In this guide
01 · Getting started
How to get an appetite suppressant from an online doctor
You complete a short free health questionnaire, and a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. If Mounjaro is suitable, it is dispensed by our registered pharmacy. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. You can start your free consultation at any time.
The prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1
02 · Cost
What it costs
The Mounjaro pen starts at £169.99 per month for 2.5mg. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40. Every later order is £25 off the standard price (code DOSE25). If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices.
At standard prices, a first year costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 (checked 11 October 2026).

How ordering works
First, complete the free consultation. Second, a prescriber reviews it. Third, we dispense and dispatch the same day if you order by 3pm, with free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99. Our team supports you Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, on 0333 207 0413.
04 · How Mounjaro works
How Mounjaro suppresses appetite
Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable made by Eli Lilly. It is licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes, and comes in a KwikPen in six strengths from 2.5mg to 15mg.1
It activates two gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite and slow how quickly the stomach empties. Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1
Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear after a final dose.1
05 · Who is eligible
Who can be prescribed it
Mounjaro is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1 A prescriber decides whether it is suitable for you.
On the NHS, access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus a weight-related condition. The primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.
06 · What results to expect
What the trial evidence shows
In SURMOUNT-1, 2,539 adults taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg.
These are trial averages, and individual results vary. At 72 weeks, 85% on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight.2
07 · Over-the-counter options
Over-the-counter and "natural" alternatives
Products marketed as the "poor man's Ozempic" or a way to mimic Ozempic naturally are low-cost supplements with no clinical oversight. Dosing is not standardised. Dramatic weight-loss claims should be treated with caution; see our guides to what makes a great appetite suppressant and appetite suppressant nootropics.
Buy only from registered pharmacies, which you can check on the GPhC register. Beware anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription, and report concerns through the MHRA.7 Our Mounjaro comes from official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution.
08 · Other prescription options
Other treatments
Wegovy (semaglutide) is a once-weekly pen that steps up after at least 4 weeks through 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and 1.7mg, reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 17. Liraglutide (Saxenda) is a daily injection at 6mg per millilitre. Browse all weight loss treatments or compare appetite suppressant savers. How ordering works
How ordering works at EverydayMeds
Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.
Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes
Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.
Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day
A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.
Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery
Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.
Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.
Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.
