A quick overview

What to know
before you start.

  • A GLP-1 prescription online starts with a free health questionnaire, then a review by a GPhC-registered prescriber who decides if treatment is suitable.
  • Licensed weight-management eligibility is a BMI of 30 or above, or 27–30 with a weight-related condition.
  • Your first 2.5mg Mounjaro pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40; the standard price is £169.99.
  • Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • Check any telehealth provider on the GPhC register before sharing health details or paying.

01 · How it works

How to get a GLP-1 prescription online

You get a GLP-1 prescription online by completing a free health questionnaire, which a GPhC-registered prescriber then reviews before anything is prescribed or dispensed. The consultation is the telehealth part: it happens online, in your own time, and replaces a face-to-face appointment for private treatment.

  • 1. Free online consultation. A short health questionnaire, no charge and no obligation. You can start your free consultation whenever suits you.
  • 2. Prescriber review. Your answers are reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, not a scoring script. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
  • 3. Dispensing and dispatch. Our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day.
  • 4. Delivery. Free next-day tracked delivery in discreet, temperature-controlled packaging. Saturday delivery is £14.99.

Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Once you are on treatment, the prescribing team carries out ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments, and repeat orders re-check suitability. Nothing ships automatically.

02 · Cost

What an online GLP-1 prescription costs

The consultation is free, and the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. You pay only for the medicine. The Mounjaro pen starts at a standard price of £169.99 for the 2.5mg starter, and the Mounjaro pen page shows all six doses with live prices and whether each is in stock.

New customers save £40 on their first order at any dose with code FIRST40, including people switching to us from another provider at a higher dose. An automatic £25 reorder discount applies to every future order (code DOSE25). Your first 2.5mg pen therefore costs £129.99, and switching at 15mg means your first order is £289.99.

For planning, if you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A first year (13 pens) costs £2,711.88 if you stay on 5mg after your 2.5mg starting pen, up to £3,599.88 if you step up through every dose to 15mg. Those totals are before discounts: a new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order £25 less. For other maintenance doses, the monthly standard price is £279.99 at 7.5mg, £290.99 at 10mg and £319.99 at 12.5mg.

Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens at any dose run from £143.96 to £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026). For a deeper breakdown, see our page on GLP-1 prescription cost. We offer Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there are no subscriptions to lock you in.

03 · Choosing a service

How to choose a telehealth GLP-1 provider

The safest way to choose a telehealth GLP-1 provider is to check regulation first, then clinical process, then price.

What to checkWhat good looks likeRed flag
RegulationThe pharmacy appears on the GPhC register (ours is 9012878)No registration number, or one you cannot find on the register
Prescriber reviewA named type of clinician (GPhC-registered prescriber) reviews your answersApproval that looks automatic, or offers to supply without a consultation or prescription
Medicine sourceGenuine branded pens from the manufacturer's UK supplyUnbranded vials, "research" products, or unexplained very low prices
PricingThe total price is shown before you pay, with no extra consultation feeFees that appear at checkout
AftercareMonthly reviews, dose-titration support and side-effect helpA one-off sale with no follow-up
ReorderingSuitability is re-checked on repeat ordersAuto-shipping you did not ask for

Our own answers to these checks: we are GPhC-registered, our Mounjaro comes through official LillyDirect supply direct from Eli Lilly's UK distribution as genuine KwikPens, and all six doses (2.5–15mg) are stocked. Prescriber review is built in, and no subscription is needed.

04 · Who can be prescribed

Who can be prescribed a GLP-1 online?

Adults who meet the licensed criteria can be prescribed Mounjaro online, subject to the prescriber's judgement. Mounjaro is licensed for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI between 27 and 30 with at least one weight-related condition. Examples include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.1

It must be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. A prescriber will assess your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding whether it is suitable for you.11 That is why the questionnaire asks detailed questions, and why a telehealth service that approves everyone is a warning sign rather than a convenience.

Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine. It is supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.

05 · What Mounjaro is

What Mounjaro is and how it works

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine made by Eli Lilly. In the UK it is licensed for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen (KwikPen) in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1

Tirzepatide activates two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. Most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. This dual action distinguishes it from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).1

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system. There is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1

06 · What the trial shows

What results to expect

In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2

These are trial averages, and individual results vary. Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them. At 72 weeks, 85% of participants on 5mg, 89% on 10mg and 91% on 15mg had lost at least 5% of their body weight. Half of participants on 10mg and 57% on 15mg lost at least 20% of their body weight.2

Trial averages do not predict your own result, so a good telehealth service will not promise one. Treat any provider that does as a reason to look elsewhere.

