Almus Co-Codamol 8/500mg Effervescent Tablets – 32 Pack

• Contains paracetamol.
• Do not take anything else containing paracetamol while taking this medicine.
• Talk to a doctor at once if you take too much of this medicine, even if you feel well.
• • This medicine is used for the short-term treatment of acute moderate pain which is not relieved by paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone such as headaches, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, painful menstrual periods and rheumatic pain.
• • If you need to take this medicine continuously for more than three days you should see your doctor or pharmacist.
• This medicine contains codeine which can cause addiction if you take it continuously for more than three days.
• If you take this medicine for headaches for more than three days it can make them worse This medicine can make you feel sleepy.
• Do not drive while taking this medicine until you know how it makes you feel.

1. Dissolve the effervescent tablets in a glass of water before taking.
2. Warning: Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
3. If you do not get better, talk to your doctor.
4. Adults over 18 years of age and the elderly: Two tablets every 4 hours when necessary up to a maximum of 8 tablets in 24 hours.
5. Children aged 16 to 18 years: One to two tablets every 6 hours when necessary up to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours.
6. Children aged 12 to 15 years: One tablet every 6 hours when necessary up to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours.

Active Ingredients:

Each effervescent tablet contains 8 mg codeine phosphate hemihydrate and 500 mg paracetamol. Each tablet contains 100 mg of sorbitol (E420) and 418.59 mg sodium (equivalent to 18.20 mmol). High in sodium – see leaflet for further information.
