss medication fastest?
Delivery time depends on the order of events: your consultation, the prescriber's decision, dispensing, dispatch and the courier. The quickest realistic route in the UK is a same-day prescriber decision, same-day dispatch and next-day tracked courier.
Our free online consultation is a short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it, rather than a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Approved orders are dispensed by our registered pharmacy and dispatched the same day when ordered by 3pm. Delivery is free, next-day, tracked with DPD, in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging.
02 · Step by step
How the timeline works from consultation to your door
| Stage | What happens | What affects speed |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Consultation | You complete a free online health questionnaire | How complete and accurate your answers are |
| 2. Prescriber review | A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews suitability | Follow-up questions if your history needs clarifying |
| 3. Dispensing and dispatch | Our registered pharmacy dispenses; same-day dispatch if ordered by 3pm | The order cut-off time |
| 4. Delivery | Free next-day tracked DPD delivery; Saturday delivery is £14.99 | Courier schedule and someone being home to receive it |
The step most likely to cost you time is the second. A prescriber who needs more information about your medicines or history will ask, and that is correct practice, not a delay to be engineered away. Any service promising approval in minutes with no questions should worry you more than one that takes a little longer.
03 · Ordering
How to order Mounjaro for fast delivery
Ordering takes three steps. First, start your free consultation. Second, the prescriber reviews your answers and approves or declines the order. Third, we dispense and dispatch, and your tracked parcel arrives the next day. To make the most of the cut-off, finish the questionnaire early in the day and have your medicine list to hand, so the prescriber has no gaps to chase.
The Mounjaro pen starting dose of 2.5mg costs £169.99 per month at the standard price. A new customer's first order, at any dose, is £40 less with code FIRST40, and every later order carries an automatic £25 reorder discount (code DOSE25). Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, Klarna or pay-monthly options, with no subscription. If you want the full picture of what telehealth can prescribe, that guide explains the rules.
Repeat orders re-check your suitability and nothing auto-ships. That adds a small step, but it means the pen you receive is one a prescriber has recently approved for you, which is the point of a regulated service.
04 · What affects delivery speed
What actually determines delivery speed
Delivery speed is the sum of four things: the time to a prescriber decision, the time to dispense, the dispatch cut-off and the courier service. Services that advertise only the last of these are telling you a quarter of the story. A courier promise of next-day delivery means little if the order sat in a queue for three days before anyone reviewed it.
The first factor is the clinical review. A regulated service must have a prescriber assess you before a prescription-only medicine is supplied. That is a legal and safety requirement, not an optional extra. Reviews move fastest when your questionnaire is complete, your height, weight and medicines are accurate, and you answer any follow-up quickly.
The second is dispensing. A pharmacy needs the product on the shelf. We stock all six Mounjaro strengths, and all six doses are in stock, so there is no wait for the dose you need.
The third is the dispatch cut-off. Ours is 3pm for same-day dispatch. An order approved after the cut-off simply leaves the next working day, so the courier clock starts later. When comparing services, always ask what the cut-off is and whether it applies to approval or to payment.
The fourth is the courier and the packaging. Medicines that need refrigeration must travel in cold-chain or temperature-controlled packaging, and tracked delivery means you can plan to be in. A faster courier that cannot keep the pen cold is worse than a slightly slower one that can.
Finally, there is your own part. Missed deliveries, an unattended address or an unanswered prescriber query add days that no provider controls. Choose a delivery address where someone will be present, and keep an eye on the tracking message. Speed is partly down to the service, and partly down to making the process easy for the prescriber and courier to complete.
05 · Our delivery service
What our delivery service includes
Our delivery is free, next-day and tracked, sent with DPD in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day, so an approved order can reach you the following day. If you need a weekend arrival, Saturday delivery is available for £14.99.
We are a GPhC-registered UK online pharmacy (registration 9012878), and you can check that on the GPhC register. Our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and the pens are genuine KwikPens. For a weight loss medicine that must be kept cold, supply chain integrity matters at least as much as the courier time.
Every order includes needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance, so you can start properly without ordering extras. The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. If the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full, with refunds taking 5 to 10 working days.
Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat, or on 0333 207 0413. If a parcel is delayed, contact us in those hours and we can look at the tracking with you. For a broader look at how we compare with other routes, see our guide to online services for GLP-1 medication delivery.
More than 100,000 customers have been supported on their weight loss journey with us. That figure describes the number of people we have served, not how well the medicine works for any individual.
