01 · The short answer

How to find the best priced Mounjaro in the UK

Compare the same dose, from a pharmacy you can verify, with no extra fees, and then look at the cost of the whole course. Across the UK pharmacies we track, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens sit between £143.96 and £339.00 per month, depending on the strength and the provider. That is a wide range, so a headline figure on its own tells you little.

Start by working out which dose you will actually be buying. Everyone begins on the lowest strength, so for a new patient the starting-pen price matters first. Across the providers we track, the cheapest and dearest 2.5mg starting pens are £143.96 and £179.99. Our own 2.5mg pen has a standard price of £169.99.

Switching to us from another provider at a higher dose? The discount applies at any dose, so your first order at 15mg is £289.99. Every order after your first is £25 off the standard price of that dose, using code DOSE25. You can see live prices for every strength on the Mounjaro pen page, where the table is updated as prices change.

02 · Checklist

What a fair price should include

A pen price is only comparable if it carries the same extras, so check each of these before you compare. First, the consultation: ours is free, with a short health questionnaire and no obligation. Second, the prescriber review: your order is reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber, and if an order is unsuitable it is refunded automatically. Third, delivery: ours is free next-day tracked delivery in temperature-controlled packaging, with Saturday delivery at £14.99. Fourth, the practical kit: needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance are included with every order.

We also tell you the price shown is the price paid, with no hidden fees. That matters because a lower pen price can be cancelled out by a separate consultation charge or delivery fee. When you compare, add every line together. Ongoing support also has value: monthly clinical reviews, dose-titration and side-effect support are part of our aftercare, and repeat orders re-check suitability, so nothing ships automatically.

Payment is flexible if a lump sum is the barrier. We accept Visa and Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there is no subscription lock-in. Spreading the cost is a reasonable way to manage your budget.

03 · Ordering

How ordering works

Ordering takes three steps. Payment is taken when you place the order; if the prescriber decides the treatment is not suitable, the order is refunded automatically in full. Once approved, our registered pharmacy dispenses your pen, and orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Delivery is free and next-day. If you are new to injecting, our guide on choosing the right needle for Mounjaro explains what your pen needs. To start, head to our weight loss clinic and begin the consultation. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription-only medicine, supplied only after an online consultation reviewed by a GPhC-registered prescriber.1

04 · Price versus total cost

Price versus total cost: what to compare

The price of a single pen is only one part of what you pay, so the best priced Mounjaro is judged on the total across your whole course. Mounjaro is a once-weekly injectable medicine made by Eli Lilly and licensed in the UK for weight management in adults and for type 2 diabetes. It comes as a pre-filled multi-dose pen in six strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Each strength has its own price, so comparing a provider's cheapest dose with another provider's dearest dose is meaningless.

Start by comparing like with like. If you are beginning treatment, compare starting pens. If you are already on a maintenance strength, compare that strength. Pharmacies price each dose independently, and a provider that looks inexpensive at the bottom of the range may be less competitive higher up. Our own standard prices run from £169.99 for 2.5mg through £218.99 at 5mg and £279.99 at 7.5mg to £290.99 at 10mg, £319.99 at 12.5mg and £329.99 at 15mg. Those are before any discount.

Next, look at what is bundled. Some sellers quote a low pen price and then add a consultation charge, a delivery fee or a charge for needles. Others include everything. With us the consultation is free, delivery is free next-day tracked delivery, and needles, a sharps bin and injection guidance come with every order. Add up all the lines on any quote before you decide.

Then think about the route you will travel. Most people do not stay at 2.5mg. Treatment starts low and is stepped up, so the cost that matters most is the cost of the doses you will actually use over the following months. A tempting starting price from a provider with high prices at higher doses can end up costing more overall. Equally, a provider that is slightly dearer at the start but keeps higher strengths steady may suit you better.

Finally, weigh the service around the pen. Prescriber review, monthly clinical reviews and side-effect support are a real part of the value, particularly when you are adjusting to a new medicine. A pen on its own, with no one to ask when something feels wrong, is a poorer deal at almost any price. The price you should be hunting for is the lowest honest total for a genuine pen with proper oversight, not the lowest number on a page.