07 · Telehealth and the NHS

Telehealth versus NHS access

Mounjaro is available on the NHS, but access is being phased in over several years. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions.46

Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting. The NHS guide to tirzepatide sets out the NHS side, and your GP can tell you where you stand locally.5

The two routes are not mutually exclusive in principle: telehealth is simply a private, online way to be assessed. For a fuller look at what online services can and cannot prescribe, see can telehealth prescribe weight loss medication and our overview of GLP-1 weight loss medications with online consultations.

08 · Wegovy and other options

Wegovy and other GLP-1 options

Mounjaro is not the only GLP-1-type medicine you can ask about in a telehealth consultation; Wegovy (semaglutide) is another. Its pens are 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg once weekly. The dose steps up after at least four weeks and reaches the 2.4mg maintenance dose from week 17, and 2.4mg is the licensed maintenance dose for weight management.18 Your first Wegovy pen starts at £99.99 as a first-order price.

Liraglutide (Saxenda, and products such as Erly) is supplied at 6mg per millilitre and is a daily injection, unlike once-weekly Mounjaro and Wegovy. Which medicine is right for you is a prescriber's decision based on your history, so use the consultation to discuss it rather than choosing in advance. Our weight loss treatments overview lists every option we supply.

09 · Safety and aftercare

Safety, counterfeits and aftercare

Buying a GLP-1 from an unregulated seller carries real risk, because counterfeit and unlicensed products circulate online. The MHRA publishes counterfeit medicine alerts, and any suspected side effect can be reported through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.719 Only use a pharmacy you have confirmed on the GPhC register, and be wary of anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.

Telehealth should not end at the first delivery. With us, ongoing monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments are carried out by the prescribing team, with side-effect support. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat, or by phone on 0333 207 0413. GLPTrackr, our free companion app for iOS and Android, helps you track your journey.

Our wider explainer, GLP-1 prescription UK: when clinical assessment is needed, goes further on why the assessment matters, and our pages on a GLP-1 prescription and telehealth GLP-1 treatment cover related questions. If you are ready to compare doses, the Buy Mounjaro page has the full range, and the prescription weight loss medication telehealth guide explains what to expect on the day.

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Start your free consultation

Prescription and dispatch follow clinical approval. Confirm current delivery options when ordering.

Afterwards you're not on your own: dose-change reviews are built in before each step up, our pharmacist team is available for side-effect questions, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than auto-shipping.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
Can I get prescribed a GLP-1 through telehealth?
Yes, if a prescriber judges it suitable. You complete a free online health questionnaire, and a GPhC-registered prescriber reviews it. Mounjaro is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 to 30 with a weight-related condition. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full.
How do I get a prescription for a GLP-1 online?
Start a free online consultation, answer the health questions, and wait for a GPhC-registered prescriber to review them. If approved, your pen is dispensed by our registered pharmacy and sent by free next-day tracked delivery. Orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included.
Which GLP-1 telehealth service is best?
No service is best for everyone, but you can judge any of them. Confirm the pharmacy is on the GPhC register, check that a registered prescriber reviews your answers, make sure the medicine is genuine branded product, and look for monthly follow-up. Avoid anyone who offers to supply without a consultation or prescription, or who promises specific results.
Can I get a GLP-1 prescription online without seeing a doctor?
With a private online service, the assessment is a consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber rather than a face-to-face appointment. It is still a clinical decision: the prescriber looks at your BMI, medical history and current medicines before deciding. Anyone offering medicine with no review at all is not operating safely.
How can I get a GLP-1 prescription without seeing my GP?
You can use a regulated online pharmacy, where a free consultation is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber. The NHS route is different: access is being phased in over several years, with the primary-care rollout starting in June 2025 for the highest-need groups. Your GP can tell you whether you fit that pathway locally.
Can I use Teladoc to get a GLP-1 prescription?
For the UK, check that any service is registered with the GPhC, uses a registered prescriber, and supplies genuine licensed medicine. You can verify our own registration, number 9012878, on the GPhC public register.
How much does an online GLP-1 prescription cost?
The consultation is free and the price shown is the price paid. A Mounjaro 2.5mg starter pen has a standard price of £169.99, and new customers save £40 on their first order with code FIRST40. Every later order is £25 off the standard price. Higher doses cost more, and prices were checked 11 October 2026.
Is a telehealth GLP-1 prescription safe?
It can be, when the service is GPhC-registered, a prescriber genuinely reviews your history, and the medicine is genuine branded product. Mounjaro is a prescription-only medicine, and a prescriber assesses your BMI, medical history and current medicines first. Report any suspected side effect through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme. Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing.
