Description
Used to treat scabies and crab lice.
Permethrin belongs to a group of medicines called the pyrethroids which are anti-parasitic agents.
Ingredients the active ingredient is permethrin (5% w/w).
The other ingredients are coconut oil, glyceryl monostearate, macrogol cetyl ether, cetomacrogol 1000, isopropyl myristate, lanolin alcohols/liquid paraffin mixture, butylated hydroxytoluene (e321) glycerol, formaldehyde solution, carbomer, sodium hydroxide and purified water.
Directions scabies: adults and children 2 months and over: apply to clean, dry, cool skin.
Been taken prior to treatment the skin should be allowed to cool before the cream is applied.
Wash whole body thoroughly 8-12 hours after treatment.
Not recommended below 2 months.
Crab lice: suitable for adults over 18 years only.
Sufficient cream should be applied to cover the pubic region, perianal, inner thighs down to the knees and any hair that grows up from the pubic area to the chest/stomach.