06 · Comparison checklist
A checklist for comparing telehealth weight loss services
Ask the same seven questions of each service, and be wary of any that will not answer.
| Question to ask | Reassuring answer | Warning sign |
|---|---|---|
| Who reviews my consultation? | A named type of registered prescriber | Automatic scoring with no clinician |
| Is the pharmacy registered? | A GPhC number you can check on the register | No registration number shown |
| Where does the medicine come from? | A stated, official supply route | Vague sourcing or unbranded products |
| What is the dispatch cut-off? | A stated time for same-day dispatch | No cut-off, or only a courier slogan |
| How is it kept cold in transit? | Temperature-controlled packaging | No mention of cold-chain |
| What happens if I am declined? | Automatic full refund | Fees kept or unclear terms |
| Is there follow-up care? | Regular reviews and dose guidance | One-off sale with no aftercare |
Notice that price and speed come after safety in this list. A cheaper or quicker route that skips a prescriber, or supplies without a consultation or prescription, is not a bargain. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine and legitimate supply always involves a review by a registered prescriber.
Also check the total cost, not just the headline. Ask whether delivery is free, whether the consultation is charged, and whether there is a subscription. Ours has no subscription, a free consultation and free standard delivery. For help comparing running costs, our page on weight loss service monthly cost in the UK sets out the pieces.
Finally, look at aftercare. A medicine that you inject weekly and increase in steps needs someone to review how you are doing. Monthly reviews, dose-titration support and side-effect help are as much part of a good service as the parcel arriving on time. If you want to explore the wider field of GLP-1 options reviewed by telehealth clinicians, see GLP-1 medications with online telehealth consultations.
07 · Arrival and storage
What to do when your pen arrives
When your parcel arrives, put the pen in the fridge straight away, because unopened pens are stored in the fridge until first use. Unopened pens keep until the printed expiry date. Check the packaging is intact, that the pen matches your prescription, and that the label shows the strength you were prescribed.13
Once in use, a pen can be kept out of the fridge at a temperature not above 30°C for up to 30 days after first use, and must then be thrown away. That fits a pen that provides four weekly doses, so a single pen is used across one four-week cycle.1 If you are unsure about a pen that was left out of the fridge before you opened it, do not guess a number of days. Read the patient information leaflet and contact us, and we will advise.13
This is why next-day delivery with temperature-controlled packaging matters more than raw speed. A pen that arrives promptly but is left on a doorstep for hours is a worse outcome than one you collect from a neighbour. Plan the delivery around your day. Choose an address where someone will be present, track the parcel, and move the pen to the fridge as soon as it arrives.
If anything looks wrong, such as damage to the box, a broken pen or the wrong strength, contact us within 3 days. Dispensed prescription medicines cannot otherwise be returned, but faulty, damaged or wrong items are handled. Keep the packaging and take a photo of any problem so we can resolve it quickly.
Practical points are worth planning in advance too. Keep the sharps bin we send somewhere safe and out of children's reach, and use the injection guidance included with your order. The pen's own instructions tell you how to inject correctly, so follow those rather than relying on memory or a video.
Travelling soon after delivery? Plan how you will keep the pen cold on the journey, and ask us if you are unsure. The safest approach is to order so that your pen arrives when you are home, instead of racing the courier before a trip.
08 · Cost over a year
What speed costs: planning a year of treatment
Free delivery means speed adds nothing to the price of Mounjaro with us, so the cost depends on your dose. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). Switching to us at 15mg? Your first order is £289.99. After the first order, every later order is £25 off the standard price.
Mounjaro starts low and increases in steps. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less. Standard prices for the pens are shown in the table.
| Dose | Standard price per month (4-week pen) | Per week |
|---|---|---|
| 2.5mg | £169.99 | £42.50 |
| 5mg | £218.99 | £54.75 |
| 7.5mg | £279.99 | £70.00 |
| 10mg | £290.99 | £72.75 |
| 12.5mg | £319.99 | £80.00 |
| 15mg | £329.99 | £82.50 |
At standard prices before discounts, a first year (13 pens) costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. For maintenance doses in between, use that dose's monthly price. Prices were checked 10 October 2026.
Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens at any dose currently run from £143.96 to £339.00 per month, as at our index check of 10 October 2026. The gap between providers for the same dose ranges from £27 to £41. Starting 2.5mg pens range from £143.96 to £179.99. Compare delivery terms and aftercare alongside those figures, not instead of them.
Pharmacy sell prices vary because of confidential discounts. You can browse the full range on our Buy Mounjaro page.
09 · Who can be prescribed
Who can be prescribed Mounjaro through telehealth
Speed is irrelevant if you are not eligible, so check this first. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1
A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it suits you. That is why accurate answers speed things up: they let the prescriber reach a decision in one pass rather than several.
