Description
Periactin 4mg tablets are used to treat: skin allergies with itchiness, swelling, or red skin, eczema or nettle rash.
Itchiness of chicken pox and reactions to insect bites and stings.
Sneezing, watery eyes and blocked or runny nose caused by an allergy such as hayfever (allergic rhinitis).
Conjunctivitis caused by an allergy - with red, watery, inflamed eyes.
Migraine and other similar headaches.
These conditions cause too much histamine and serotonin to be produced in the body.
Periactin 4mg tablets contain the active ingredient cyproheptadine, an antihistamine that stops the unwanted effects of histamine and seratonin to relieve the symptoms that too much of these substances causes.