One more habit helps. When you compare, note the date on every price you collect. Pen prices move, so a figure from a few weeks ago may no longer apply. That is why our figures carry a checked date and why the live table on the product page is the one to trust when you are ready to order.

05 · UK price index

How UK Mounjaro prices compare right now

Across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro prices vary a lot, and our index shows the spread. As of October 2026, the cheapest and dearest Mounjaro pens across all doses and providers we track are £143.96 and £339.00, per month (checked 10 October 2026). That range covers every strength, so it mostly reflects the gap between the lowest and highest doses rather than a gap between pharmacies alone.

For the same dose, the difference between providers is smaller but still real. The smallest gap we see between providers for an identical dose is £27, and the largest is £41. In practice that means two people on the same strength can pay noticeably different amounts depending on where they order. Our wider look at weight loss injection prices shows how this fits with other medicines.

The starting pen is where most new patients feel the difference first. Across the providers we track, 2.5mg starting pens range from £143.96 to £179.99. Against that, our 2.5mg pen has a standard price of £169.99. Every later order is £25 off the standard price.

What about high street names?

Readers often ask about Boots, Superdrug and Asda. For Boots, our index shows the lowest and highest Mounjaro dose prices at £179.00 and £339.00 per month. Their prices and service terms change, so look at each pharmacy's own page for the dose you need, and note whether a consultation fee or delivery charge applies.

How to use the index

Treat the index as a guide to the shape of the market and not as an offer. It tells you what range to expect and how much a careful comparison could save. It does not tell you whether a pen is genuine, whether the pharmacy is registered, or what is bundled in. Those checks come first. A price far below the range you see here is a reason for caution and not for excitement.

When you compare, write down the dose, the pen price, any consultation fee, any delivery fee and the date. Doing that for a handful of providers takes a few minutes and gives you a true like-for-like picture.

Remember also that the index measures what is on offer to new customers and existing customers alike. Introductory offers can make a first order look especially inexpensive, so ask what the price becomes afterwards. We state it plainly: the standard price returns on later orders, less the reorder discount that applies automatically to every future order with code DOSE25.

06 · Cost over a year

What Mounjaro costs over the titration and a year

The honest way to find the best priced Mounjaro is to cost the whole course, because the dose rises over time. If you step up after 4 weeks on each dose, your first four pens (2.5mg to 10mg) cost £959.96 at standard prices. A new customer's first order is £40 less, and every later order is £25 less than the standard price.

After titration, your monthly cost depends on the dose you settle on, and the right dose differs between people. Your prescriber decides with you, based on response and tolerance, rather than you choosing the highest strength by default.

Where you settleWhat it costs at standard prices
5mg maintenance, first full year (13 pens)£2,711.88
15mg maintenance, first full year (13 pens)£3,599.88
7.5mg maintenance£279.99 per month
10mg maintenance£290.99 per month
12.5mg maintenance£319.99 per month

In short, a first year costs £2,711.88 if you settle at 5mg, up to £3,599.88 at 15mg, all before discounts. Weekly equivalents help you budget: at our standard prices, 2.5mg is £42.50 per week, 5mg is £54.75, 7.5mg is £70.00, 10mg is £72.75, 12.5mg is £80.00 and 15mg is £82.50.

Notice what the table says about price strategy. The dose you maintain on has more effect on yearly spending than a small difference in the starting-pen price.

Plan the first order with the discounts in mind. Your first order is £40 off at any dose with code FIRST40, and every future order is £25 off with code DOSE25. There are no subscriptions, which means you can pause or stop without cancelling anything, and repeat orders re-check suitability rather than ship automatically.

If cost worries you before you begin, say so in your consultation. Your prescriber can talk about the plan, and paying monthly or through Klarna can ease the cash-flow pressure of a long course without changing how the medicine is taken.

07 · What you pay for

What you are paying for: how Mounjaro works

Understanding the medicine helps you judge whether a price is fair. Tirzepatide is the first treatment of its kind to activate two natural gut-hormone receptors at once: GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet.1 This dual action is what distinguishes Mounjaro from single-action GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic).