Mounjaro is not suitable for everyone. You should not take it if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients, and it should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive. Mounjaro must not be used during pregnancy, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. A prescriber will take extra care, or may advise against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy or gallbladder problems.1
Thyroid history also matters. In rodent studies tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumours, and it is not known whether this applies to humans; no increase has been shown in human trials. Tell your prescriber if you or a close relative have had medullary thyroid cancer or the inherited condition MEN 2. Routine thyroid monitoring is not required for most people.1
Share your full medical history and medicine list during the consultation. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. A decline is not a failure of the service; it is the safety check doing its job.
A fast answer to "can I have it?" comes from preparation. Before you start, note your height and current weight, any diagnoses, and every medicine and supplement you take.
10 · Safety while you wait
Safety, side effects and other medicines
Serious side effects are uncommon, but you should know them before your pen arrives. Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting, which could be pancreatitis. Also seek immediate medical help for pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of the skin or eyes, which could be gallbladder problems, or for signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.1
Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, so it can change how quickly some oral medicines are absorbed, particularly when you start treatment or increase the dose. Tell your prescriber about everything you take, especially warfarin or other narrow-margin medicines, insulin or sulfonylureas, where doses may need reducing to avoid low blood sugar. No adjustment is needed for paracetamol. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea, watch for shakiness, sweating or confusion.1
On kidneys and liver: Mounjaro is not known to damage either directly, and no dose adjustment is needed for mild to moderate impairment. The practical risk is indirect. Severe vomiting or diarrhoea can cause dehydration, which can strain the kidneys, so keep fluids up and get medical help straight away if you cannot keep fluids down. People with severe impairment need individual prescriber assessment.1
On mood, the EMA's safety committee reviewed the evidence on GLP-1 medicines and low mood or suicidal thoughts and concluded in 2024 that it does not support a causal link, and the MHRA keeps this under continuous review.17 Even so, big changes in weight, appetite and routine can affect how you feel. Tell your prescriber about any history of depression, and seek help promptly if your mood drops or you have distressing thoughts during treatment.
If you have thoughts of harming yourself or ending your life, get help straight away. Call 999 or go to A&E if you are in immediate danger. In England you can call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option, any time. You can also call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. Tell your prescriber about any change in your mood while taking Mounjaro.
You can report any suspected side effect through the Yellow Card scheme.19 Our aftercare includes ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, and side-effect support from the prescribing team, so you are not left alone with questions once the parcel arrives.
Never accept a pen from a seller who supplies without a consultation or prescription, however quickly it is offered. Counterfeit and unregulated products are a genuine risk, and the MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts.
11 · NHS versus private
NHS and private routes: the honest picture
Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40 and above with four or more qualifying conditions.4 Full rollout is expected to take years.6
That phasing is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than wait. The NHS route has its own pace and eligibility order, and it is not designed around next-day delivery. A private telehealth service offers speed and convenience but at your own cost, with the same requirement for a prescriber's assessment.
The NHS prescription charge in England is £9.90 for most prescribed items, but that does not mean a given weight management medicine is available to you on prescription now. Ask your GP whether you are in an eligible group, and see the NHS tirzepatide guide for current information.5 NHS access to Wegovy runs through specialist weight-management services; ask your GP.
If you are looking for rapid ways to lose weight, our overview of fastest weight loss injections sets out how the options differ. A realistic expectation matters here: delivery speed changes when you start, not how quickly your body responds.
The two routes are not mutually exclusive in time. Some people use a private service while waiting for an NHS appointment, and a private prescriber's review notes can help your GP understand your history. Whichever route you take, tell every clinician involved what you are taking, so doses of other medicines can be reviewed.
If you start privately and later become eligible on the NHS, discuss the transition with your GP, who can explain how continuing treatment would be arranged.
12 · What to expect from treatment
What to expect once treatment starts
Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties and improve how the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. This dual action distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide.1
In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. These are trial averages and individual results vary. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.2
At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20%.2 Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.
In trials, weight loss came with average improvements in waist size, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood-sugar measures, and most participants with prediabetes returned to normal blood-sugar levels. These are trial-average secondary outcomes, not promises.2
Dosing starts at 2.5mg and is raised in steps, so the early pens are about getting your body used to the medicine, not reaching the full effect. Your prescriber guides when to step up.
On stopping: tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4 to 5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up and nothing needs doing while it clears.1 In SURMOUNT-4, people who stopped tirzepatide after 36 weeks regained on average 14% of body weight over the following year, while those who continued treatment lost a further 5.5% on average. Stopping should always be planned with your prescriber, with diet and activity habits ready to carry the load. You can also track your progress with GLPTrackr, our free companion app for iOS and Android.
How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
