A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • A GLP-1 prescription online starts with a free health questionnaire, then a review by a GPhC-registered prescriber who decides whether treatment is suitable.
  • Licensed eligibility is a BMI of 30+, or 27 to 30 with at least one weight-related condition, alongside diet and activity changes.
  • Your first 2.5mg Mounjaro pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99); later orders are £25 off the standard price.
  • NHS access to Mounjaro is being phased in over several years, so many eligible adults choose regulated private treatment.
  • Only buy from a GPhC-registered pharmacy that requires a consultation and prescription; anyone offering to supply without them is a red flag.

01 · The process

How a GLP-1 weight loss prescription online works

An online GLP-1 prescription is a normal prescribing decision made remotely: you answer clinical questions, a qualified prescriber reviews them, and only then is a medicine dispensed. There is no shortcut around the review, and a legitimate pharmacy will not offer one.

At EverydayMeds the journey has four steps:

  • Free online consultation. A short health questionnaire with no charge and no obligation.
  • Prescriber review. Your answers are reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • Dispensing and dispatch. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen, with same-day dispatch when you order by 3pm.
  • Delivery. Free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

Ready to begin? Start your free consultation, or read our step-by-step guide on how to buy Mounjaro in the UK.

Repeat orders re-check suitability, and nothing ships automatically. There are no subscriptions, and you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Klarna or pay-monthly options.

02 · Eligibility

Who can get a GLP-1 prescription online?

Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples are high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.1

A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable.11 Being eligible on paper does not mean treatment is approved, and being declined is not a failure: the review exists to protect you. A declined consultation is refunded in full.

For more on the prescribing pathway, see our page on doctor-supervised online programmes.

03 · Cost

What a GLP-1 prescription costs online

The consultation is free, and the price shown is the price paid with no hidden fees. You pay only for the medicine. The Mounjaro pen is priced by strength, and each pen lasts four weeks. The standard price is £169.99 for 2.5mg, £218.99 for 5mg and £279.99 for 7.5mg. Higher strengths are £290.99 for 10mg, £319.99 for 12.5mg and £329.99 for 15mg. All six strengths are in stock.

A new customer gets £40 off their first order at any dose with code FIRST40. That includes people switching to us at a higher dose: a first 15mg order is £289.99. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with that code. After that, an automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25), so every later order is £25 off the standard price.

Planning beyond one pen helps. These totals are at standard prices, before discounts:

Planning periodPensStandard-price total
First year if you settle at 5mg13£2,711.88
First year if you settle at 15mg13£3,599.88

Your first order is £40 less and every later order £25 less than these standard figures. If you settle at another strength, use that dose's monthly price instead. Our Mounjaro GLP-1 online prescription page has more on pricing.

04 · NHS or private

NHS or private: the honest picture

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46 Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.

RouteWho it suitsWhat to know
NHS via your GPAdults who meet the phased NHS criteriaNo medicine charge beyond any standard prescription charge; access depends on local rollout and your place in the phases
Regulated online pharmacyAdults who meet the licensed criteria and want to start soonerFree consultation, prescriber review, you pay for the medicine, monthly reviews included
Over-the-counter supplementsAnyone, but not a substitute for medicineLow-cost supplement, no clinical oversight; not equivalent to a prescribed GLP-1 medicine

Whichever route you choose, treatment sits alongside diet and activity changes. If you are unsure where you fall in the NHS phases, ask your GP first. You can still start privately without losing that option.

05 · What GLP-1 treatment is

What GLP-1 weight loss treatment is

GLP-1 medicines are prescription-only treatments that act on gut-hormone pathways involved in appetite. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1

Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1 This dual action distinguishes it from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).

The GLP-1 infographic summarises how this class of medicine works visually.

06 · What trials show

What the trial results show

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks. People using lifestyle changes alone lost 3.1%.2 These are trial averages, and individual results vary.

As a worked example only, for someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. Trial averages do not predict your own result, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2

At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2 For more figures on the class, see our GLP-1 statistics page.

07 · Other GLP-1 options

Other GLP-1 options you may see

Mounjaro is not the only prescribed route, and a prescriber can discuss which suits you.

Wegovy (semaglutide)Once-weekly pen: 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, then 2.4mgSteps up after at least 4 weeks, reaching the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 1718

08 · Safe online buying

How to buy GLP-1 medicine online safely

Buy only from a pharmacy you can find on the GPhC register, which lists registered pharmacies and pharmacy professionals.12 Ours is GPhC registration 9012878. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts and runs the Yellow Card scheme for reporting problems.7

Warning signs of an unsafe seller include:

  • offering to supply without a consultation or prescription
  • dramatic weight-loss claims that promise specific results
  • no pharmacy registration number you can check
  • prices far below those you see at registered pharmacies
  • payment requests through unusual channels

Our Mounjaro comes from official LillyDirect supply, direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and we stock genuine KwikPens. Read more in our guide to medical weight loss online safety.

09 · After you start

What happens after you start

Treatment is not a one-off purchase. Our prescribing team provides ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, plus side-effect support. Repeat orders re-check suitability, so nothing is shipped automatically. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat, or on 0333 207 0413.

Every order includes needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance. Follow the pen's instructions and the patient information leaflet for use and storage.13 If you notice a new symptom, tell your prescriber. You can also report suspected side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.19

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days. After a final dose it takes roughly 4 to 5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1 Our free GLPTrackr app (iOS and Android) helps you track your journey.

10 · Choosing a provider

What to look for in an online provider

A good provider is transparent about who reviews you, what you pay and what happens if you are declined. Use this checklist when you compare options, including our overview of weight loss drugs online and the wider medical weight loss online store range.

  • Regulation. The pharmacy should be on the GPhC register.
  • Prescriber review. Your answers should be reviewed by a qualified prescriber, not an automated score.
  • Clear pricing. The price you see should be the price you pay, with a free consultation.
  • Refund policy. Declined consultations should be refunded automatically in full.
  • Aftercare. Look for monthly reviews, dose guidance and a way to reach someone.
  • Supply. Ask where the medicine comes from.

Dispensed prescription medicines cannot be returned unless faulty, damaged or the wrong item, so contact us within 3 days if that happens. Refunds take 5 to 10 working days.

11 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Yes. A GPhC-registered prescriber reviews your free online consultation and decides whether a GLP-1 medicine is suitable. Mounjaro is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 to 30 with a weight-related condition. If you are not suitable, a declined consultation is refunded in full.
Can I buy weight loss injections online?
You can buy prescription weight loss injections online only from a registered pharmacy after a consultation and prescriber approval. Be wary of any seller offering to supply without a consultation or prescription. Check the pharmacy on the GPhC register before ordering. Ours is registration 9012878.
Do I qualify for Mounjaro on the NHS?
NICE recommends Mounjaro for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. Can I get Ozempic for weight loss online?
Ozempic is semaglutide licensed for type 2 diabetes only; it is not a UK weight-loss medicine, and a regulated UK pharmacy will not supply it for weight loss.
How long does an online GLP-1 consultation take?
The consultation is a short, free health questionnaire with no obligation. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