Because it works alongside your eating habits, Mounjaro is not a standalone fix. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, and individual results vary. Our guide on how to lose weight well on Mounjaro covers the habits that make the medicine more effective.

What the trial showed

The headline evidence comes from SURMOUNT-1. In the SURMOUNT-1 trial of 2,539 adults, people taking tirzepatide alongside diet and exercise lost on average 15% of their body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, compared with 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone.2 These are trial averages — individual results vary, and treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them.2

A worked example makes the percentages concrete. For someone starting at 100 kg, 20.9% is about 21 kg. That is straight arithmetic on a trial average and not a prediction for you. Trial averages do not predict your own result, and we do not promise any specific outcome.

Why this matters for price

The point of the evidence is that a licensed medicine with a large trial behind it is worth buying properly. A low-priced pen is not good value if it is fake, mishandled, or taken in a way the trials never tested. The value is in a genuine pen, taken weekly as licensed, with a prescriber watching your response. Price comparison should serve that goal, not replace it.

Tirzepatide has a half-life of about five days, so after a final dose it takes roughly 4–5 weeks to clear the system — there is no way to speed this up, and nothing needs doing while it clears.1

08 · Fake pens and cheap offers

Why a very cheap offer can be dangerous

A price far below the range other pharmacies show should make you suspicious, because fake Mounjaro is a real and documented danger. The MHRA has seized thousands of fake weight-loss pens in the UK and has issued alerts after falsified Mounjaro pens were identified. Fake pens have caused hospitalisations — some contained insulin rather than tirzepatide.7 No saving is worth that risk.

Only buy from a pharmacy you can verify on the GPhC register, never from social media, beauty salons or unverified websites. Genuine treatment always involves a prescription and a clinical consultation.12 If a seller offers to supply without a consultation or prescription, walk away, however good the price looks. Our own registration is GPhC 9012878, and you can check it on the GPhC register yourself.

How genuine supply works

Mounjaro is manufactured by Eli Lilly. Genuine UK stock is supplied through Lilly's official distribution to licensed pharmacies; every pen carries a batch number and expiry date that can be checked.1 We source Mounjaro through official LillyDirect supply, directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, and all six doses are in stock. That chain of custody is part of what you pay for, and it is why a verified pharmacy is worth a modest premium over an anonymous seller.

Checking a pen when it arrives

A genuine UK Mounjaro pen comes from a registered pharmacy with a batch number and expiry date, arrives cold-chain packaged, and the solution inside is clear and colourless.1 Do not use a pen that has been frozen, looks cloudy or discoloured, has particles in it, is past its expiry, has been above 30°C, or has been in use out of the fridge for more than 30 days. Store pens in the fridge at 2–8°C until first use. If supply or packaging ever seems wrong, check the pharmacy on the GPhC register and contact the pharmacy before injecting.

Your own checklist before you pay is short. Is the pharmacy on the GPhC register? Does it require a consultation and prescriber review? Does it dispatch in temperature-controlled packaging? Will the pen show a batch number and expiry date? Can you reach a real person if something looks wrong? Our support team can be reached on weekdays by phone, email or account portal chat. If any answer is no, the price does not matter.

Report any suspected side effect or suspect product through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme as well.7 It is a quick way to help protect other patients, and it applies whether the pen came from us or elsewhere.

Treat price as the last filter, not the first. First confirm the seller is real and regulated, then compare like for like, and only then pick the best priced option from what is left.

09 · Savings to avoid

Legitimate ways to lower the bill

There are legitimate ways to manage cost. Compare the same dose across verified pharmacies. Use the new-customer discount on your first order and the reorder discount on later ones. Spread payments with Klarna or a pay-monthly option. Remember that none of these change how the medicine is taken.

Do not buy unregulated supplements as a substitute either. Low-cost supplements with dramatic weight-loss claims are available cheaply without assessment and carry no clinical oversight. They are not the same as a licensed, prescribed medicine, and the cheapness of a product says nothing about whether it works.

