A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • Mounjaro is prescription-only, so every legitimate UK site needs a consultation and prescriber approval. Any site that skips this is not safe.
  • Check the pharmacy's GPhC registration yourself. Ours is 9012878, and you can verify it on the public register.
  • Easy means a short free questionnaire, a clear price, tracked cold-chain delivery and follow-up, not the fewest questions asked.
  • The standard 2.5mg pen price is £169.99. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.
  • Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026).

01 · The short answer

What is the easiest way to buy Mounjaro in the UK?

The easiest legitimate way is an online pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, where you complete a short health questionnaire and a prescriber reviews it. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine, so no UK website can sell it to you outright. Any site that offers to supply without a consultation or prescription is a warning sign, not a shortcut.7

So "easiest" really comes down to five practical things: how quickly you can start, how clear the price is, how reliable delivery is, whether the supply is genuine, and whether someone checks in on you afterwards. We built our service around those. You can start your free consultation in a few minutes, and the Mounjaro pen is reviewed and dispensed by our registered pharmacy.

We are a full UK online pharmacy (weight loss, sexual health, hair loss and acid reflux), registered with the GPhC under number 9012878. Mounjaro comes to us through official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and all six doses from 2.5mg to 15mg are in stock.

02 · How it works

What does buying Mounjaro online actually involve?

It involves four stages, and the same core stages apply at every regulated provider.

  • Free online consultation. A short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation.
  • Prescriber review. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your answers. It is a clinical review, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • Dispensing and dispatch. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.
  • Delivery. Free next-day tracked delivery by DPD, in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

The consultation is free, and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or Klarna, and pay-monthly options are available. There are no subscriptions, and repeat orders re-check suitability, so nothing ships automatically.

03 · Cost

How much does Mounjaro cost, and how do the options compare?

The standard price of one 4-week pen at 2.5mg is £169.99, rising to £329.99 at 15mg. A new customer takes £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including people switching to us at a higher dose. Every later order is then £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25).

For context, across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens across all doses and providers are £143.96 and £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026). For the same dose, the gap between providers ranges from £27 to £41. The 2.5mg starting pen alone runs from £143.96 to £179.99 across the pharmacies we track. Price matters, but an unusually low offer from an unverified seller is a bigger risk than a small price difference.

04 · Is it safe to buy

How can you tell whether a Mounjaro seller is safe?

Check that the seller is on the GPhC register, and that it asks you for a prescription and a clinical consultation. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations, and some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.712

A quick checklist before you pay anywhere:

  • Can you find the pharmacy's registration number, and does it match the GPhC register entry?
  • Does the site ask health questions and tell you a prescriber will review them?
  • Is the medicine supplied through a recognised route? Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies.7
  • Is the price realistic for a prescription medicine from a registered pharmacy?

If any answer is no, walk away. Saving money is never worth injecting an unknown substance.

05 · Check your pen

How do you check a pen is genuine when it arrives?

A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless.7

Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been out of the fridge for more than 30 days in use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.12

This is another reason delivery matters when choosing a site. Our free next-day tracked delivery uses temperature-controlled packaging, and every pen carries a batch number and expiry date you can check.

06 · Who can get it

Who can be prescribed Mounjaro for weight management?

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.111

A prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable. This is the part no legitimate site can skip, and it is why the questionnaire exists. It protects you, so an honest, complete answer makes the process quicker.

Mounjaro is also licensed for type 2 diabetes. If you have diabetes and want to know about NHS prescribing, NICE has a separate appraisal for that use.8 Your GP or diabetes team can tell you what applies to you locally.

07 · NHS or private

Should you wait for the NHS or buy privately?

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. Ask your GP where you sit in your area's rollout. If you are in a later group, private treatment through a registered pharmacy is the alternative. Either way, the treatment and the safety checks are the same kind of clinical process.5

08 · Planning the cost

What will a year of treatment cost?

Planning beyond the first pen is part of choosing a site, because the dose usually rises over the first months. At standard prices, before discounts, if you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96. A first year (13 pens) costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less.

If you settle on 7.5mg, 10mg or 12.5mg, the standard monthly pen prices are £279.99, £290.99 and £319.99. The weekly equivalents range from £42.50 at 2.5mg to £82.50 at 15mg.

If you like to pay in larger chunks, see our pages on Mounjaro multi buy options and Mounjaro bundles, and the guide to how to buy a bundle.

09 · What results to expect

What results do trials show?

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 As a worked example, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Trial averages do not predict your own result.

Be wary of any site that promises specific results or quotes dramatic weight-loss claims. A genuine prescriber will talk about averages and variation.

10 · What to avoid

What should you avoid while taking Mounjaro?

Do not change your doses yourself. Mounjaro is licensed as a once-weekly medicine. Talk to your clinical team rather than self-adjusting.1

Each KwikPen is designed and licensed to deliver exactly four weekly doses. Use the pen as designed, then dispose of it.13

On interactions, Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed, and doses of insulin or sulfonylureas may need reducing to avoid low blood sugar. The SmPC advises switching to a non-oral method, or adding a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase.1 Tell your prescriber about every medicine you take. Read the patient information leaflet and follow your prescriber's advice, and report any suspected side effect through the Yellow Card scheme.19

11 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
What is the easiest site to buy Mounjaro in the UK?
No single site is easiest, because every legitimate UK provider requires a health questionnaire and prescriber approval. The simplest route is a GPhC-registered online pharmacy with a free consultation, clear pricing and tracked cold-chain delivery. Ours is registered under number 9012878, and you can check it on the GPhC register before you order.
Where can I find the cheapest Mounjaro in the UK?
Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026). Our standard 2.5mg pen is £169.99, and every later order is £25 less. Compare registered pharmacies only, and treat very low offers from unverified sellers as a warning sign.
Can you buy Mounjaro without a prescription in the UK?
No. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after a consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. Anyone offering to supply it without a consultation or prescription is not operating legitimately, and fake pens have been found, some containing insulin rather than tirzepatide. Our consultation is free, with no obligation.
Can diabetics get Mounjaro on the NHS?
Mounjaro is licensed for type 2 diabetes, and NICE has published separate guidance on its use for that condition. Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years, so availability depends on your area and circumstances. Ask your GP or diabetes team what applies to you, and tell any prescriber about all your diabetes medicines.
Can you buy semaglutide in the UK?
Semaglutide is sold as Wegovy, a separate once-weekly treatment with its own dose ladder from 0.25mg up to a 2.4mg maintenance dose, reached from week 17. It is a different medicine from Mounjaro, which contains tirzepatide.
What drugs should not be taken with Mounjaro?
Your prescriber needs to know every medicine you take. Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed: switch to a non-oral method or add a barrier method for 4 weeks after starting and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Insulin or sulfonylurea doses may need reducing to avoid low blood sugar. It is not simply a case of never combining them. Read the patient information leaflet and ask your prescriber before changing anything.
What should you not do after taking Mounjaro?
Do not change your doses yourself. Follow the pen's instructions, dispose of it after use, and report any new symptoms to your prescriber. You can also report side effects through Yellow Card.
What foods worsen Mounjaro's side effects?
No food is banned on Mounjaro. Many people feel worse after very fatty, fried or very sugary food, and large portions sit heavily because the stomach empties more slowly, so smaller, slower meals work better. If any symptom worries you, contact your prescriber and report it through Yellow Card.
