In this guide

01 · The verdict

Are Apothecary Pharmacy tirzepatide reviews reliable?

Not enough to base a medical decision on. Reviews describe mixed experiences: some people say the product worked after they increased the dose, others say it felt weaker. Neither tells you the actual strength, purity or consistency of what was supplied.

Licensed Mounjaro is different. It is made by Eli Lilly as a KwikPen in six set strengths: 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg and 15mg.1 Trial results such as SURMOUNT-1 relate to that licensed product, not to compounded versions.

02 · Getting it in the UK

What a UK-regulated route looks like

We are a GPhC-registered pharmacy (9012878), and you can check our register entry. Our Mounjaro is sourced through official LillyDirect supply, with free next-day tracked delivery and same-day dispatch when ordered by 3pm.

The Mounjaro pen starts at £169.99 per month. Your first 2.5mg pen costs £129.99 with code FIRST40 (standard price £169.99). Every later order is £25 off the standard price. See how to buy Mounjaro.

Ordering takes three steps: a free online consultation, review by a GPhC-registered prescriber (declined orders are refunded automatically), then dispensing and tracked delivery. Start your free consultation.

03 · Licensed vs compounded

Licensed vs compounded tirzepatide

Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide, a once-weekly prescription injection licensed in the UK for weight management and type 2 diabetes.1 In SURMOUNT-1 (2,539 adults), people lost on average 15% of body weight on 5mg, 19.5% on 10mg and 20.9% on 15mg over 72 weeks, versus 3.1% with lifestyle changes alone. Individual results vary.2 Treatment works alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

04 · Who it suits

Who Mounjaro is licensed for

It is licensed for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 to 30 with at least one weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnoea, cardiovascular disease, prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is used with a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity. A prescriber assesses your history and medicines first.1

The NHS also offers it, but access is phased over several years; the primary-care rollout began in June 2025 with the highest-need groups first.4

05 · Safer buying checks

Checks before buying any weight-loss injection

  • Find the pharmacy on the GPhC register.
  • Walk away from anyone offering to supply without a consultation or prescription.
  • Report suspected counterfeits or side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.7

Compare more options on all weight loss treatments, or see Mounjaro reviews from a UK-registered pharmacy.

06 · Serious side effects

Serious side effects: when to get help straight away

Serious side effects are uncommon but need urgent attention. Seek immediate medical help for: severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting (possible pancreatitis); pain in the upper right abdomen, fever or yellowing of skin/eyes (possible gallbladder problems); or signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or throat and difficulty breathing. If you take insulin or a sulfonylurea alongside Mounjaro, watch for low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, confusion) — your prescriber may need to adjust those medicines.1

How ordering works

How ordering works at EverydayMeds

Three steps, with our pharmacy team alongside you.

  1. EverydayMeds online consultation on a mobile phone

    Step 1: Online consultation — 5–10 minutes

Complete a confidential health questionnaire covering BMI, medical history and current medication. No payment is taken until you're approved.

  2. A clinician ready to review an online consultation

Step 2: Prescriber review — usually same day

A UK registered prescriber checks your suitability against the licensed criteria (BMI ≥30, or ≥27 with a weight-related condition) and contraindications, and confirms your starting dose.

  3. An EverydayMeds delivery box

    Step 3: Next-day tracked delivery

Dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy in temperature-controlled packaging with needles and a sharps bin included. Orders approved by 3pm for next-day tracked delivery.

Your questions, answered

Mounjaro price UK — frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about Mounjaro prices, NHS access and ongoing treatment.

Ask our pharmacy team
What is the most reputable company for compounded tirzepatide?
We cannot recommend a compounded supplier. In the UK, the licensed tirzepatide product is Mounjaro, supplied by GPhC-registered pharmacies after a prescriber review. Check any pharmacy on the GPhC register, and be cautious about products that are not the licensed medicine.
What is the bad side of tirzepatide?
Like any medicine it can cause side effects, and it is not suitable for everyone. A prescriber reviews your history and current medicines first. Common side effects are mostly digestive, such as nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation and abdominal discomfort. Seek immediate medical help for severe, persistent stomach pain, pain in the upper right abdomen with fever or yellowing of the skin or eyes, or signs of a severe allergic reaction. Report side effects through the Yellow Card scheme.
Are apothecary and pharmacy the same?
Historically an apothecary prepared and sold medicines, and the word now survives mostly as a brand name. In the UK, a pharmacy supplying medicines must be registered with the GPhC, so check the register entry rather than relying on the name.
Is apothecary a compounding pharmacy?
The name alone does not tell you. Reviews link Apothecary Pharmacy to compounded tirzepatide, which is not the licensed UK product. For Mounjaro, we supply genuine KwikPens through official LillyDirect supply.
Who owns Apothecary?
The name is used by several businesses, so ownership depends on which pharmacy you mean. For any pharmacy you are considering, check its registration and ownership details on the relevant regulator's public register.
What is sold at an apothecary shop?
Traditionally, medicines, remedies and preparations. Today the word is used loosely by pharmacies and shops. In the UK, prescription medicines such as Mounjaro may only be supplied by a registered pharmacy after a prescriber's review.