10 · NHS and private

NHS or private: where price meets access

Mounjaro is available on the NHS when you qualify, but access is phased, so many people consider private treatment. NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition, and the NHS primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first (initially BMI 40+ with four or more qualifying conditions). Full rollout is expected to take years, which is why many people who meet the licensed criteria choose regulated private treatment rather than waiting.46 Mounjaro should not be used during pregnancy or while trying to conceive, and it should be stopped at least one month before trying to conceive. If you become pregnant during treatment, stop the medicine and tell your prescriber promptly. Mounjaro slows stomach emptying, which can reduce how well oral contraceptive pills are absorbed: switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method (such as condoms), for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. You should not take Mounjaro if you are allergic to tirzepatide or any of its ingredients. Your prescriber will take extra care, or may recommend against treatment, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gut or digestive disease, diabetic retinopathy, or gallbladder problems.

Can my GP prescribe Mounjaro?

Your GP is the right first conversation if you think you may qualify for NHS treatment. Whether you are offered it depends on local rollout and on where you sit in the phased groups. The NHS prescription charge in England is £9.90 per item where it applies. If you do not yet qualify or prefer not to wait, private treatment is a legitimate alternative, as long as it comes from a registered pharmacy after a proper consultation.

Private treatment: what to expect

At a registered online pharmacy, a prescriber reviews your questionnaire and decides whether Mounjaro is suitable. It is used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. If the prescriber decides it is not suitable for you, the order is refunded automatically in full. Your treatment is then supported by monthly reviews, dose-titration and follow-up assessments by the prescribing team.

Choosing between them

Think about three things: eligibility, timing and cost. On the NHS, eligibility follows the national criteria and the phased groups, timing depends on local availability, and the direct cost is minimal. Privately, eligibility follows the licensed criteria and prescriber judgement, timing is faster, and you pay for the pen. Some people use private treatment while waiting for NHS access, and some stay private for the convenience and continuity.

Whichever route you take, the medicine is the same tirzepatide, and the guidance on how to take it does not change. What changes is how you pay, how quickly you can start and who monitors you. Be honest in your consultation about your weight, your health conditions and your medicines, because a safe and effective plan depends on accurate information.

Finally, keep the comparison fair. The NHS price to you is not a pharmacy price, and it comes with eligibility rules, so it is a different decision from choosing between private providers. If you are weighing it up, speak with your GP, then compare verified private pharmacies on the same dose, total cost and level of support. Our weight loss clinic page explains how our service fits alongside your GP's care.

11 · Choosing a provider

How to choose a provider beyond price

Once you have a shortlist of verified pharmacies, choose on service and reliability as well as price, because those decide how smooth your treatment is. Begin with registration: the pharmacy should appear on the GPhC register, and a prescriber should review your consultation. Ours is a GPhC-registered UK online pharmacy, and we describe our process exactly: a free consultation, prescriber review, dispensing by our registered pharmacy and free next-day tracked delivery.

Supply and stock

Ask where the pens come from. We use official LillyDirect supply, directly from Eli Lilly's UK distribution, with genuine KwikPens, and all six doses are in stock. A provider that cannot tell you where its pens come from is asking you to take its word for something you cannot check.

Delivery and handling

Mounjaro is stored in the fridge until first use, so cold-chain handling matters. Our delivery uses temperature-controlled, discreet packaging by DPD, and orders placed by 3pm are dispatched the same day. Saturday delivery is available at £14.99. When you compare, ask whether a competitor includes tracked, temperature-controlled delivery in its price or charges for it.

Aftercare and support

Starting an injectable medicine can bring questions about side effects, dose steps and what to do after a missed dose. We provide ongoing monthly clinical reviews, dose-titration and side-effect support. Our support team can be reached on weekdays by email at support@everydaymeds.co.uk, through the account portal chat or by phone on 0333 207 0413. Our free companion app, GLPTrackr, helps you track your journey on iOS and Android.

Flexibility

Look at payment and commitment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Klarna and pay-monthly options, and there is no subscription. Repeat orders re-check suitability, which protects you, and you decide when to reorder. Over 100,000 customers have been supported on their weight loss journey with us, which speaks to the scale of our service and not to how well the medicine will work for you.

Refunds

Know the refund position before you pay. Declined consultations are refunded automatically in full. Dispensed prescription medicines cannot be returned except when faulty, damaged or the wrong item, and then you should contact us within three days. Refunds take five to ten working days. A transparent policy is part of what you should expect from any pharmacy.

A good Mounjaro offer is the verified, fully described one where the total, the supply and the support all stand up to checking. To see our current prices and begin, visit the Mounjaro pen page.

12 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
What is the price of Mounjaro 2.5mg?
Our 2.5mg pen has a standard price of £169.99 for a four-week pen. Across the UK pharmacies we track, starting pens range from £143.96 to £179.99 (checked 10 October 2026), so compare the total including consultation and delivery before you decide.
Where can I find the cheapest Mounjaro in the UK?
Compare the same dose across pharmacies you can verify on the GPhC register, and add up every charge, including consultation, delivery and needles. Across the UK pharmacies we track, pens run from £143.96 to £339.00 per month depending on dose and provider. Be wary of anything far below that range, because fake pens have been seized in the UK. A low price from an unverified seller is never a bargain, so check registration first and price second.
How much does Mounjaro cost at Superdrug?
Prices, consultation fees and delivery terms change, so check Superdrug's own Mounjaro page for the exact dose you need and note what is included. For context, across the UK pharmacies we track, Mounjaro pens range from £143.96 to £339.00 per month (checked 10 October 2026). Compare the same strength and the full total, not just the headline pen price.
How much does Mounjaro cost at Asda pharmacy?
Look at Asda's own page for your dose and check whether a consultation fee or delivery charge applies on top. As a reference point, the lowest and highest Boots dose prices in our index are £179.00 and £339.00 per month. Across all the providers we track, the full range is £143.96 to £339.00, checked 10 October 2026.
Can my GP prescribe Mounjaro?
Yes, it is possible, but access is phased. Mounjaro is available on the NHS, and NICE recommends it for adults with a BMI of at least 35 plus at least one weight-related condition. The primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first, and full rollout is expected to take years. Ask your GP whether you qualify locally. If you do not yet, regulated private treatment after a prescriber-reviewed consultation is the alternative.4
How does Mounjaro help with weight loss?
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, which activates two natural gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. Together these help regulate appetite, slow how quickly the stomach empties, and improve the way the body responds to insulin. In practice, most people feel fuller sooner and less hungry between meals, which supports a reduced-calorie diet. It works alongside diet and increased physical activity, not instead of them, and individual results vary.1
How much weight can you lose on Mounjaro in 3 months?
Three months in, most people are still on the lower rungs of the dose ladder, so trial-average losses at this stage are modest compared with the headline figures. In SURMOUNT-1, average weight loss built month by month, with the full 15–21% averages measured at 72 weeks, not 12.2 A sensible 3-month expectation on a standard titration is mid single digits as a percentage of body weight, with wide individual variation. Slower early progress does not predict failure — the dose you respond to may still be ahead of you.
How long does it take to lose 3 stones on Mounjaro?
There is no honest way to give a time for a specific amount, because results differ widely between people and depend on dose, diet and activity. In SURMOUNT-1, 20.9% was the average loss on 15mg over 72 weeks; for someone starting at 100 kg, that is about 21 kg. It is an average, not a promise, so your prescriber can discuss realistic expectations with you.2
Is Mounjaro better than Wegovy?
Both are licensed treatments, and which suits you depends on your health profile, tolerance and prescriber advice. Mounjaro activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, while Wegovy's semaglutide is a single-action GLP-1 medicine. Wegovy's licensed ladder runs 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg, stepping up after at least four weeks. In the first large head-to-head trial (SURMOUNT-5), adults on tirzepatide lost on average 20.2% of body weight over 72 weeks versus 13.7% on semaglutide 2.4mg (Wegovy).
